Chapter 46

This is short! It was the second half of chapter 45 but there were problems so... here! Hope you all like the name :)

Tris POV

"Wanna keep with the T's? Taylor?" Tobias asks.

"Taylor... I like Taylor, but I don't like Tay." I say. We think for a moment.

"What about Elizabeth? You said you like long names." Tobias says.

"True. Elizabeth... Liz..." I say. We spend a couple of seconds on Elizabeth.

"Ellie," I blurt out.

"Hmm?"

"Well, this will sound TOTALLY Erudite, but 6+4=10, plus one, is eleven. Ellie. Short for Elizabeth,"

"Aww, Trissy loves math." Tobias says.

"I like Elizabeth. She looks like an Elizabeth." I say.

"I like it. Elizabeth Rose Eaton. Perfect," He says.

"Hi Ellie," I say. She giggles a little.

"You don't mind Liz, or Ellie?" Tobias asks.

"Not at all, do you?" I reply. He shakes his head.

"It's settled. Welcome to the world Elizabeth," I say. She closes her eyes.

"Good evening happy parents, we need to take her to the nursery. Did you choose a name?" Kathy asks as she walks in.

"Yeah, Elizabeth," Tobias says.

"That's a beautiful name." She says.

"Thanks," I say just as she takes Ellie from Tobias's arms. She leaves, and another nurse walks in.

"You can fill out the birth certificate in the morning before you leave. You can get dinner if you'd like, but you can't leave the compound." she says.

"I don't feel like eating, but we can walk around a little. I need the exercise." I say. Tobias chuckles.

"Here's some pants. Throw these on under the gown and keep in the IV," She says. "This moves around with you," She says, placing the IV bag on a long pole with wheels. I slip on flip flops and stand up. I stumble and Tobias catches me.

"Slow down," He says. I laugh and grab onto him. We walk out of the room and down to the nursery area. There's tons of sleeping babies, some in blue blankets and some in pink blankets. I find NAME, sleeping soundly(even though there's about seven babies crying) with a small bracelet around her wrist. Tobias hugs me.

"We did good," He says. I laugh and grab his hand. We walk to the cafeteria, even though I look crappy. We head to our table and I sit down.

"What the hell Tris?" Uriah says. I look at him funny.

"What?" I ask.

"You're just gonna leave your kid there?" He says.

"She's sleeping in the nursery, thanks for the criticism." I say.

"Oh," Zeke slaps his arm.

"Name?" Christina asks, feeding Dani a hamburger.

"Ellie, short for Elizabeth." I say. She smiles.

"I was hoping you chose that one." She says. I roll my eyes.

"And, it's short for eleven." I say.

"Huh?" Marlene asks, her mouth stuffed with a muffin.

"Eleven, ten plus one," I say, smiling at the ground, probably blushing.

"Damn it, that's cool," Zeke says. Tobias walks back with a muffin.

"For later," He says. I nod and grab his arm.

"We're gonna walk for a little. See you guys soon," I say, as I get waved off as Tobias and I leave the cafeteria. We walk around the pit and head back to the hospital.

"Toby, I'm tired," I say, flopping on the bed.

"Alright, why don't you go to sleep?" He says. I nod and slip under the covers. Tobias shuts the lights and slides in next to me. We face eachother.

"I'm proud of you," Tobias says.

"Why?"

"Because you did it. And it didn't look so easy," He says. I chuckle.

"It wasn't easy."

"You're truly dauntless, you know that?"

"I guess," I chuckle. I close my eyes and sleep, dreaming about my new family.

AHH THE NAME! Now I do like long names... I have future kid names... And I thought that Ellie had a tie with the movie, Ellie goulding sang songs for the soundtrack... I'm so Erudite. And then I am laying in my bed and i'm like ELEVEN! So, I thought Elizabeth is cute. And it is an abnegation name, so I thought of an abnegation name with a daunting nickname.
