"What just happened?" Little Boss asks looking around confused.

"We were ambushed..... I think." Alpha says. "They took Michael."

"and ya mom." I add. "they didn't leave a trace behind either."

"Those bastards!" She basically breaks the table in half pounding her fist against it.

"calm down, we'll get em back." I say trying to make her feel better.

"The problem is they're gonna try and get information from them they don't have." She replies.

"And to think we just got back from a job." Little Boss says yawning.

"You know what, let's head to bed and look in the morning." Alpha says and I just shrug it off.

"You sure you don't wanna go now?" Little Boss asks.

"I'm sure. They won't kill them right away. I'm not too worried." She replies and we make our way upstairs. Tonight, we sleep in the same room like the old days. In the morning, Alpha is already up, dressed, and breakfast was made. Lil Boss and I get ready and head downstairs to eat.

"What are we going to do now?" Little Boss questions.

"I sent a few of the wolves out to look for clues and a few others to see if they can pick up on a faint scent." Alpha says sitting at the table.

"we could always destroy the entire city." I say looking them.

"Yeah, but that's the last thing we'll resort to." She says.

"where's paps?" I ask.

"He went out to work on the buildings again, he really wants everyone to feel at home." She replies and I just smile. One of the canines come back with something in it's mouth.

"Bark, bark."

"What did he say?" Little Boss ask and we both lean in.

"He said he found this on a dead wolf. He was shot after attacking them. He searched the area before coming back and got some more information. The guys that kidnapped mom and Michael were very unique. Apparently, they are one of top 5 gangs here." She explains.

"how does a wolf get all this information?" I ask.

"Only if they are well trained." She replies. "Anyways, we got what we need. Let's go get them before dinner time."

"Right. Don't forget to grab the trench coats." Lil Boss says and we make our way out. Inside a hollow tree, Alpha grabs our guns and we immediately head to town. We take a stroll, getting a few glares here and there, but they didn't approach us. We stop at bar, one of the most popular bars to see what we can gather. Inside was dim with pink and red lighting, it was very mellow, but tense as though anything could suddenly shift the air. It smelled of alcohol and cigars with a mixture of cologne and perfume. They had tall chairs around circular tables and booths that lined up against the wall. The stools were placed at the bar tenders section where we sat. We all lined up with waters, but remained cautious just in case.

"ay, do ya have any idea who the top 5 gangs are in this town?" I ask looking at the bartender.

"That's a rather dangerous question to ask. I'd answer, but that would put me at risk." She says leaning over counter.

"what kinda trouble? i'm sure i can help ya with that." I reply and she just smirks.

"Well, everyone else that has attempted to help has died in the process." She explains. "Now, I'm a bit curious, why do you want to help me? Do you want something from me?"

"i do want something from ya. ya know savin don't come cheap." I reply in a low tone.

"What did you have in mind?" She questions seeming more interested.

"oh, i'll tell ya that later." I chuckle. "now, why dontcha pass a little information on ya current position."

"Well, money was tight and I was looking for someone to stay with at the time. One of the guys from this gang called Incorporeal, they come in like ghosts, never seen, never heard, and then they're gone." She says.

"how long have ya been stuck in this lil predicament?" I ask her.

"A few years. I don't need any help now, but since I'm involved with them, they won't let me leave." She says.

"what time do ya get off?" I ask.

"Real soon. About thirty minutes." She replies.

"why don't i head back over to ya place and we can get more details." I suggest.

"Smooth, but my place is infested with devices. I can take you to the source, well the start of it and you can work your way up from there. Good timing too, their boss has been looking for a couple of assassins ever since things got....... real." She glances out the corner of her eye.

"well, let me know when ya done and we can head over." I wink at her and she makes her trips to her customers again. I drink the water, trying to stay sober so I don't screw anything up. When I look up, Lil Boss and Alpha aren't there. I keep my cool until I know for sure that they are gone. I look around and an object catches my eye, I look up and see Alpha sitting at another table with Lil Boss. I chill until her shift ends and we walk out of the bar together.

"So, what made you ask about the gangs?" She questions me.

"well, i'm new and i've noticed some mischievous behavior. i heard a few things, but nothin special." I reply.

"Trying to get to the top so you don't get eaten alive, good choice." She says. "So, are you any good at shooting, they are looking for killers."

"i'm pretty good." I reply. "now, ya say he's lookin for assassins, with an s, right?" I ask.

"Yeah, do you know anyone else?" She asks.

"i do, i know two other people aside from me actually." I look up at her.
