Nathan walked through the airport, his rucksack on his back. "I'm so happy to be back man" Max, his best friend smiled. "Me too" Nathan said. "How bout you tell your face that" Siva his other best friend said. "Shut up" he laughed. "What you guys planning to do when you get home" Nathan asked. "Sleep" Max joked "Haha tell me about it. You ?" Siva smiled. "I'm gonna see the family. My sister doesnt think i'm coming back for three months, shes at the GMA studios with Demi Lovato, as shes her tour manager so gonna suprise her" Nathan said. "Alright man. Good luck" Siva smiled. Nathan said goodbye to Max and Jay. He waited for his mom to pick him up. "Nath" he heard behind him, he turned round. His mother ran into his arms, hugging "Hey mama" he smiled. "Oh sweetie. I'm so glad your home" she smiled. "Me too" he smiled.
At GMA.
Nathan snuck backstage, he saw his sister Holly with Demi. He'd always fancied Demi. But never told anyone especially Holly as she would definitley tell her. Nathan walked behind his sister. He tapped his sister on the shouder. She turned round and screamed. Nathan turned around "shit made me thought the exorcist was behind me" he said jokingly. "Oh my god! Nathan" she said and jumped into his arms. He spun her round and put her her down. "Oh sorry Demi this is my brother Nathan. Hes just come back from Afghanistan" Holly smiled "I think she cottoned onto that one Hol.I mean i'm wearing my army uniform.But heyy" he smiled, giving her a wave. "Hey. how are ya" she smiled. "Good. Better now i'm back home anyways" he smiled "How did you know I was here" Holly asked "Mom," he said "Of course. Cmon I want you to meet everyone" she said. "I feel like i'm an object and show and tell" he joked. Demi laughed, he smiled at her, then was dragged off by his sister.
For the rest of the day. Nathan hung out with his sister, and her team including Demi.
They were in Demis dressing room, for the last interview of the day.
"Dont worry Nathan, we've been giving your sister grief while you were away" Demi joked, he laughed "haha i'm glad" Nathan smiled. "Ya know Nat's single" Holly said. "I'm sure your lovely but i'm gonna have to pass" Nathan smiled "No worries i'm not offended" Natalie said, smiling "I can set you up with one of my army buddies if you'd like" Nathan asked "Don't. He did that with me and I got set up with a frickin pirate" Holly said. "He wasnt a pirate, he just had a hook instead of a hand and a wooden leg, but i just told him to wear a hook just to see the look on her face" Nathan said."For real" Demi asked. Nathan nodded "Yeah. He had a prostestic hand but i said wear a hook as it will freak her out...It was hilarious" Nathan smiled. Demi and Natalie laughed "It wasnt funny, then he took his hook off and it freaked me the fuck out!" Holly said. Nathan started laughing aswell. "Shut up. Yall are mean" Holly said folding her arms. "Thats so funny" Demi said, giving Nathan a high five. "Whats your plans for tonight" Holly asked Demi "I'm seeing Wilmer" Demi smiled. "Awesome. You wanna hang out" Holly asked Nathan. "Go on then" Nathan smiled. "You in Nat" Holly asked "Yeah i'm in" Natalie smiled.
Three Weeks Later. Monday Night at 9pm
Nathan was driving home in the rain from army training, he saw a figure by the side of the road, by a restaurant. He pulled over and saw Demi. He signalled her to get in. She got into his truck "Hey" he said. "Hey" she said trying not to burst into tears. "What's going on" he asked. "Wilmer and i had a massive arguement and he just left me here" she said. Nathan grabbed some tissues from the back. "Here" he said giving them to her. "Thanks" she smiled. He drove back to Hollys apartment. "Is Hol in" Demi asked "No. Shes at Brads" Nathan said. Demi nodded. They both got out the car and went upstairs to the apartement. "Where were you coming from" Demi asked "Uh army training" Nathan said making hot chocolate. "You going back" Demi asked "No. Just basic training to keep myself in shape and so if they need me i'm ready to go" he smiled warmly. She sat on the couch. "What you two argue about" Nathan asked. "Nothing really. I just think hes getting too flirty with his co star thats all. And he just blew up, walked out leaving me" Demi said. "Oh.." Nathan said, handing her the drink. "Why'd you join the army" Demi asked "haha..Holly hasnt told you has she" Nathan asked. Demi shook her head. Nathan sat next to her on the couch "We're pretty similar you and I. When I finished school I was in a bad place, I had was addicted to drugs, smoked cannabis and weed. Drank alot of alcohol. I had a lot of inner demons. Rehab didnt work, tried it three times. My dad suggested I joined the army, I hated the idea at first, then I realised that I could actually do something with my life. I didnt have the grades to go to college, I was good at track and running and I liked being outdoors. So I enlisted and honestly it changed my life" Nathan said, "Wow. Thats brave" she said. He nodded "Yeah I guess, but its all i could do without killing myself. Hols had some issues in the past aswell, I know and I'm proud of her for sorting them out. I guess we deal with them in our own ways ya know" Nathan said. Demi nodded agreeing. Her phone then buzzed "Its Wil he wants to talk" Demi said. Nathan nodded "Okay. Tell him to come round" Nathan said, "Okay" Demi said and teted him the address.
20 minutes later.
Demi and Nathan were talking with each other, when there was a knock at the door. "I'll be in my room if you need me" Nathan said. Demi nodded and went to answer the door "Hey hermosa" Wilmer said. Demi folded her arms. "I'm sorry about before, nothing is going on between Eiza and me. I swear" Wilmer said. "Okay, why couldnt you of just that before, wothout blowing up on me" Demi said "I dont know" Wilmer said. His phone then went off. Demi saw it was from Eiza. "Wilmer just tell me do you like her" Demi asked. Wilmer stayed silent "I never cheated on you" Wilmer said. "But I cant be with someone, who also likes someone else" Demi said. Wilmer nodded "I understand. I'm sorry hermosa never wanted us to end like this. You'll find somone who deserves you more than I do" Wilmer said, kissing her cheek then leaving the apartment.
Nathan walked out and saw Demi crying in a ball on the floor. He walked over, knelt own beside her and put his arms around her. "Sshh" he whispered in her ear. She cried into his arms, he then lifted her up so they could sit on the sofa together. He sat there for an hour till she stopped. She looked up at him. "Thanks Nath" she smiled. He looked back at her "No worries" he said, giving her a crooked smile.
A Week Later.
Demi is hanging out at Hollys, when Nathan walks out the shower in just a towel. Oh shit! Coulda told me we had a guest here" Nathan said. "Its just Demi. And from where i'm looking she doesn't mind" Holly smiled. Nathan blushed and walked into his room.
Two Hours later.
Nathan is playing guitar in his room. "Didn't know you played" Demi said. "haha it a secret. And well I'm trying" he said sheepishly. Demi walked over and sat beside him "here let me help you" she said. Nathan nodded blushing "Okay so thats a G" Demi said. Nathan strummed, "This is an A" Demi said. Nathan nodded and strummed. "See its pretty easy" Demi said, Nathan looked up into her eyes. She never noticed how beautiful his eyes were. She slightly leaned in. He placed his arm round her waist, so they were closer together, he also leaned it. She put her hand behind his back. Their lips then collided together, full of passion. He put the guitar on the floor, she got onto, staddling him, with her hands on his face, his hands on her waist.
Eight Months Later.
Nathan has gone back out on tour and has been out there for six months, Demi is performing in L.A. All her and Nathans family are there. "So this next song. I'm gonna do is for someone who a few months ago saved my life . He sadly can't be here tonight as he is in the armed forces serving out in Afghanistan. If you guys know anyone who is deployed over there. Sing with me. This is Nightingale." By then end of the song, there wasnt a dry eye in the arena. All her lovatics were screaming "I love you Nath" she said into the microphone, before bursting into tears.
After the Concert
Demi walked backstage, with a bottle of water. She opened her dressing room, she jumped back when she saw her boyfriend of eight months. Standing there in his military uniform, "You're supposed to be on deployment" she said suprised. "I got sent back, they don't need U.S troops anymore" he smiled. She ran into his arms and just hugged him. "You missed me beautiful ?" he chuckled. She smiled nodding, and crying happily in his arms. She put her hands on his cheeks, she kissed his lips passionatley. He kissed back wrapping his strong arms round her waist.
