I'm back. Here's a new chapter.
"Shayla.... Shayla come on wake up." Opening my eyes slightly, the sun is just coming up, and we're close to the city.
But we're sitting on the side of the road. Sitting up in my seat, Quinn is sitting there staring at me, a small smile playing on his lips. "I thought you were never going to wake. Here." He said handing me a small bag that has things like a hair brush, and things in it.
He also handed me a bag with some food in it. "You need to eat, and get cleaned up."
Looking at him, he changed his shirt, put a brush through his hair.
"Did you stop at that road side motel?" He nodded. "Yeah I tried to wake you, but you were sleeping like the dead. So I got you some food. It's a little after seven, I called and got us a hotel room, but you can't go in looking like that. I also grabbed you a shirt from you bag. The windows should be dark enough that should be able to change and not be seen."
He said getting out of the car, standing with his back to the car.
I pulled off my shirt, my body still a little stiff after last night. Making sure my shirt is fine, I reached over, and tapped on his window, saying I'm decent. He climbed in the car, I started putting a brush through my hair.
"You look more like you now. We should be there in about fifteen minutes. So have something to eat, relax and I will have you there in no time." Opening the bag, with my food there's some fruit, a cold bagel and some cold sausages. I pulled out an apple as he pulled back onto the road. After a few minutes I said. "Quinn I just wanted to thank you." He looked at me. "For what?" "For this. Everything you've done for me since I met you. So thank you." "You're very welcome. But you don't have to thank me for any of it. I care about you, and I won't let you come to any harm because of me."
He flashed me a pearly white smile, and turned his attention back to the road.
"You know the more and more I talk to and see him, the more I like him. And don't give me that, you like him to, I can see it all over you."
Ignoring her, I took another bite of my apple, watching him out of the corner of my eye.
After about another fifteen minutes, of driving, we came into New York. The city sky scrapers towering over us, couples everywhere; and it's so loud, being in that small town for a while, you tend to forget how loud it can be.
Quinn pulled over in front of a hotel, and someone opened my door for me. "Thank you." I said getting out. Quinn grabbed our bags and came up beside me.
"Come on let's go check in."
I nodded, and followed him inside, looping my arm through his, showing we're together.
As we walked up the front desk, and had a good look around, there's seating everywhere. Tables with large bouquets of flowers, marble floors.
Quinn and I walked up to the front reception desk, just as another quest walked away. "Welcome how may I help you this morning?" "We're checking in." "Yes sir." The lady looked us up and down, they started talking, but I didn't listen. I'm too busy watching people milling about, getting on with their morning.
"I'm sorry for the miss hap sir. I do apologise, and I hope you both enjoy your stay with us."
I don't know what happened, but Quinn seems a little annoyed, by whatever it is.
All Quinn said is "Thank you" and led me towards the elevator, envelop in hand.
"What was all that about?" "It was nothing. Let's just get up to our room." I thought about saying something else, but thought better of it, and followed him up to our room.
Getting off on the seventh floor, and Quinn led me down the hall to a door at the end. Quinn unlocked the door, and ushered me inside, and locked the door behind us.
Looking around the room, a huge king sized bed; huge windows overlooking the city. Leather couch by the one wall, with a large TV mounted on the wall.
"This place is amazing. But how can you afford this place?" "Don't worry about that, just relax. I have someplace I need to be this morning. And while I am gone, I want you to stay here in the room. You can order room service, call Tina. Or even call that friend of yours that you left when you ran." I nodded.
"Yeah I guess I can. It's been so long, that it would be nice to talk to her again."
He nodded. "Good. I shouldn't be gone long." "Where are you going?" "It's nothing. I just have to take care of something." "Just be careful out there."
He grabbed a dress shirt from his bag and said.
"I will be careful." He pulled off his shirt, not bothering to turn around, giving me a full frontal view of him.
His chest is lean and well-muscled, and virtually hairless. His arms well-toned and he is utterly gorgeous. He has a small tattoo on his chest near his shoulder; angel wings, with a small red rose in the center, and he noticed me staring at it. "Do you like it?" I nodded. "Does it mean anything?" He nodded.
"I got them for my mother, and father, after they died." "I'm sorry." "Don't be. It's alright." He said pulling on his shirt, and came over to me.
"I will be back as soon as I can." Taking the key card, he said as he opened the door.
"Make sure you lock the door behind me." I nodded. "I will, don't worry." Taking one last look at me, he gave me a light kiss on the head, he left, and as soon as I closed the door, I locked it and went into the bathroom, to have a nice hot bath.
"Where do you think he's gone?"
"I don't know. It's not really our concern is it?"
"Well he brought you here, and told you to relax. I would wonder if I was you."
Rolling my eyes, and sighing; I looked around the bathroom.
There's a large walk in shower, also a large bathtub, which I started to fill with steaming hot water, and bubbles.
There's a two marble sink vanity; two oval mirrors sitting above the sinks. Pulling off my clothes, my muscles still hurt from last night.
Before stepping into the tub, I brought over a robe, setting it next to the tub; and stepped in, sinking down into the water.
Instantly the hot water, started relaxing my tense muscles. There's a small remote by the tub, I hit the one button, and music started to play. I'm not sure what it is, but it's nice and relaxing.
