Tobias POV

I'm finishing making pancakes and bacon when Tris runs into the kitchen.

"Tobias, there's a spider, can you kill it?" She says. I laugh.

"Sure babe," I say. I kiss her on the lips.

"Watch the pancakes," I say, heading into the bedroom. I turn on the light and see nothing.

"Where is it?" I yell to Tris.

"It's on the headboard of the bed!" She yells back. I walk over to the bed and notice a spider about the size of a quarter. I laugh and pick up my shoe, slamming it on the spider. I grab a tissue and wipe it off, then flush the tissue down the toilet.

"Now that wasn't so hard was it?" I say to Tris, walking into the kitchen.

"Yeah yeah you try waking up with that thing above your head," She says. She puts the bacon and pancakes onto plates. I grab the plates from her while she pours water into glasses. She sits down across from me.

"So, you have dress shopping today, right?" I ask.

"Yeah," She sighs.

"Why don't you like it?" 

"I like it, I just don't wanna be shoved into a hooker dress," She says. I chuckle.

"What?" She asks.

"I want you to be," I say. She smacks my arm.

"I'm kidding. You're gorgeous in anything, even Abnegation clothes," I say. She blushes.

"Thanks," She mutters. I grab her plate and place it in the dishwasher. I let Tris shower while I watch TV. Once I hear the shower turn off and Tris steps out of the bathroom, I shower. I let the water run among my back, dripping past my scars.

I turn off the shower and head into the bedroom. Tris is dressed and about to leave.

"I'm gonna go now, see you later babe," She says, kissing me.

"Later babe," I say. She leaves and locks the door. I get dressed and dry my hair with the towel. I decide I want to go to Zeke's. I head to his apartment and knock on the door.

"Hey brotha, what's up?" He says, letting me inside.

"Nothing much. The girls are shopping so I thought I'd come here," I say. I sit on the couch and Zeke sits across from me. We talk about random things and as usual, he cracks jokes. I wonder what Tris is doing...

Tris POV

"I just want the color purple," Shauna says. I nod and look through the racks of purple dresses. I find one that's appealing.

It's a plain dark purple one shoulder dress that reaches a little higher than mid-thigh and has rhinestones on the shoulder.

"Hey Shauna, like this one?" I ask Shauna, who is looking through white dresses.

"Yeah, try it on!" She says. I head to the dressing room and slip the dress on. I put on silver high heels and walk outside.

"Tris, I love it!" Christina squeals.

"It's perfect," Shauna says. I smile and go to take the dress off. I look at my phone and I got a text from Tobias saying he was at Zeke's if I need anything. I hold the dress I have and help Shauna look for hers.
