Tris POV
"Ow!" I heard Ellie cry from the living room. I rushed inside and saw her sitting on the ground clutching her knee.
"Ellie," I said. I moved over to her and lifted her up. Her cheeks were tear streaked already and her lip wobbled.
"Ouchie mommy," She said. I held her close as I brushed loose brown wisps of hair from her wet face.
"Everything okay?" Tobias asked, walking into the living room.
"Ouchie daddy," Ellie said. Tobias stuck out his lower lip in a sincere pout and lifted Ellie off my lap.
"Come on baby," He says, kissing her forehead. "Stiffen up little soldier. No pain no gain."
Ellie giggled as Tobias set her down. She showed off her black leggings and a black sweater with small combat boots and her wavy long brown hair loose on her shoulders. She pushed her shoulders back, lifted her chin high, and clenched her fists.
She couldn't be any more dauntless.
