I help them up and into the house, sitting them on the couch. I go in the kitchen, wash my hands, and get them some water. They seem to relax for a minute before introducing themselves.
"Hello, my name is Ellie Guordan, but you can call me Ellie." The female says looking at me.
"I am her husband, Artimus Guordan. You can call me Arty for short." He says extending his hand out and I shake it. "Thank you for helping us out of there, you and your friends really saved us." He says.
"No problem at all. My name is Ray by the way, but all of my friends address me as Alpha." I reply smiling at them. "Choose which ever one is more comfortable with you. So what made you start working for that Mason person in the first place?" I ask.
"Well, more 15 years ago, our daughter was taken from us. We know she's still alive, but we can't find her. Mason said he would help us find her if we did work for him, experimentation. We blindly threw ourselves in, hoping to find her somehow, but have yet to come across any information." Ellie explains.
"We just want to see her again." Arty adds on.
"What is her name?" I ask looking at them intently.
"Her name is Esmerelda Guordan." Ellie says holding back her tears.
"The name sounds familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I will help you find your daughter, but it's going to be hard seeing as though it's been years and she's grown by now." I say. "Is there anything unique, that might make her stand out?"
"She loved animals, wolves specifically since we used to live near the woods, her hair was about your color. There isn't much else we can tell you." Ellie says.
"What about the incident?" Arty says and she cuts her eyes at him. "I know we agreed to never talk about it again, but this could really help."
"Fine." She says looking away.
"So, Esmerelda was a toddler when this happened, but we were conducting experiments for the government on the fusion of molecules to enhance DNA before it became illegal. We left the room for a minute and she somehow got inside without us noticing. By the time we got back, the machine was already done, the procedure was a success, but it seemed to have no effect on her at all except the wolf that we used seemed to be drawn to her. We then got ambushed suddenly and the wolf took our child and ran off with her. We had a chip inside of it, but when we got around to searching the only thing left was the corpse of the wolf." Arty explains. "If that helps at all."
"I'll see what I can do for you guys." I say nodding my head as I take in the information.
"Well, if you don't mind us asking, where are your parents?" Ellie questions.
"I was actually adopted and my only guardian is now deceased. It's fine, I know these things happen. I have my family here." I say smiling at them.
"Well make sure to stay out of mafias, they're always up to no good. There's another that popped called MCC apparently, they seem a bit sketchy." Ellie says and I giggle.
"I don't think we're sketchy at all and we even took it upon ourselves to open a cafe so we didn't seem suspicious either." I say and their eyes widen with shock.
"This is a mafia?! I can't believe we got ourselves into another one. If you be so kind as to let us go and not tell your boss about us. We're really tired of being jerked around by these people. You don't have to worry about helping us if it's too much trouble." Ellie says letting out a sigh and I just giggle. Just as I say something, Jackie runs down the stairs with his computer in hand.
"Boss! Look at this. Alate Gamma is already on the news. They can't figure who the culprits were, but they found a man by the name of Mason on the floor with his heart next to him." He says and I look up at them. They stare at me in silence for a second.
"Another mafia down, another one to go." I say smiling at them. "As you can see, I don't have to tell the boss since you already told me the situation." I add.
"Please don't kill us. We'll do anything." Ellie says looking at me.
"Anything?" I smirk and they get a worried look on their. "Cool! Then join us for dinner tonight." I say and they look at me baffled, wondering if what they heard was correct. Papyrus bursts through the door.
"Boss! You are back! It's good to see you again!" He says hugging me, crushing my back.
"Papy, I can't really breath." I say and he sets me down.
"Sorry." He says and I start laughing at him. Aurora comes in next with Brandy.
"Looks like we'll need more chairs. Papy, start dinner please." I say.
"I'll help!" LB yells jumping over the banister of the second floor.
"You guys are crazy." I say shaking my head. I turn towards Ellie and Artimus. "Are you going to join us in our eventful dinner tonight. It is for you guys after all." I say and they take minute before nodding their heads.
"Is this really a mafia? You guys don't act like it all. And are you really the boss?" Ellie throws questions at me.
"Yes, this is a mafia. The rest of the family is just down the road. As far as the way we act, we act like ourselves. I'm not going to tell them to be something they're not and I'm not going to force them to do stuff they want to unless I have to. And to answer your final question, yes I am the boss. They kind of pinned it on me suddenly so yeah. I'm still kind of new." I explain as I set the table and they help out with the chairs.
"Yeah, she may be new, but she's the best at it so far. No one could ever take her place." LB says jumping in and I chuckle at the statement.
"the pup is the best. shes been protectin the monsters with her life and we've been doin the same for her. y'know, it's hard to come across someone like her in this world." Sans says making his way into the kitchen. Ellie and Arty stop and look up realizing that there were two skeletons in the house. Gaster pops in out of no where and scares them.
"Hello guest." He says and they nearly jump out of their skin.
"Dad, you scared them. You can't just pop up behind people like that." I say laughing.
"I apologize." He says and they look at him and then me with a questioned look on their face. "Do not worry, I am not her biological parent, I'm sure she explained that earlier." And they let out a sigh of relief. The look on their face was priceless.
