Our girl's night went well into the morning, by the time Tina passed out she had over two bottles of wine. I put her in my bed and slept a few hours on the couch, until something jumped on my head waking me, I jumped to the point that I fell off the couch, hitting the ground hard.

"Dam it cat! What the hell is wrong with you?" Sitting up sun is streaming in through the windows, hurting my eyes.

Setting her down I stood, my place is a complete and total mess, and for some reason Quinn is asleep on my living room floor, the other side of the couch.

What the hell happened last night? Creeping up to my bedroom door, and Tina is still asleep in my room, but I don't really remember anything. Did I drink that much last night? Quinn stirred making me wrap a blanket around my shoulders. "Quinn wake up." I said gently nudging him with my toe. He groaned and opened his eyes looking at me. "Morning Shayla. Wait Shayla?" Shock, he seems to be shocked that he's in my apartment right now.

Sitting up he rubbed his eyes, trying to figure out what's happening right now.

"Quinn why are you here, in my apartment?" Rubbing his eyes. "I was home, then I got a call, and I think it was from you, and came over, and you and Tina were passed out on the couch so I put her in bed, but you wouldn't move so I put you on the couch and I didn't want to leave, unless something happened, so I slept on the floor."

He put her to bed? I thought I had.

"Oh. Sorry for calling you. But thank you for taking care of us. But I thought it was me that put her in bed." "Nope it was me, you were already out like a light. So I guess it was a good night for the two of you." I nodded sitting back on the couch, and he joined me. "So what time did you get here?" "I don't know, but it was late. But I wasn't doing anything really, except for you know sleeping."

Running my fingers through my hair, the blanket fell from my shoulders. "I am really, really sorry for everything. Apparently I had more to drink then I thought I did." Shaking his head. "It's fine. You can stop now. But I do have to get going, I have to get changed before I go into the shop."

We got up and walked over to the door. Smiling he opened the door and made sure it's all clear.

"I will see you in a while." I nodded. "Yeah see you in a while. And thank you again, for coming to our rescue." He smiled. "Anytime." Closing the door behind him, I listened to him walking down the stairs, and I heard something stirring behind me. Tina is standing in my doorway, looking very confused.

"Shayla what happened? I don't remember much about last night." "Well we drank ate, and talked. But at some point we called Quinn and he came over and put us to bed. Actually he just left."

"Well I don't feel well and I have to get going; or I will be late for work, and I can, not afford to be late. But thank you for everything last night. I think for now I will stay in town, thank you for reassuring me that I should remain here. You are a great friend."

She said walking up to me, and gave me a tight hug. "Come to the diner for lunch, I'm sure we both could use the grease after last night." I nodded.

"You bet. I will see you then." I walked her out and started cleaning up before I have to get to work. Lilith sat on the table watching me the entire time, her glowing eyes never leaving me, and unblinking.

"You know I didn't think I had drank that much, but apparently I had. Next time stop me, and I am telling that to the both of you, not just the cat."

"What? You didn't seem to be in any trouble last night. In fact you were having a blast."

"Well you could have stopped me, it feels like my head is going to explode. I never want to feel like this ever again."

"Alright, you have to get going, or you will be late, and you don't want to be late do you?"

Looking at the clock, she's right. I jumped into the shower, and got dressed as fast as I can, and ate toast while I ran down the stairs.

Stepping outside it's late October and everyone is getting ready for Halloween it would seem. But I'm not really in that mood right now. This town gets weirder and weirder every day that I'm here; I don't really want to deal with all this right now. Walking into the shop thank goodness it looks like it should.

Quinn smiled at me. I look a lot better than I did when he saw me before. Walking back to the kitchen, He handed me a Coffey and hopped onto the counter next to where I'm working.

"So how was Tina when she woke up?" Looking at him "About as good as you would expect. But she managed to walk straight. But I never want to do that again. I hate drinking. But I did it for her, I know she really needed it." He started laughing as he hopped off the counter just as the timer on the ovens went off.

I gave him a hand, and we pulled out all the trays of cookies. There in the shapes of different shapes.

"Are these supposed to be for Halloween?" He nodded. "Why don't you like Halloween?"

Shrugging I set more trays in the oven, and reset the timers. "It's alright. I'm not big into all that." Smiling at me, he said. "Well you are going to have to be, if you're going to keep living here, because we do things big around here. So you're going to have to deal with a lot of this kind of stuff. So have a cookie, and get to work." He handed me one in the shape of a witch and I grabbed all my ingredients for making muffins

By the time I get the pans filled, the last of the cookies should be done.

As I got the last pans of muffins in, Lisa walked in, a huge smile on her face, she even smiled at me, as she walked past.

"Well someone is in a good mood. It's a nice change."

Rolling my eyes, I carried a tray out to the front, and Quinn quickly followed.

"What is wrong with her?" He whispered. "I have no idea, but I don't like it much. It's kind of creeping me out." "I know. I think I like her better as the grumpy, woman, not the happy woman."

I started cutting string when the door opened.

"Morning Quinn, Shayla." Mia walked in, with another elderly woman right beside her.

"Morning ladies, what can we get for you on this lovely morning?"

He can talk way too smooth for my liking, I don't believe it, and they just soaked it right up.

"We have a meeting about some events coming up, and we need snacks. So give us whatever you want." Mia said giving me a wink. "Yes mam." I said and Quinn and I got a couple boxes of stuff, and tied them up tight for them. Well I did, while they talked to Quinn, and he flirted with them.

Setting the boxes at the cash, I let him handle that part, since the cash and I don't particularly get along.

"Alright dears, you two have a nice day, and we will see you soon." "See you tonight Mia, and it was mice meeting you

Mrs. Brown." She nodded, and they walked out, leaving the two of us alone.

"What was that all about?" "Just part of the town council. There harmless, really. Come on let's get back to work."
