Here's a new chapter. thanks for reading. hope you enjoy. please vote, comment.

I'm in my room when I woke up. I don't know how I got here. Sitting up in bed, there's no one in the room with me, looking around, my stuff from last night is sitting on my chair, but I'm still in my dress.

Climbing out of bed, I grabbed my robe and stepped over to the door. I can hear noises, but I don't see anyone anywhere. In fact I have yet to see the cat.

Walking out, I grabbed the knife I still have in my bag, just to be safe.

Stepping very lightly, I made it to the kitchen. Quinn is standing there, he's making breakfast. He turned, having no idea I'm standing there. "God Shayla! How long have you been up?" "Not long. How long have you been here?" "I stayed after I put you to bed." He said pouring me a mug of Coffey, saying I look like I could use it.

"Have a seat, food will be ready in a moment." Sitting down, Lilith jumped on the table, purring against my hand. I still have the knife in hand, I set it on the table, as Quinn came over; with a plate for me, eyeing the knife.

"Should I ask why you have that?" Shaking my head. "It's nothing. I had it with me after seeing Cormac. It made me feel safe."

That and changing into a small dragon also helped with that. "Thank you for bringing me home last night." He nodded.
"Of course. But when we were walking back, I saw Cormac. I didn't like the looks of him, and I didn't want to leave you alone, to I stayed with you; just to be safe. But there hasn't been any signs of him." He said sitting down across from me, grabbing the cat, setting her on the floor.

"So after you eat, we'll head into the shop. If that's alright with you." I nodded, then it hit me, he's no longer wearing his costume from last night. Raising an eyebrow. "Where did the clothes come from?" "I left a bag downstairs. Mia wasn't home, so I left it down there." "You knew you were going to need it?" Shrugging. "Just in case I needed it, and it turns out I did. Does it bother you?"

"No not at all." I said taking a sip of my mug. I ate a few bites, he's a great cook, and he should have gone into cooking, rather than baking.

Getting up from the table, grabbing my mug, I went to my room, to get ready for work. It's then I noticed it, my sketch book is open on the Coffey table, open to a drawing of him.

Closing it, I took it into my room, and pulled off my robe, grabbing a pair of jeans, and a long sleeved top, I pulled off my dress, hanging it up. Looking at the tiara I won last night.

Silver plated, it's of course Halloween looking, fashioned to look like a spiders web, with a jewelled spider in the center of it.

Setting it back down, I put on my runners, just as Quinn knocked on my door.

"What's up?" I asked opening the door. "We need to go, there's a lot to do." I nodded, and grabbed my keys, following him out the door. Mia is nowhere to be seen, but that is to be expected, since she probably got in late.

Walking down the street; everyone is taking down the decorations. "They don't waste any time do they?" "Not at all. Before you know it, there be putting up Christmas decorations. Not that is something you don't want to witness happening. Come on." Quinn unlocked the door, and let me go in first.

There's already smells coming the kitchen, Lisa is just pulling two pans of muffins from one of the ovens. "Morning. There's a Coffey there for each of you." She said motioning to a tray from the diner. "How long have you been here?" I asked looking around. She has most of the muffins done, her cakes baked, even most of my cupcakes, have been done.
