Nathan was playing on the swings with his brother Louis, when he saw a girl sitting alone on a park bench, she looked like she'd been crying. He got off and walked over "Are you okay?" he asked. She sniffled and looked at him "I lost my mommy" she said. "It's okay, we'll find her" He then offered his hand "Cmon, we can look for her together" he said. She looked at him, "Okay" she said and took his hand, they walked hand in hand to go and find the girl's mom.
2 Years Later
"Nathan guess what ?!" she said running over to her best friend "What Sel" he asked excitedly "I got a role in Barney. I start filming on Monday" she smiled brightly "Wow that's so cool Selena" he said "Yeah I also met a girl called Demi and she's so cool and she got a part aswell!" she beamed "Wow, i'm so happy for you Selena" he said smiling brightly.
A Year Later
Selena knocked on Nathan's bedroom door "Come in" he said. She walked in, Nathan smiled brightly "Hi Selly bear" he said, as he got up and walked over and hugged her "Hi Nath. I have to tell you something" she said "Whats up" he asked, smiling brightly "I'm moving house" she said, Nathans face dropped a little "Where to ?" he asked "To California. I'm sorry Nathan, but I really want to act and Los Angeles is the best place for make it" she said "I'm gonna miss you Selly Bear" he said "Me too Nathyy" she said and hugged him tightly. Nathan hugged back.
Sixteen Years Later
"Yes, mom i'm fine. Yes I am, look mom I gotta go okay. Love you too, bye" he said before hanging up and putting his phone in his pocket. He had recently finished college and decided to come out to L.A, on a small vacation with his best friends. "Dude, fancy going to the beach tomorrow" Louis said as he walked into the lounge of the apartment they were renting "Sure sounds good man" Nathan said. "Yeah we can try that cafe on the beach aswell" Niall piped up "Is that all you think about? Food?" Nathan laughed "No...I also think about girls, but mainly food" Niall said. Nathan laughed, as louis smiled and shook his head. Liam walked in with Harry "Yo beach tomorrow guys?" Louis asked "Yeah i'm in. I need to top up my tan" Harry said. "Alright princess, you can do that while we go surfing" Liam joked.

The boys set up their towels on the beach and were relaxing. Something then caught Nathan's eye, he turned to the left and saw a brown haired girl walking out of the ocean. It was Selena Gomez, his childhood best friend, he then got nervous. Should he go over to her, she was with a group of her friends and a girl he recognized, from back home. Her name was Courtney and Nathan knew her from school. He had no idea that they were still friends, but it had been years since he saw either one of the girls so he doubted they would not only remember him but recognize him. "Who is that?" Niall said interrupting his thoughts "That blonde, she's hot!" he said as he ate his yogurt. "I'm sure that's Courtney Barry" Nathan said "Who?" Niall asked "Remember Selena's best friend we used to hang out when were were kids" Nathan said "Oh shit and that's Selena, dude you can finally get with her?" Niall teased "Huh? What?!" Nathan said blushing "Cmon we all know you've been crushing on her since we were kids.And now she's right in front of you so go into the ocean and say hi" Niall said. The brown haired man thought about it "Okay but you gotta come with" he said to the blonde haired man "Urgh fine, but you owe me a yogurt because this will be wither eaten or melted and hot by the time we get back knowing how bad you are at talking to girls" Niall grumbled, as they got up and walked towards where the girls where now sat.
His heart started to skip a beat as he approached them. "Urgh hey this might sound weird but are you Selena Gomez?" he asked "Yeah I am" she said smiling, thinking it was a fan. "We urgh gre-" he was then interrupted by a shriek "Oh my god Nathan Sykes" Courtney said "Yeah" he smiled "OH my god hi!" she said and hugged him. "And Niall! Shit what are you guys doing here?!" she asked as she hugged them "We're travelling. Graduated college and decided to come over" Niall said "Sel you remember them right?" Courtney said "Yeah, hi" she said and stood up. "Wow Nathyy you've really grown up" she said "You too Selly bear" he said, they then embraced each other. "You look awesome" Nathan said "I could say the same" Selena blushed. "Come and join us, move your towels over here!" Courtney smiled.
The boys moved their towels over, "Sel do you wanna go and get some yogurt" Nathan asked "Sure" she said and they got up, "Dude you owe me a yogurt remember" Niall said "I know I know" Nathan said putting his hands up in surrender, as he walked off with Selena. "This is crazy, that you're here. How's your family?" she asked "They're good, yeah my moms still working every god sent hour. But now I've graduated, I wanna get a job and help her out" he said "That's nice" she smiled "How bout you, how's your family? My mom actually mentioned she bumped into your mom a while back" he said "Oh yeah, she told me and they're good" she said "I meant what I said" he said "Huh?" she asked "About you looking awesome. You grew up to be beautiful" he said smiling a little. She blushed "Thanks Nathan" she said "No problem" he said. She then saw a camera flash "Shit" she said "What?" he asked "Paparazzi" she said, trying to go a bit faster. "Cmon" he said and grabbed her hand, they then ran to the yogurt shop. "I'm sorry Nath, they follow me everywhere!" she said "It's no problem. I'm proud of you, you've done really well" he said and smiled. "Awhh thanks Nath" she said placing her hand on his chest. He looked at it "It's no problem. Do you uh wanna hang out sometime, just you and I" he asked "Sure i'd like that" she smiled "Awesome" he smiled.
Five Years Later
Nathan walked in from work, he was missing his girlfriend. She was on her sold out tour and she had been gone for six months now. He greeted their golden Labrador Buzz and walked into the kitchen, he then saw the most beautiful sight he's ever seen. His girlfriend wearing his shirt, her back turning to him at the stove "Selly!" he beamed "Nathan!" she screamed as she turned around and ran into his arms , he lifted her up "I missed you so much" he said "Me too baby" she said and kissed his lips. He then put her down "I love you darling" he said "I love you too baby" she said. "I'm never gonna let you go babe" he said as he held her.
