Tobias POV

I wake up with a smile on my face. I look over and Tris is sound asleep next to me, her hair all messed up covering her face and she's slightly drooling on my pillow. I gently brush a lock of hair out of her face and she smiles slightly. I get up and grab a shower, letting the warm water fall down my body. I get out and decide to shave. I wrap the towel around my waist and grab shaving cream. I put the cream on my face and grab my razor. I go from bottom up, making sure to get everywhere. With half my face shaved, Tris's small narrow arms wrap around my waist and she presses her face to my back.

"Morning," She mumbles against my back.

"Morning babe, how'd you sleep?" I ask.

"Great," She replies.

"I hope, you were drooling," I say, laughing a little. She immedietly looks at me.

"I did?"

"Yeah, it was kinda cute," I reply. She blushes and mumbles 'sorry'.

"You have nothing to be sorry for babe," I say. Tris hops in the shower while I shave. I think she forgets I'm in here and starts singing. I smile and laugh a little. I accidentally knock something over and she sticks her head out from behind the curtain, her hair full of shampoo and bubbles.

"You're still in here?" She asks, blushing.

"Yep. And I would like to hear an encore of that song," I say. She gets even redder.

"Come on Tris, you have an amazing voice," I say. She hides behind the curtain and sighs. I laugh and open the door.

"You can sing now, I'm gone," I say before leaving. I shut the door and make my way to my dresser. I hear muffled singing and laugh. I grab a pair of black jeans and a black shirt. Tris and I have to attend a meeting with the other faction leaders. I'm nervous because I don't want to see Marcus at all. The shower turns off and Tris walks in the room with only a towel on.

"Remember, we have that meeting in an hour in abnegation. We have to eat breakfast on the go," I say. She nods as she looks through clothes.

10 minutes later, she settled on black skinny jeans, a loose black top, and combat boots. she has her wet hair in a ponytail and has little make up on. I smile and grab her hand.

"You okay? With Marcus and all..." She asks.

"I'm alright I guess." I reply. I grab 2 guns and hand one to Tris.

"Why guns?" She asks.

"Babe, we're faction leaders, we need guns." I say. She grabs one and slips it in the waist of her jeans. We head out the door together eating out muffins and head towards the train tracks. We wait in the beautiful May weather. Sun shining, slight breeze. It's not usual that Dauntless get outside. The bright sun bounces off mine and Tris's pale skin, me being a little darker than her, The train starts coming down the tracks. Once the train gets closer, Tris and I run.

Once we're on the train, Tris sits by the edge of the car and her feet dangle out of it. I sit next to her and pull her closer, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. She throws an arm around my waist and she leans her head on my shoulder. We look out the car at the city. Some of it is a dump, crumpled buildings, cracked roads. But some of the city is nice. The sunlight bounces off the glass buildings to create a shine that is extraordinary.

After a while, I see the Abnegation sector in the distance.

"Tris," I rub her arm, "We have to jump," I say. she gets up and hugs me. I look out the car. Once we pull away, we jump off the train. I land on my feet but Tris skidded on her knees. She's sitting on the ground rubbing them.

"You okay" I ask.

"Yeah, just a little burn probably." She says. I grab her hand and we walk to the abnegation meeting house. I look around at the houses around us. All of the houses are grey and dull. I shudder, remembering that I would go home every night knowing I would get beaten.

"I might want to say hi to my parents later," Tris says.

"Okay, that's fine with me." I say. We walk through the doors leading to the meeting house. I stiffen at the sight of Marcus and Tris rubs my knuckes.

"Welcome Dauntless leaders," Marcus says, his cold voice loud and demanding. "Is that you, To-"

"My name is Four, and this is Tris," I say quickly. Marcus looks shocked at my remark. Tris and I sit down in two empty chairs.

"Where are those Amity?" Jeanine Matthews, Erudite representative says. Just then, two bubbly amity walk inside.

"Sorry we're late, we were out picking apples too long," The amity girl says. She has long brown hair and is wearing a red tank top. The man with her is wearing a yellow t-shirt and has bright blonde hair. They make me a little nauseaus.

"Okay, let's start. I am Jack Kang, Candor representative," Jack says.

"I'm Jenna, Candor rep." A small woman with black hair says. Marcus gestures to the Amity people.

"Oh! I'm Ella and this is Joey," The girl says, brightly.

"I'm Four, Dauntless leader." I say. I squeeze Tris's hand.

"I'm Tris, Dauntless leader." She says. Jeanine is next.

"I am Jeanine Matthews, Leader of Erudite," She says, sitting up straight and poised, like she owns everyone here.

"I'm Jeffrey, Erudite Rep," The small guy next to her says, pushing his glasses up his nose.

"I'm Marcus, Abnegation representative," Marcus says.

"I'm Jane, Abnegation Representative," The Abnegation woman says. She is small and pale and has dull brown hair.

"Let's begin. Shall we share our progress since the last meeting?" Marcus says. Everyone nods. Tris and I smile because we get to train initiates again.

"We're working new medication for pain," Jeanine says smiling.

"We've started a new farming process where we rotate crop fields so they don't lose nutrients too fast." The amity guys says. The amity girl Ella smiles.

"We've been working on more security by the gates." Tris shares.

"Candor has been training new people in a new way to test criminals." Jack shares.

"Abnegation has been collecting mroe food and clothing for the factionless," Jane says. Everybody nods.

"Are there any concerns about anything?" Marcus asks. We shake our heads.

"Well, that meeting was fast." Marcus says. We all get up and I head fast to the door. I open the door and pull Tris with me.

"Why so eager babe?" She asks.

"I didn't want to be near him any longer," I say. Tris grabs my hand and kisses it.

"Let's go?" She asks. I nod and we walk down the road towards Tris's old house. I wonder, if Tris and I have chosen abnegation instead of dauntless, if we would be doing the same thing, in gray clothes instead of black ones. I guess we'll never know.
