Here's a new chapter. hope you like it. thanks for reading.

I sort of know where he lives but I haven't seen it though. After a few turns, he pulled into a driveway. The house is huge, it must be the biggest hose in the whole town. We got out, and I just stared.

"I know. I don't overly like living here, and I'm trying to save up for the place of my own. Well let's go get this over with. The sooner we get out of here, the sooner we'll be able to leave to go to the city." He said, looking up at the house. "Will we be heading to New York?" He nodded.

"Yes. I thought it would be fun." I nodded, and he took my hand, leading me towards the door as it opened, and middle aged woman walked out, to greet us. Right now looking at her, I want to get back in the car and leave, but I can't and won't do that to Quinn, not now. "Well hello. It is so nice meet you. I'm Quinn's Aunt but you can call me Linda. You must be Shayla. Well come on in, dinner is almost ready." She led us inside; and I gave Quinn a look, and he just gave me a slight nod, saying 'Yep that's my aunt.' And my hand a tight squeeze. We walked in, and the house is amazing crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. A grand staircase leading up to the second floor.

The walls are painted red and white, with flower wallpaper trim. Hardwood floors and elegant rugs covering most of the floors.

She led us through the house, taking us to a den where a large fire is lit in the hearth. "Have a seat." She said, pouring us each a glass of lemonade. "Dinner will be ready shortly. Your Uncle should be getting home any moment." "I wanted to show Shayla around a little if that's alright before dinner." She nodded. "Of course. I have to check on dinner. Again welcome to our home Shayla, I am so happy that you could join us on such short notice."

"Thank you. It was very nice of you to invite me. You have a lovely home." "Thank you. It's our pleasure."

Grabbing my hand, Quinn led me back to the staircase, leading me upstairs.

He showed me each room; this house is amazing. Then stopped at a door that has a do not enter sign on it. Taking a step forward, I set a hand on the door, looking at him. "I'm guessing that this is your room." He nodded, and opened it, allowing me to go in first. His room is a lot darker than I thought it would be. Dark grey walls, there's not much in terms of artwork on the walls.

But there are a few drawings I'm guessing that he's done, and there's a dart board hanging on his closet door. His desk is covered in stuff. You can barely see it under everything. There's an open sketch book on his bed, making it stick out sitting on the black and red comforter. "Is that me?" On the one page it looks like me, and on the other is a large dragon wings spread out, and sitting on its back haunches, in front of a deep forest.

Quinn grabbed the book; shutting it, before I can have a closer look at it, securing it with the cord and stuck it in the drawer in his bedside table.

"That's nothing." Shrugging, I sat on his bed. It's softer than I expected it to be. "Whatever." There's a window seat, so you can look out over the backyard.

He also has a huge bookcase against the back wall; that is floor to ceiling and of full of books, and it has a stereo sitting on the middle shelf with a speaker sitting on either side of it with a stack of cd's. He sat next to me, his leg brushing against mine. "You really do look beautiful." He put a hand on mine.

"I hope I didn't upset you by getting you the outfit." Shaking my head.

"No. Not at all. It was nice, except for my friend Jess it's been a long time since someone bought me anything." He seems shocked by this. "Boyfriends never bought you anything?" Shaking my head. "Nope. I haven't had a boyfriend in a long time."

Thinking back to how long it has been since I actually don't think I have really ever had a boyfriend in my life. "You've never had one?" "Not ever. But it's been a long time. Listen about the other night." He started smiling, with remembering when he kissed me. "Did it make you uncomfortable?" Shaking my head, I gave him a smile. "No. Not at all. It was a little surprising, but I wasn't uncomfortable." Smiling, he moved closer to me. "Good. I don't know what it is. But since I first saw you at school, there was just something about you. But I have no idea that you would be here, when my parents died." "I'm sorry. But when I left, it was because of you. When I saw the ring; I knew what you were, and it scared me. So I ran, just like every time I came across a hunter, and something told me to come here."

"I'm sorry. I had no idea that this ring did that to you." He said taking off the ring, and stood going over to his dresser and set in a small box in his drawer, covering it with his clothes.

What is he doing? Turning back to me. "You don't have to worry. I never wanted the ring in the first place. My father made me wear it, and learn about all this stuff. I never wanted any of it. You have nothing to fear from me, and you never have to see that ring again." "You don't have to do that. I didn't tell you all that stuff to upset you. I just.... I just didn't want to lie to you anymore." He nodded, kneeling down in front of me. "Thank you for telling me. And I'm sorry for scaring you off like that. You said that something told you to come here, I think I know what it is." Eyeing him, I don't know what he going to do.

"Do tell." "Me. I think something is telling us that we both needed to be here."

Smiling; I leaned in and kissed him, since the other night, he kissed me, now I'm the one kissing him. At first he seems surprised by my actions, he quickly recovered; and began kissing me back.

I bit his lower lip; making him gasp, making me smile against his mouth, and resumed kissing me. He pulled back, but didn't go very far, his breath warming my face. "Well I most certainly not expecting that." He said. I laughed and was about to kiss him again, but someone knocked on the door, making Quinn jumped to his feet. "Yes?" "Dinner is almost ready."

"Alright, thank you. We will be right down." Whoever it is walked away, I can hear them moving down the stairs.

"Well that was a close one. Perhaps you should have locked the door behind you next time."

"Stuff it Elliana."

I told her, and she started laughing at me, as Quinn took my hand, giving me a hand up off the bed. "My Uncle should be just about here." He saw me cringe a little. "Don't worry. Yes I know he can be a little off. But he won't find out about you. I promise you, nothing will happen to you, not while I'm around." Smiling he kissed my cheek and led me back downstairs, to a night of torture.
