Chapter 67

I'M SO SORRY! I've been so busy and have not had that much time to do much! So sorry mi amigos...

Tris POV

Tobias and I have been trying to get Ellie to walk. She can stand with our help, but can't quite get walking down pat.

I somewhat gave up.It's hard, and I know I shouldn't push it. I sat on the couch and watched Ellie crawl around. Tobias plops down next to me and kisses my head.

"It'll happen." He says. I nod. We watch a movie while Ellie entertains herself. She swings her toys around, enjoying everything.

I return back to the movie, but snap out of it when I realize that Ellie is trying to get up.

"Look," I nudge Tobias, pointing to Ellie. I slowly get up and creep behind her. She pushes on her hands and knees, trying to at least squat. Once she gets there, i'm biting my lip.

She pushes on her hands, extending her legs and stands up. I rush in front of her and crouch down a few feet in front of her.

"Come here Ellie!" I chant. She reaches her arms towards me as she steps forward, then again, then once more before she falls into my arms. Tobias took pictures, thank god, but I celebrate this moment.

"You did it!" I say, lifting her and spinning her around. Ellie laughs and smiles as Tobias and I cheer for her.

"h my gosh Tobias she did it," I say, looking into his eyes. He smiles as he pulls us into a hug.

"I'm so happy." He says. I can't stop smiling. I've been waiting a while for this to happen.

"I think Ellie deserves a cupcake," Tobias says, tickling Ellie. She claps her hands and shouts "Cupcake!" I carry her over to the kitchen and sit her on my lap. Tobias gets a cupcake from the counter and sits in front of us. He hands it to Ellie and she bites into it.

"That's cute," I say. Ellie has chocolate icing smeared all over her face and on her nose. She happily enjoys her cupcake as I try to catch my breath.

"Tris, you okay?" Tobias asks. I nod.

"More than happy." I say. Tobias smiles and takes my hand.

"This one's gonna need a bath after," He says. I chuckle slightly.

"Of course." I say. Ellie finishes her cupcake, leaving crumbs all over the table and on her face. Some icing even made way to her hair and forehead. 

"Let's go wash up," I say, setting Ellie down on the ground. She sits up and I grab her hands, pulling her up to her feet. She stands, and with my help, walks to the bathroom.

I run the bathtub and bring Ellie into her room. I set her on the changing table and remove her clothes and diaper. I carry the tiny naked Ellie straight to the bathroom and set ehr in the bathtub.

She plays with the water and her duck, making small splashes. I grab shampoo and body wash and a washcloth to use. Ellie splashes wateron me, wetting my shirt. I roll my eyes as I remove it.

"You're sometimes a pain," I tease. She just smiles. Here I am in my black bra and jeans cleaning my daughter. Okay...

I wash her hair and her body, removing all traces of icing and cake. I start to rinse the soap off Ellie when she shouts "Daddy!"

I turn and look at Tobias, who is staring at my clevage, smiling. My face gets red as I turn back and rinse Ellie.

"Creep," I say. Tobias chuckles as he kneels down behind me and slides his arms around my waist and kisses my neck.

"You're so beautiful," He whispers in my ear. I smile as chills run through my body. I rinse Ellie fast and kiss Tobias on his cheek.

"All done," I say. Tobias drains the water as I lift Ellie from the tub and wrap her small frame into a towel. I dry her hair, face, and body and bring her to her room.

I set her down on the changing table and put on a fresh diaper. I then put Ellie in a soft pink onesie and black pants. Her damp dark blonde hair isn't long, but there's a small patch on her head.

Ellie's small hands reach up to me.

"Uppie," She says. I lift her into my arms and hold her hand between my thumb and index finger. I clipped her nails yesterday, after she accidentally clawed me. She makes small noises as she stares at me blankly.

I bring Ellie into my room and lie her down on the bed. I lie on my side next to her and just watch her. The way she plays with her hands, the way she plays with my hair. It's adorable.

Tobias walks in and throws me a shirt, which I put on and remove my jeans. Tobias lifts up Ellie and carries her to me.

"Goodnight kiss," He says. I kiss Ellie softly on her forehead and whisper goodnight as her eyes struggle to stay open. Tobias sets her down in her room and joins me in bed, sliding behind me.

He places a warm hand on my waist from behind, and slowly moves his thumb back and forth.

We say nothing. We just enjoy eachother's presence. His hand moves up my shirt slowly by a few inches, then he moves his arms around me more, making his hand in the middle of my stomach. He pulls me close to him, so my back is touching his chest.

I flip around, his arm on my back, and look him in the eyes. Those dark blue eyes never change. I kiss him slowly on the lips, soft and sweet. I wish every night felt like this.

After a while, Tobias pulls away and I rest my head in his chest. He whispers goodnight, and I whisper the same.

LOL I DID IT AGAIN. I end almost all my chapters with sleep. Eh, well, whateva. More chapters coming soon! I have ideas, but not a lot of time. Poop.
