It's You (Brooke and Nathan One shot)

Authors Note: So I'd thought i'd do something different and do a story between Nathan and Brooke Vincent, who's an actress on Coronation Street

Nathan walked into a bar in London, with his manager Rachel. He had been finishing his first album as a solo artist. From the corner of his eye, he saw a brown eyed girl he recognised. It was Brooke, he hadn't seen her in three years. She still looked stunning he thought to himself, he turned away to make himself not look weird for staring at her. They had lost contact ever since Michelle and his ex bandmate Max had broken up. 

Brooke was giggling at a joke, one of the girls had made. She was having a catch up with Michelle and some of the other girls who worked on coronation street. From the corner of her eye, she noticed someone looking at her it was Nathan, he turned his head away quickly . He looked alot more defined and grown up than the seventeen year old boy, she once knew. She had seen his pictures in the magazines but she thought he had always looked more handsome in real life. He looked at her again and gave her a quick smile. She smiled back and waved a little at him.She downed the last of her pepsi and vodka "I'm gonna get another drink" she said to her friends "Okaay" Michelle smiled cheekily after seeing Nathan, knowing Brooke just wanted to talk to him.

Nathan saw Brooke walking over to her. Rachel realised what was going on "I'll just call Ashley about finalising the album" she smiled "Okay" Nathan smiled politley. She walked away and rang his label manager. He had known Rachel for three years and she could read him like a book, she was like a second mother to him. Thats why it was so important for him, for her to be his manager. He wanted to keep the people who would keep him grounded. Even though he knew Scooter could get him places, Scooter liked to keep people happy and didnt say if he was being arrogant or his ego was getting a little big whereas Rachel did. Besides he wanted to start his career in the U.K. It was where he was from and he was less likely to see his ex Ariana Grande if he wasnt signed to Scooter. He still got on with her and they were friends, well as much as you can be friends once you've dated but it was still awkward.

He was brought out of his thoughts when he heard "Hey" he looked over and saw Brooke. "Hii" he smiled and opened his arms. She embraced him, he wrapped his arms round her. "How are you" she asked "I'm great. How are you" he asked "Awesome yeah, what are you doing here" she asked "Haha I could ask you the same question, but i'm just finalising the album, what bout you" he asked "The NTA's were last night, so we're just treating ourselves to a few nights in London before we head back" she said. Nathan nodded "Oh thats cool" he smiled. "So hows the solo album going" he asked "Great yeah just finalising it now. I'm looking forward to it, i've really been allowed to do my own thing and write my own songs and just be able to do what I want with my music. I'm sorry i'm being rude, can I get you a drink ?" he asked "No its fine, I was coming to get one anyways" she said "No it's fine. I want to buy you a drink if thats okay" he asked "Haha sounds good" she said "Uh maybe dinner tonight, if you want. If you're single" he asked smiling hopefully. Brooke blushed "Yes I am single and i'd like that" she smiled. Nathan smile grew "Great, i'll pick you up around seven. Could I have your number, ya know so I can text you to let you know i'm outside" he said. Brooke nodded and got her phone from her clutch bag. Nathan got his iphone out of his pocket. They swapped numbers, Nathan then bought Brooke a drink "Chelles over there if you wanna come and say hi" Brooke smiled "Yeahh I havent seen her in ages" he smiled. He followed Brooke over to the table.

"Oh my god Nath" Michelle smiled, getting up she walked over and gave him a tight hug. "Hey Chelle how are you" he asked "I'm great hun you?" she asked "I'm great, yeah just finishing my uh solo album" he said "Awhh Nath i'm so happy for you. But fo'real you've grown up so much since I last saw you" she smiled "Haha yeah i've finally hit puberty" he joked. Michelle smiled "You're actually taller than me now" she said jokingly. Nathan chuckled "Congrats on the engagment though" he smiled "Aww thankyou hun. Oh this is Catherine and Amy and girls this is my surrogate little brother Nathan" she smiled "Hey" he smiled waving at them a bit. "You don't need to tell me who that is" Amy smiled "Yeah Amys a fangirl of the wanted" Brooke smiled "Haha thankyou for being a fan" he smiled warmly. "I'm more of a one direction fan" Catherine joked "Me too" Nathan replied jokingly, the girls laughed.

Rachel then walked over, "Hii Rachel" Michelle smiled "oh hey hun" Rachel smiled and hugged Michelle. "Nathan being a pimp again ?" Rachel asked jokingly "Yeah sorry" Nathan joked. "Nath we have an interview at capital in like half an hour and the roads are busy" she said "Okay, well it was nice seeing you girls and Brooke see you tonight. Just tet me the hotel you're at" he smiled warmyl at Brooke. She nodded blushing "Ooooh whats this about" Michelle joked. They both blushed, he hugged Michelle and Brooke "Nice meeting you girls" he said smiling at the other tow and then walked out with Rachel.

Michelle looked at Brooke "Soo you and Nathan huh" Michelle teased. "What we are you just two friends having dinner" she said trying not to turn red "So it's obvious you still have a thing for him" she smiled "Yes, okay. I mean i think he's gorgeous" she said "Awhh well as you know I love Nathan too bits and I think that he is such a sweetheart" Michelle said. "I know he is" Brooke smiled.

That Night

Nathan pulled up at the hotel Brooke was at. He grabbed his phone and texted. 

N: Heyy I'm outside x

B: Great, be out in a min x

N: Awesome x

 Brooke walked outside in a white blouse, skinny blue jeans and black leather jacket. Nathan saw her and got out, went round and opened the door for her. "Thankyou" she smiled. Nathan smiled back and walked round to his side, he opened it and drove to the restaurant.

Later that Night

They had eaten dinner, they had laughed and talked. Nathan told her about his solo stuff and what he wanted to do and she had told him about what she had been upto.

"I had a really nice time" Nathan smiled at her "Me too" she said. Nathan looked at her "Maybe we can do it again" he said hopefully "Yeah i'd like that" she smiled. "Great" he said, they then locked eyes. Nathan and Brooke both leaned in and they shared a loving, tender kiss.
