Chapter 62

OMG I HAVENT WRITTEN IN A WHILE. I stink at scheduling. Okay so I am , yes, struggling with this book! I don't know why but I will be on delay for posting, maybe two to three chapters a week. I want to make the chapters as good as possible, and i'd rather take more time to do that. Thanks for understanding!

Tris POV

I'm woken with Ellie in front of my face, smiling.

"Happy birthday," Tobias says. I smile as I sit up and take Ellie in my arms.

"Thank you," I say. Tobias hands me a wrapped gift.

"From Ellie," He says. I open it, revealing a picture frame. 'Mommy' is written in the top and there's a picture of Ellie and I, the day I took her home from the hospital.

"Thank you Tobias," I say as he kisses me.

"I'll give you my present later," He says, smirking. I chuckle.

"How?"

"Christina offered to take Ellie for the night," He says. I smile.

"Yay!" I say. He laughs.

"Come on, I made pancakes," Tobias says. I get out of bed, taking Ellie to the kitchen. Tobias made chocolate chip pancakes.

"Yum," I say. I set Ellie in her high chair and grab her applesauce. There is none.

"Do you think she'll eat a fruit cup?" I ask.

"Sure, I'll feed her," Tobias says. I grab a fruit cup and a small plastic spork and hand it to Tobias. He feeds it to her successfully as I eat my pancakes.

"Good," I say. "I didn't wanna have to get applesauce again," I say. Tobias smiles, a small crooked smile. It's hot though. ;)

"Maybe we can try to give her cereal soon," He says. I nod, popping a piece of pancake in my mouth.

After the wonderful birthday breakfast, Tobias, Ellie and I went into the living room for my gifts.

"You honestly didn't have to g-" Tobias places a finger on my lips.

"No words, you need a birthday present," Tobias says. I sit on the couch and Tobias sits next to me, bouncing Ellie on his knee.

"One from me," He says. I open a small box, revealing a small silver necklace inside. There's a small hanging daunless flame symbol and an E on a circle.

"Tobias, this is beautiful," I say. He smiles.

"Only the best for you," He says. I smile as I put it on.

"Pabt," Ellie says. I chuckle as I poke her nose, making her giggle.

"I should get a 4 for you," I say.

"Sure," Tobias says. I smile as I kiss his cheek.

"Thank you," I say. I sit back on the couch and lean into Tobias's arm. This is one of my best birthdays yet.

XXPAGE BREAKXX

So the time has come to send Ellie to Christina's, and I'm nervous. Although we're staying home, Tobias insisted I wear something special, so i put on a loose purple chiffon dress and purple wedges. I wear my new necklace and my hair loose in waves on my shoulders.

I'm sitting with Ellie, bouncing her on my knee, waiting for Tobias to take her to Christina's. I put her in her pajamas already, it's around her bedtime.

Tobias walks out wearing a black dress shirt and a dark purple tie. He looks very sexy.

"You look good," He says,

"Same to you," I say. His expression shifts, looking concerned.

"What's wrong?" He asks. I shake my head.

"Nervous. What if something goes wrong?" I say. Tobias grabs my free hand and sits down next to me.

"She'll be fine." He says, kissing my hand delicately. He grabs the bag we packed and I stand with Ellie as we head to Christina's.

"Hey happy couple," Christina says, opening the door.

"Hey Chris, thanks again for doing this," I say, as Tobias hands Christina the bag, who hands it to Will.

"No problem. Gorgeous dress. Ellie will be fine," She says as I hand her Ellie.

Ellie squirms a little, tears squirt from her eyes slowly.

"She'll be fine." Tobias says, kissing my head.

"Okay," I say. I kiss Ellie's head and brush her tears.

"Be good for auntie," I say. 

"Aww, I like auntie." Christina says.

"Bye," Tobias and I say as we leave. I look back at the door and see Ellie smiling as Christina pinches her cheeks. I know she'll be fine.

" That pasta was great," I say as Tobias places a plate of dauntless cake in front of me.

"Happy birthday," He says. Tobias feeds me a piece of cake and I do the same. I end up landing a dot on his nose.

"Here," I say. I wipe it off with my finger and end up kissing Tobias. He lifts me up as we head to our bedroom...
