Hopefully this chapter makes you all feel better :)
Tris POV
I wake up and go into the bathroom. My eyes are swollen and puffy. I grab a cup of coffee and put creamer and sugar into it. I decide to take a walk. I leave a note for Tobias and head out the door in sweats, a jacket, and flip flops.
I walk around the pit a little, and outside. The cool air feels nice on my face and wakes me up. I feel like for the past few hours I have been encased in darkness with nothing but a sad story.
I shake everything off my mind. I walk, letting the grass tickle my toes and the sun burn my pale skin. I sip my coffee letting it warm my throat. I go back inside and towards the chasm. I stand by the railing and think.
Maybe it was a sign. I'm too young to start a family. A tear slips down my face and joins the water in the chasm.
"Tris!" I hear someone yell. I really don't want people to see me like this.
"Tris," Uriah says getting closer. I stay the way I am.
"Tris?" He asks once he gets to my side."What's wrong?"
"I h-had a misc-carriage." I say beginning to cry. He wraps his arms around me and I cry into his shoulder.
"Look Tris, I really don't know what to say. I'm here for you if you need anything." He says.
"Thanks so much. I kinda just wanna be alone right now." I say.
"Okay. Let me know if you need something." He says.
"Thank you." I say. I turn back to the chasm and listen to the waves. The sound is so soothing, and almost distracting. I eventually run out of coffee and head to the cafeteria. I grab a fresh cup and turn around. Christina stands there with tears in her eyes.
"Tris, come here." She says and pulls me into a hug. I sob into her shoulder and I'm sure she cries slightly too.
"Uri told me. I'm here for you honey." She says.
We stand there for a while until I break away. She smiles at me and I try to smile through the pain.
"I'm gonna take a walk." I say.
"Okay. My door is always open if you need to talk." She says.
"Thank you." I say and head back to my spot by the chasm. Seems like someone already took it. Tobias did.
I walk up next to him and lean my head on his shoulder. He wraps his arm around me and we stay like that. For a long long time.
XXPAGE BREAKXX
We've been greiving for days, watching movies, tv, eating, and crying. Tobias and I called off work until next week, and hopefully we'll be mentally stable then.
I'm currently in Tobias's sweats, an old shirt of his, and my hair is is a messy bun. He wears sweatpants, and a loose black shirt, similiar to the one i'm wearing. I hear a knock on my door.
I go to open it and Zeke and Shauna stand there. They have a whole dauntless cake and a sympathetic smile on their faces. I smile back, though it's not real.
"Hey Tris, How's everything been?" Shauna asks.
"Alright I guess." I say. Tobias walks up behind me and I open the door wider. "Come in," I say. Shauna walks in with the cake and Zeke and Tobias hug eachother. Shauna sets the cake on the table and comes to hug me. I let her and only tear a little. I don't think I have much tears left in me.
