Here's a new chapter. thanks for reading.
Not until we're out of sight of the house, Quinn sighs and calms down; and slows the car. He was really stressed out about tonight.
"In the time we've been here I haven't seen him so stressed, about anything."
She's right. But now it's over, and we can both just relax.
"I have to get my own place." His voice startled me a bit. "I mean I know it hasn't been that long, but can't take it any longer." "It's not that bad is it?" He looked at me. "You've only seen a few hours; there worse than that; trust me. You have no idea." I nodded.
"Okay. Do you have enough money saved up yet?" Nodding. "I'm close." "Good then we'll start looking for something for you. Just as soon as we get back." He nodded, but didn't say anything; just took my hand. As soon as his skin came into contact with mine, I felt something, but I don't know what it means.
"It means, my dear that he likes you. He likes us, and you like him."
"No he can't. It's not safe, for any of us."
"I'm not sure you can stop it, my dear girl. You can try, but you won't be able to. You just have to see the look in his eyes, to know that he likes you."
I can't talk to her anymore, I have to figure this thing out. I have to tell him that there's no way we can work out. "Shayla? Are you alright?" Quinn's voice made me jump. Looking over at him. "Yeah, sorry I was just lost in thought." Looking around, we're back at the house, I have no idea how long we've been back here.
He looked at me like he's trying to read my mind, trying to figure out what's going on in there. "Are you sure you're alright?" I nodded. "Yeah. Let's just get inside." I said, getting out of the car.
After a second, Quinn followed grabbing his bag from the back. "What just happened Shayla?" He asked coming up to me. "It was nothing." "It wasn't nothing. You were gone, like out of your body gone." I didn't answer him until we got back up to my apartment.
Locking the door, I made sure the windows are locked as well. "Look yes something did happen to me; but it's something I can't tell you, at least not yet." I went into my room, hung up my jacket, and came out as Quinn pulled a bottle out of his bag. "We are going to have a drink, and you are going to tell me what was happening to you." He pointed to my couch.
"Have a seat, and I will grab us a couple glasses."
"Well he is very bossy at the moment isn't he?"
I didn't answer her until after Quinn left for the kitchen. I sat on the couch, and said. "We can't tell him about you."
"Just tell him. I know he can handle it, we can trust him, and like's you. He handled us being a dragon, and I know he can handle this. Just tell him about me."
But before I can answer her, Quinn walked up to me, bottle and two glasses in hand. Sitting next to me, he poured us each a glass, and said.
"Now; tell me what just happened to you in the car?" Sighing, I looked at him and said. "Quinn if I tell you, then there's no going back. You will be in constant danger. Do you understand that?" Taking my hand, he gave it a tight squeeze.
"Yes I understand. Just tell me."
"Just tell him Shayla."
Taking a deep breathe. "Okay. You know that I'm half dragon." He nodded. "Yes I do." I nodded. "But there's something that you don't know." I took a drink and almost choked on it. "What you don't know is; there's another part of me." He gave me a look. "What do you mean?" Sighing, I took another sip, and said.
