The Alpha League [ Completed ]

Chapter: 22

"I need the three of you to infiltrate a rival gang of ours. They have hostages that we need. Once you have successfully taken them back and brought them here unharmed, I will know that I can trust you with the information on why I need them." He says handing us a slip of paper. "I'll see you when I see you, unless you die, then I'll see you in hell." He adds. We all get up and silently walk out. The bartender lady leads us out the door and heads home and so do we. Once we arrive, we take off the trench coats and hats.

"Finally! We're home." Alpha says flopping on the couch and the canines bombard her. LB let's out a sigh and sits down in a chair in the kitchen.

"This is going be a pain." LB says leaning back in the chair.

"yeah, but we gotta do it." I say. "we don't have a choice."

"I smell..... monsters. I think everyone is here." Alpha says jumping up and running for the door. "I see Paps coming." She jumps around just like an excited pup. He walks in the house and she jumps on him.

"Woah, Alpha you guys are back." He says falling to the ground.

"Paps, it's been so long since I've seen you. I've missed you." She says. If she had a tail, it'd be wagging fast enough to create winds.

"heya pap, ain't seenya inna while." I say looking over s Alpha finally let's him off the ground.

"Yeah, I'm still working on the buildings, but some others are helping now as well." He replies. "I just came to get some refreshments.

"glad to see ya not workin ya'self to the bone." I reply and Alpha and LB start laughing.

"I did not miss the puns though." He groans. "Have you found Michael and mom yet?"

"nah, but we might have a clue of some sort." I say looking at the paper the guy from earlier gave us. "it says fontaine. what is a fontaine?"

"It's another big corporation in the city. They own some of the pubs and clubs in the district closer to the other side of town. It's just past the Incorporeal building." Alpha explains. "I've heard stories about them, but thy were only rumors."

"so, ya know where it is alpha?" I ask.

"Yeah we can go there now if you guys want." She says looking at me and LB.

"I'm down, just wanna get them home so we can all be together again." LB says.

"I'm sure mom wants to see me before the time comes." Alpha says with a strange look on her face.

"Let's go then." I say grabbing the a cloak similar to the one Alpha wears. "We can't waste time." I add and they small and follow behind me.

"It's a good thing your mom keeps all these cloaks." LB says and Alpha chuckles.

"We always had a lot of these. She would get me one almost every other time she went into town which wasn't often." Alpha responds."Be careful, Pap." She says taking my hand and the three of us disappear. I get us the front entrance of Inc. and from there it's up to the pup.

"alpha, lead the way to this corporation." I say and she takes the lead. We walk for a while passing alley after alley. Some parts of the districts seem to be rather torn up and others are pretty decent. We come to a part that is very well maintained, there were lights everywhere, flashing signs, and the smell of liquor surrounded us. We took one of the dark alleys to the roof and stowed away in the shadows. They ran across the rooftops and Alpha just carried me since I couldn't make any of the jumps. We eventually arrive outside of the building and just like Inc, we knew it had a lot of cameras.

"We don't know where they are. What do we do now?" LB questions.

"I guess it's time to go full canine." Alpha says and her eyes change, they glowed a golden color. "I'm gonna get the power, you guys go on in, I'll catch up. LB, I'm counting on you." With those words she took off the building. LB and I waited at the top for Alpha to cut the power.

"so, did ya know about this full canine thing she had goin on?" I ask.

"She would joke about it, but I never thought she was serious. It was always one those I'll go full wolf on ya. I wonder why she never used it before?" LB looks at me and I shrug.

"i don't know, but i'll beta bunch that alpha was just savin it for when she really needed it." I say and LB starts giggling. Suddenly, we see a flicker in the lights and then moments later, they go out. Without a second thought, LB grabbed me and yanked me over the top of the building. Honestly, I didn't think we could make the jump because it was so wide, but LB had some spring, didn't even need a running start. Alpha trained her well, a little too well. We broke through the glass and hit the ground running full speed. LB's reflexes were just as sharp as Alpha's, each turn was sharp and quick, almost immediate. We heard footsteps, they were quick, but we were quicker. We made it to the elevators, but of course it didn't worker after Alpha cut the power.

"The stairs will take to long, we need to find another way down." LB says softly.

"I can handle this one." A familiar voice emerges and the golden eyes pierce through the dark. Alpha uncovers her hands that almost look like claws and wedge them between the elevator doors. She pries the doors open like she was ripping a piece of paper in half and jump straight in and LB follows behind her. We land on top of the elevator and LB puts me down.

"ya got an idea?" I ask looking at them. Alpha raises her hand and takes a swing at the thick cables, cutting them and the elevator flies downward, the wind blew the cloaks upward.

1......... Knees bent.

2........ All set

3......... We jump.

The elevator crashes into the ground and we land on top. Alpha kicks in the top of the panel in and we drop down. She pries the doors and we all walk out one by one. I grab Alpha's cloak and LB grabs mine, leading us through the corridors.
