Sorry for the short chapter! I'm a little behind :(

Tobias POV

We got to the factionless safehouse and looked around. Children playing, people alking, it seems almost free.

I walked inside and people stared. I saw Jenna turn around and smile. She waved.

I acknowledged her over and she came.

"Hi Four," She says.

"Guys, this is my sister, Jenna," I say. They stare wide eyed at her.

"I'll explain later," I say.

"Jenna, where's Evelyn?" I say.

"Come," She says. She grabs my hand and leads just me through a maze of beds and people to a door. We step inside and travel through a dark room. Once we reach another door, she slips inside.

"Mom?" She says, pulling me behind her.

"Tobias is here," She says. As I step inside, Evelyn stands quickly.

"Evelyn," I say.

"Tobias, hello," She says.

"Hey Jenna, can you entertain my friends? My name's Four," I say. She nods and skips out of the room.

"I never thought I'd see you here again," She says.

"Me neither,"

"Well, how are you? I've missed-"

"Don't play all sorry, Evelyn. I still haven't forgiven you." I snap.

"Tobias, it was for the best."

"Leaving me to get beaten?!" I shout. She sighs.

"Tobias, I know you don't believe me, but i'm sorry. Jenna told me about your child, Elizabeth? And I heard about your marriage. I've sent you letters," She says.

"I've gotten them." I say.

"I had things to give you, gifts." She says, looking me in the eyes. I can see the pain in them.

"I don't want gifts. Tris and Ellie are missing. Have you seen them?" I ask.

"No, but two factionless are missing. They were initiates with Tris. One started with an M..."

"Myra?" I question.

"No, Myra's by Erudite. Mary-"

"Molly and Drew." I say. She nods.

"Hope that helps." She says.

"Thanks. Have an idea where they went?"

"No. Check the hancock building, the hub, and maybe ask Marcus?" She says.

"Why him?" I snap. She steps back.

"He could have kidnapped her." she says.

"Okay." I say. As I turn to leave, she grabs my wrist.

"Tobias," She starts. I turn around and cross my arms.

"Look, I wanted to give you this," She says, handing me an old abnegation story book.

"It was your favorite. A gift for Ellie." She says. I hold the book in my hands, remembering the feel of the teathered edges.

"And, for your wedding, I have this," She says, handing me a small box. I open it and find her wedding band.

"Tris won't wear it, but I felt you should have it. And these," She says, handing me a pair of keys.

"To something special." She says, smirking a little. These keys opened my treasure box I hid under my bed, holding the things my mother and I collected. I smile at the memories.

"Thanks." I say, returning to Four.

"I've missed you." She says. I say nothing.

"Tobias? Can you try to forgive me?" She says. I take a deep breath.

"I don't forgive you. I don't think I ever will. But I guess I can try." I say. She smiles and wraps her arms around me. I stiffen at first, then relax. I've somewhat missed her embrace.

"I love you," She says. I nod.

"Thanks for the help. Take good care of Jenna." I say. She nods as I leave, finding my way through the dark and back to the main room. The stares have subsided.

"Let's go. Evelyn said to check the hub, hancock building, and somewhere else. Hancock building first." I say.

"Bye Jenna," I say, hugging her.

"You'll find her Tobias, I know it." She whispers in my ear. I smile and wave goodbye, making my way to the Hancock building.

XXPAGE BREAKXX

Nothing. No signs, no clues, nothing. The last thing I want to do is go to Marcus's house, but we have the hub first.

It took only ten minutes to realize there's nothing there either. Well, I guess my last hope is Abnegation.
