The last few days of November came and went without incident. I saw Cormac once, but he didn't say or do anything, he growled, and I can feel the anger coming off of him.

But for the most part he stayed clear of me, and he stayed away from Lisa as well, I made sure of that.

Tina Lisa and I did a girls night, they don't really get along all that well, but they managed to be civil to each other, even if it was for my sake. Which I do appreciate.

Quinn came and walked me to work, making sure Cormac stayed away from me.

It's December second and it's cold out, but there's still no snow,

The day came and went like any other day. Past midnight; I don't know why I can't sleep, but I can't. Lying in bed staring at my sealing isn't helping me. My body needs something, but I don't know what it needs.

"Come on, you know what you need. It's past Midnight; there won't be anyone out this time of night. Just go."

Climbing out of bed, I pulled on a sweater; and shoes. Lilith tried to follow me, but she can't.

"No baby, you have to stay here. I won't be gone long." Picking her up and set her on the couch and quickly got out before she can follow me.

All lights are off downstairs, so I slipped out the front door like a shadow. Looking around, everything is so quiet, at night the town looks so different. Running down the street the only noise around me is the sound of my shoes hitting the pavement. But I have the strange sense that someone is watching me from a distance. Ignoring it I keep running, the dragon is coming, I have to get into the woods before she comes out on her own. I'm just about to the tree line, it starts. Scales start to cover my body, and my muscles start to lengthen and expand.
"Come on just a little further, I have to get in the trees." But she won't listen to me, the change is coming on faster with each step; until I'm a human size dragon, and growing. As my wings expand, I start flapping trying to get off the ground. By the time I hit the sky my body has doubled in size.

Getting through the cloud cover; I level out, enjoying the cool night breeze flowing through my scales.

Its last quarter moon, making my scales glow. Gliding through the sky, you can lose yourself up there, anything that's wrong, just melts away, and you can think again. It's so clear out, millions of stars in the sky, twinkling above me. Turning back towards the trees; the change will come to me now, since my body is relaxed. I just have to hope she'll wait till I land to start the reversal process. Landing in my usual spot; the change started, and I'm soon back.

"Oh my god!" spinning around so fast I almost tripped a small log. Quinn is standing there, mouth agape. "What are you doing here?" "What the hell are you?" He's not moving, not doing anything. "Shayla what are you?" "That's complicated, I can't tell you."

"Shayla I just watched you as a dragon, and turn back into a human. That's not natural." Nodding. "I know. And if you give me a chance I will try and explain it to you." He nodded; moved towards me, looking me up and down, as if I'm not real or something. We took a seat against a tree like we did last time we were in the woods like this, together.

"Tell me, what are you?" Taking a deep breathe. "I'm a waredragon." His mouth agape. "You're a what?" "You herd me. I can change into a dragon, you know like a werewolf, but instead of a wolf, it's a dragon." Moving towards me, he touched my arm, making sure I'm actually here.
