Demi walked out of the rehearsal studio, she saw her younger sister, peering into a room "Madz, what are you doing?!" she whispered, Maddie turned to her "Lawson are in there! They sound so awesome" she said starstruck "You still don't watch them from outside their rehearsals, makes you look creepy " she laughed "can you say hi" Maddie asked "I don't know them" Demi laughed "pleaseee" she said "I can introduce myself but if I come across as an asshole it's on you dude" she said "okay. Thankyouu demz" she smiled. Demi knocked on the door, a middle aged man with jet black hair opened the door "Hi, I'm really sorry but my sister is a massive fan and would love to meet the band" she said "Well I'm afraid that won't be possible" he said smiling fakely, "Nano, who is it?" they heard from behind him, a head popped over his shoulder "Eeepppp" Maddie said "Hi how are you" Nathan smiled "I love you" she beamed "Aw thankyou, do you want to come in?" Nathan asked. Nano whispered to him "we don't have time" he said "course we do" Nathan smiled and welcomed them in. "Boys we have company" Nathan said putting his arm around Maddie, who was freaking out.
Demi smiled as her sister fawned over her new favorite band, she remembered being her age and knowing how important it was to meet her idols and to know they were good people. She looked over, at the bands possible manager who seemed to be sulking. "Sorry about him" a voice said to her from the other side, she turned her head to see the brown haired boy who came to the door. "It's fine, I get it" she said "I just feel like I should apologize, he was rude and it was uncalled for" Nathan said "Don't worry about it, I really appreciate you taking the time out to meet fans" he smiled. "I'm Nathan by the way" he said "Demi" she smiled "It's nice to meet you" he said "You too" she said. Nano walked over "excuse me, Nath can I talk to you?!" he said. "Sure" he said "excuse me Demi" Nathan smiled.
They walked over to the corner, but Demi was still in earshot "what's up" Nathan said "I was handling that situation" Nano said "what? By being rude to the fans, that's not how Lawson roll and you know that" he said "we have till the end of the week, to sort out a set list and decide on your next single, it's Wednesday. The label wants to confirm everything by Saturday" Nano said "We have what, four days. Nano take a fucking chill pill lad" Nathan said "I'm not, I'm your tour manager, and you don't respect me" he said "I will start to respect you when you respect us, and our morals. That includes respecting the fans" Nathan said "I'm not saying you can't say hi to fans, but I only want you to do it when appropriate, today was not the right time" Nano said. "It never is with you, what the meet and greet is 100 dollars? What if the girl outside couldn't afford that, cause I know a lot of our fans can't, but guess what the label want to keep filling their pockets. For the last few events you haven't allowed us to go to meet the fans outside cause we didn't have time! And I've accepted that cause we have been busy but I'm done, you obviously don't realise how important the fans are too Lawson and if that's the case I don't want you on the team anymore" he said, he then walked over to Maddie and the boys"Hey I'm just nipping outside, it was really nice to meet you" he smiled as they hugged "Thank you, for meeting me" she said "It's no problem love" Nathan said.
Demi watched him, walk out she really admired the way he stood up to his manager and she really admired the way he spoke about the fans. They're weren't many artists like him around anymore. She decided to follow him to make sure he was okay, she saw him smoking a cigarette outside the building. She opened the door "You okay?" she asked "Hey, yeah sorry. Just the management piss me off sometimes, can't live with them can't live without them kinda thing" he said taking a drag "Would you like one" he asked "no I'm good thanks" she said, smiling. He sat down on one of the steps "You can sit with me if you'd like" he smiled crookedly. Demi's heart fluttered a little, as she walked over and sat beside him. "I gotta tell you, I really admire you for standing up to you manager, not a lot of artists do that anymore" she said "I just think it's shit that, just cause when we had amazing fan interaction we didn't have a label or management and now we do we've lost some of that connection. I don't want the label thinking they can tell us what to do with our fans or our music, call me awkward or difficult to work with but I know my band and I know my boys" he said. Demi nodded, she smiled "what?" he asked "I love how passionate you are about your music and your fans" she said "Thankyou.....this may be odd as we've just met and I may come off creepy but the boys and I are having a barbecue tonight, would you like to join us, you can bring a friend if you don't feel comfortable i'd just like to get to know you" he said. "Yeah, i'd like that" she smiled "Okay, great, uh give me your phone so I can put my address in" he said, she gave him her iphone and he put his address in, in her notes. He then stubbed out his cigarette "I better get back in, or Nano is gonna have a bitch fest" he said, he got up and helped Demi up, she took his hand as she got pulled up.
They walked back into the room "You alright mate" Max asked. Nathan walked over with Demi to the group "Yeah, mate just needed a cig" he said, stuffing his hands in his pocket. Maddie walked over to Demi "You are the best sister ever! They invited me to their gig next week" she said and hugged her. "I hope that's alright Demi, she was talking about how much she loved the album" Tom said "Yeah of course it is, I mean you gotta ask mom but i'm sure she'll be cool with it" Demi smiled "You should come too.....I mean to look after Maddie" Nathan said to Demi "I'll think about it" she smiled, his face then lit up.

The doorbell rang, Nathan rushed over to answer the door. He opened it, Demi was stood there in a long white tshirt and a belt. "Hi" she smiled "hey, how's it going ?" he smiled and let her in the house. "I'm good, thanks" she said, before giving Nathan a hug, which he happily returned "you look nice" he smiled "thanks, I didn't know what to wear, I didn't want to come across as to causal" she said. "No, you look great" he said blushing. She beamed "uh everyone is in the back garden" he said " awesome" she smiled and followed him to the garden. "You've met the lads already, and this is Kelsey, Nareesha and Carrie" he said introducing her to the girlfriends of the boys. "Would you like a drink?" he asked "yeah I'll just have a water thanks" she smiled "okay I'll go and get that now" he said and ran in to get her some water.
Nathan walked out and saw Demi conversation with his friends, he smiled and walked over to her, he sat next to her and handed her the drink. "Thanks Nath" she smiled politely and carried on speaking to the others.

Nathan was inside getting more snacks, when he saw Demi walk in. "Hey" he said "hey you okay?" she asked "yeah just getting more snacks" he said, she smiled and walked over to him. "Let me help you" she smiled "no it's fine, go and enjoy the BBQ" he smiled and kissed her on the cheek, she blushed "sorry, I uh just" he said becoming flustered. Demi then turned to him and kissed him lightly on the lips, Nathan returned the kiss. She then pulled away "sorry, I just wanted to do that" she said flustered "no don't apologise. I liked it" he smiled and leaned in again, this time kissing her, he placed his arms around her waist and her arms went around his neck.
Max then walked in with tom, "woahh make out city over here" he joked. Nathan and Demi then pulled away from each other laughing nervously "no no carry on we were just going to get more beers, don't let us ruin your fun" Tom said winking at the pair as the boys walked to pantry. "Now that we kissed, I should proabably take you on a real date" Nathan smiled "maybe" she said, he placed some of her hair behind her ear "you free at the weekend?" he asked "I could be" she smiled, he wrapped his lean arms around her waist "shall we say Saturday around 7pm?" He asked "I think we shall" she smiled before kissing him again.
