Here's another chapter. hope you enjoy it. as always thanks for reading.

A phone ringing, wakes me; forcing my eyes to open. Reaching for the phone, until my hand brushing it next to me on the bed.

"Hello?" "Shayla. Thank god." "What time is it?" "I have been trying to get a hold of you for a long time." "I was sleeping. What is it?" "I just wanted to make sure you were alright." "Well I'm fine. I feel a lot better. What time is it?" "Almost eight. I have to go. We're just finishing up at the shop. I will talk to you in a little while." "Okay. Bye." I hung up the phone and sat up in bed.

Lilith jumped on me, and started to purr, so I started to scratch her. "I'm okay girl. Come on, let's get up."

Setting her on the bed next to me; I tried to stand; I wavered for a second, but I recovered and started walking out to my living room. When Quinn was here he cleaned, my place wasn't a total mess, but now it's spotless.

Looking out the window, it's dark out; the moon shining bright through the windows.

Going into the kitchen, I got her some more food, and fresh water.

Grabbing some food, I know I have to eat, but I don't want to. I made myself some toast and tea, sitting at my table, I don't know what has been happening to me, but I do know that it has something to do with what Cormac has been doing to me. I have to do something about him, I just don't know what to do.

Finishing up, washed my dishes and went to change my clothing, I feel like I've been in the same clothes for a week. I also badly need a shower; stepping into my bathroom, and taking a look in the mirror; I look like a ghost. Turning on the hot water, I pulled off my clothes and threw them in the dirty laundry and got under the hot water.

"What am I doing?" I asked as I put some shampoo in my hair. "I don't know what you're so concerned about my dear. We will deal with Cormac. You do not have to worry about him. He will not harm us. You heard him, he needs us."

"There's no way we can ensure that he won't hurt us."

"Yes there is, he needs us. You know it, and I know it. He won't hurt us as long as he needs something from us. He will need us alive."

"I know he needs us live. But that doesn't mean he won't hurt us in some way. We have to deal with him one way or another." Turning off the water, I grabbed a towel and stepped out, and sure enough Lilith is sitting on the sink, staring at me, but the door is closed, so how did she get in here?

"What are you staring at? And how did you get in here?" She meowed and started to purr as I picked her up, holding her close as I walked out to my room, to grab some clothes.

I set her on the back of the couch, and opened my laptop, and started playing some music.

Looking at the clock, it's almost 10:00. I had no idea it was so late; in the evening.

I was just about to go into my room, and there's a knock at my door. Who on earth could that be? Wrapping my towel tighter around myself, I went over to my door, and looked through my peephole.

It's Mia standing there, opening it, I said. "Hi Mia. Come on in. It' nice to see you." "Hello dear. I just wanted to see if you were alright. Quinn told me you were doing better." She said stepping through the door, taking a look around. She has a few containers in her hands.

"I didn't know if you would have anything to eat, since haven't been feeling well. So I just thought I would bring something up for you." Taking them from her, I said.

"Thank you. It's very thoughtful of you. And I'm sorry; that I'm in a towel." "Oh that's alright dear. I should have called you, and asked if it was alright for me to come up." "Would you like something to eat or drink?" She shook her head. "No thank you dear. I actually need to be going. Just before I came up here, I got a call and a girl friend is coming over, she really needs to talk."

I nodded. "Of course. Thank you for the food; I really do appreciate it." She patted my cheek, smiling at me. "Your welcome dear. I will see you in the morning. Come down before you go to work, and have some breakfast with me." I nodded.

"That would be nice thank you." I walked her to the door, and made sure she's going down the stairs alright, before I closed the door, and locked it.

"Well that was interesting. If you're not going to eat that now, you should put it in the fridge before you do anything."

I nodded, and took it to the kitchen, everything smells amazing; opening the containers, she made a roast, mashed potatoes, carrots corn, and fresh baked rolls; and what looks like homemade apple pie as well.

"Well she is most certainly an ambitious woman for her age." "Yes she most certainly is. Have some of it now, then you can take the rest for your lunch tomorrow."

I nodded, and some on a plate, and heated it up, and went to my room and got something fresh to sleep in. Just being up as long as I have been I am already exhausted, and I don't know how much long I can be up for.

"Don't do anything that you can't handle. We can't pass out again."

"I know. I will grab my plate and settle on the couch, and watch one of the two movies we own. How does that sound my dear?"

"Just swimmingly. Get your food it's about to beep."

I was about to say something else to her, but the microwave beeped just like she said it would, rolling my eyes, I went and grabbed my food, and grabbed my sketch book; pencils and laptop, and settled in on the couch, with my delicious smelling food, and covering myself with a nice warm blanket I got from Jess one year, before I fall over, suddenly a little dizzy. I hate this!

I spent the next couple hours, curled up on the couch; picking at my food, but I'm not very hungry, and filled half of my book with pictures of different things. Scenes from around town; scenes from the olden days. Then without even noticing I did more of Quinn.

"Well it would appear that you have him on your mind, even when you don't realize it."

"I know, but why?"

"Well you like him, and maybe it's becoming more than that. You know it is a possibility. Do not deny it."

"It can't, you know it can't happen. It would be a disaster, nothing good could come of it. We can't like him, and he can't like us." She sighed, trying to get my hand to smack myself in the head, but I stopped her.

"Fine. But it will not change anything about the way he feels about you. I can see it in his eyes."

Rolling my eyes, I set my book aside and settled down on the couch not wanting to move.

"Sleep well my sweet."

Her voice started soothing me, forcing me to sleep.
