"Michael, what's wrong with you?!" I ask walking up to him, but he doesn't answer. "Michael?"
"Ray, stay out of this." He says.
"What is going on?!" I ask waiting for an answer and he looks at me. "Well."
"It's not fair." He says like he's a child.
"What's not fair?" I look at him and then it dawned on me. "Michael, don't tell me......."
"You knew. You knew, Ray!" He yells at me and I slowly back away.
"There's nothing I can do about that. You know as well as I do that it won't happen. I thought you would have forgotten by now." I say. The tension in room gets worse.
"It's not happening. I won't let it." He looks at Sans and then goes for an attack, but Hunter jumps on him growling in his face. "Even the damn wolves are on his side."
"Michael, what do you want from me? You know it wouldn't have worked anyway, even if I did. You can't hold that against me!" I say and storm out the house into the night.
"Ray!" I can hear Little Bosses voice. I keep on, farther into the woods until I'm sure I'm far enough away. I sit by the creak, looking at the moon. It's a good thing it's warm outside, Summer is a life saver.
"hey alpha." I hear a voice knowing it's Sans. "i don't know what's goin on, but if ya wanna talk about it we can." He says sitting next to me and I sigh.
"Michael isn't my biological brother, I was adopted. As kids we were always together and we played all day without a care in the world. He would say things like let's get married or where do you wanna live? and I would just agree with him and pick any random place. I truly thought of him as a big brother, but as we got older he grew attached and developed feelings. He confessed to me and I told him I'd think about it knowing it wouldn't happen because I didn't think of him in that way. I thought he'd finally got over it, but it seems he hasn't. I don't want it to be like this between us, but he's pushing it that way." I say leaning on him.
"well, can you sit him down and talk to him? he obviously doesn't like me for the wrong reason." Sans says.
"Actually, I have a better idea. I hate doing this, but he needs to learn his lesson." I reply standing up.
"we'd better head back." Sans says grabbing my hands and in the blink of an eye we arrive. I make my way up to my room and Sans follows. We walk in and see Little Boss fast asleep and we join in the fun. The next morning, Dream woke us up for breakfast and we all got dressed headed downstairs. Mom had all of our plates set out and Michael was already sitting at the table.
"How is everyone this morning?" She asks. Everyone responds except for Michael.
"Sans, I'm going to the store later, would you accompany me?" I ask.
"Of course." He says as he prepares to eat. I finish my food first and take the canines out into the woods.
'Alpha, I'm sorry about attacking Michael yesterday.' Hunter apologizes.
"You're fine. Michael deserved it, Sans did nothing to him. He just wanted to throw a temper tantrum." I say looking at the ground.
'How about we go for a run?' Karma says and the pack gets wily.
"Alright, but just one. I have to get back to the house to go to the store." I say and I take off in a random direction. The wolves are surrounding me. It feels good to run again, the wind in my face and the sunbeams streaking through the trees.
'Feels good right.' Knight says panting.
"Yeah. I haven't ran through the woods in a while." I say breathing hard. "I missed the smell out here."
'I hope this makes you feel better.' Hunter says.
"I feel a lot better." I say slowing down and catching my breath. We make a run back to house and I see Michael sitting on the porch. I peek my head in the door. "Sans, I'm ready."
"i'm on my way down." He replies. I hear a door close and he suddenly appears behind.
"you can't scare me anymore, not with that trick." I say turning around and almost jumping off the porch.
"Don't lose your head." He says as he puts his back on his spine.
"Sans." I whine. "That's not funny." I say but he seemed to enjoy it. I roll my eyes and start down the path.
"hold on, i was kidding." He says laughing. "alpha."
"Whatever Sans." I reply laughing.
"so how long does it take to get there?" He asks.
"Well we're walking so probably an hour." I reply.
"well, let's speed this up." He says taking my hand and we arrive right on the outskirts of town.
"Come on, we have a few things to get." I say walking into town. We get a few glares. "What do you want for dinner?"
"Well........... if you want me to be honest......." He says nudging me and push him.
"Sans." I say looking at him.
"a'ight. i don't know." He shrugs.
"I'll make spaghetti, Paps' favorite." I say walking down the aisles and grabbing for ingredients.
"slow down pup." He says, but I'm already around the corner. I finish up in this aisle and turn toward Sans........ who isn't there.
"Sans?" I look around. "Sans?" I call. I see if I can pick up on his scent and I follow it to an exit in the back. I walk out and see a few guys in a circle. "Excuse me, I'm looking for someone." I say and they all turn around.
"Look at that fine piece of ass right there." One of the guys say.
"Save it." I say.
"Don't be like that. I'm sure we can help you find your friend." Another one says as he approaches me.
"hey pup, could ya let me down from here." I look up and see Sans tied up on a pipe dangling down.
