About a week goes by and Jackie keeps up with his training. I keep him out of sight from the others for a while until he is conditioned. He books the hotel closest to the house which is about 20 to 30 minutes away, give or take. We started closed combat and dodging and he's catching on really fast. Sans, LB, and Gaster have been running the everything since I've been out so much lately, they also have been returning to the main house later and later every night. Jackie seems excited to learn more new things each day.

"When are we going to train again?" Jackie questions.

"Give me a second, I need finish this form for the clothes." I say as sign my name on the online document and send it. I close my laptop and take Jackie to the training grounds deep in the woods.

"You were right, all I had to do was what you tell me." He says and I give him a gentle smile.

"That's good. Now it's time to review what you have learned through combat." I say looking up at him.

"Combat?" He questions. "Are you sure I'm ready for that?"

"I don't know. That's up to you. I have some stuff to attend to, I'll check on you later." I say walking away. I start looking for everyone near the complex and the over by the main house. I thought it strange that no one was there and so called Sans' phone.

'hey there cupcake.'

"Hey Sans, do you know where everyone is, I'm getting worried."

'don't worry, they're fine. it's part of trainin.'

"Okay. I'm going to trust you on this as long as they're okay. Also, do you know how mom's condition is?"

'she's fine. gaster is takin care of her.'

"I know that, I mean do you know how stable her condition is?"

'i'd love to tell ya right now, but i have to go. i'll see ya tonight.'

"Fine."

I hang up up the phone in a slightly irritated mood. I head into the main house and make something to eat for Jackie and me. I plop down on the couch and start watching TV, there are some good show on about some college drama. The main character Stacey had just transferred into the school and her ex was there, she avoided him for a while, but was eventually caught. Then he found out she had another boyfriend and pretended to be okay with it, but really he wanted to strangle the mess out of the guy and so she put a restraining order on him. Her and current boyfriend are trying not to go to extreme measures, but he ends up pushing it too far and the family gets involved and it's looking it will turn into a shoot out on campus. After about an hour, the show went off and I went to go and check on Jackie. He was out of breath, but still trying to keep up with wolves. He had a few nicks here and there, but nothing serious.

"Why didn't you tell me I'd be fighting wolves?!" He questions.

"Because danger will almost never announce itself, you must be able to adapt to any situation in an instant and that's why I'm training you. That and the fact that you're probably going to be tested, not too sure." I explain smiling. "After all, humans must find a way to survive."

"That's true, I can't really argue against that." He says letting out a sigh.

"Come on, I made you something to eat." I say motioning him, he jogs up to my side and we head toward the house.

"You know, I never knew you could be this cool. You are a really laid back person." He says.

"Stop with the compliments please because I know where this going." I say letting out a sigh. "It always happens this way. Jackie, I am not single."

"I know, but still, it feels good to be around you." He replies smiling. We reach the house and I warm up his food.

"Here you go." I say handing him his plate. "I have a question for you."

"What is it?" He asks looking up at me while taking in a spoon fool of spaghetti.

"It's almost time to make a choice and I need to know, do you want to be a human or a monster?" I ask and he looks at weird. "I know it sounds weird, but I live with monsters, I am a monster and I don't mean in a bad way. I need to know which side you will pick."

"Well, this is completely unrelated to the fact that I have a crush on you. Based on my experience, the human race isn't so bad, they have their good apples and their bad apples. I've never met this monster community, yet you talk so highly of them and you sound like you'd do anything to protect them." He says. "With this knowledge, I'm going to put my faith in the Monster Community. You never know how things can turn out."

"I'm glad that was your answer." I say letting out a sigh of relief and he looks a little confused. "If you had chosen the humans, I wouldn't be able to talk to you anymore. One day, I may have to kill you actually and I wouldn't want that, not for you. I'm glad you're trusting me." I say hugging him. "Let's get you back to the hotel before the others arrive." I say standing up and stretching.

"Alright." He says grabbing his jacket from the coat rack and putting it on. We head out and begin walking toward the hotel. "So, what does your boyfriend look like?"

"He's a skeleton." I reply.

"What?" He starts giggling.

"He's a skeleton and so is my dad. My brother is a skeleton too, my mom is a goat, and my uncle is fire. This is all on the monster side of the family." I say.

"What are their names?" He questions.

"My boyfriend's name is Sans, his brother's name is Papyrus, dad's name W.D. Gaster, or Gaster for short. My goat mom's name is Toriel and my uncle's name is Grillby." I say.

"For a second I thought all the skeletons were named after fonts." He says.

"They are. W.D. stands for Wing Ding." I explain and them my head shifts a little. I pull Jackie off to the side of the road.

"What's happening?" He questions, but I just motion him to be quiet. Not long after, footsteps begin to pass right in front of our faces.
