Demi Lovato, the head cheerleader at East High. Aka the most popular girl dating you guessed it the Quarterback Joe Jonas. Aka most popular guy. Me on the other hand. I'm nothing special, just a regular kid, i have a few friends, but i'm not popular. My sister on the other hand is vice cheerleader. Her names Ashley, she awesome when shes not around her friends. We pretend we don't know each other in school. But it's cool, I understand though.Everyone knows we're siblings though. I'm sorry I never introduced myself. My names Nathan Sykes. I have a few friends called Harry, Louis, Niall, Zayn and Liam. They're awesome known them since birth.
Me and my friends when we were walking down the corridor. When we saw Joe and Demi. My heart skipped a beat, i really liked her but she never noticed me. She never would, in her eyes i'm just her best friends loser twin brother. Joe saw me look at Demi, he walked over to me "Yo dork you lookin at my girl" he said "uhh n-no" I said stuttering. Joe's a big guy, lets say I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alleyway, "you better not be or i'll beat the shit outta you, ya hear me" Joe snarled at me. Demi walked over "joe baby just leave him alone" she cooed "you're lucky my birds here or i'da knocked you out loser" he said and walked away putting his arm round Demi's shoulder.
At lunch
I walked into the canteen with Louis and Niall, I just had classes with them. We saw Zayn, Liam and Harry. They waved us over and sat down. A few minutes later, I saw my sister walk in, it'd look like she'd been crying. Zac followed her in. I've never liked him but he was captain of the football team, so it was like high school law that they dated. He grabbed my sisters arm. I stood up "Nath what ya doing" Zayn hissed "protecting my sister, i dont care if i get beaten up as long as shes okay" I said and walked over, i pushed Zac "hey get off my sister man !!" i yelled. He looked at me with venemous eyes "Nath it's fine, just leave it" Ashley said. "No it's not Ash, I might not be popular but i'm not gonna let this guy push you around" I said standing my ground. "ha you don't wanna do this man. I have the whole football team behind me. You have four pathetic dweeby friends behind you, whos gonna win. Just walk away little boy" Zac said glaring at me. "No not until you apoligise to my sister" I growled "No why should I shes the whore in this relationship" Zac said. I jumped on him puching him in the face "how dare you talk about my sister like that" I yelled punching his face, Zac started fighting back. he kicked me off him and started punching me like i was doing to him a few minutes ago. My friends came running over. Trying to get me off Zac. Some of the football team including Joe, started on my friends.
The I heard the principle's voice bellowing "WHAT IS GOING ON" he yelled. Zac jumped up "Everybody break it up. break it up. Zachary. Nathan. my office now" he said and walked to the office, we followed him. Ashley looked at me and mouthed thanks, i smiled slightly.
So basically. I got suspended for a month. Zac didnt get taken off the football squad as he was a victim. We walked out. Zac walked off shoving me on the way. I got in my car and went home.
That night at 7pm
I was on my laptop in the living room. Ash was upstairs. My mom was at work (like normal, she worked ALOT since my dad left). Anyways there was a knock at the door, i opened the door. It was Demi "uhm hey Ash's is upstairs" I smiled. Then to my suprise she said "its not ash i've come to talk too" she said "oh uhm" I smiled sheepishly. "I- I just wanted to say it was really brave of what you did today protecting your sister, it takes a real man to do something like that" she smiled "well thanks..i uh was just looking after my sister thats all, its what brothers do" I smiled trying not to blush. "Can I come in" she asked "sure" I smiled and let her in. "Joe and I broke up" she smiled "Oh i mean thats too bad why" I asked. "we had been rowing ever since summer and i told him to break the fight today but he refused, saying it would ruin his rep" Demi said "oh well hes a bit of a douchebag" I smiled, kinda happy they weren't together. She then walked over and stroked my lip and cheek "did it hurt" she asked "yeah but i'll live" I smiled, she smiled back.
"There's also another reason why Joe and I broke up" she announced "oh what is it" I asked "I have feelings for another guy"she smiled, my heart shattered a bit "oh who is it, is he at East High" I asked pretending to be interested. "Yeah he is" she smiled, while blushing "but i dont know, we're not in the same cliques and i've known him since we were little kids i dont want to ruin our friendship" she smiled "mphmm tough one, but you should tell him, he deserves to know the truth, and if he turns you down hes an idiot, because you're beautiful" I smiled "You think so" she blushed "yeah course I do" I smiled. "well can i give you a hint to who it is" she smiled "go on then" I smiled. "he's in this room right now" Demi smiled, I looked around to make sure no-one had walked in. She giggled "it's you Nathan. I've had feelings for you ever since we were freshmen" she smiled "really" I smiled. "yeah but i get it if you dont feel the same after all I am your sister best friend" she said. "No no i do, i've just been waiting since 8th grade for you too tell me" I smiled, still not believing this was happening.
Demi walked over and kissed my lips, I tasted her strawberry lip gloss, she pulled away "you're so amazing" she smiled up at me, I hugged her tightly "I'm never gonna let you go" I smiled and kissed the top of her head.
And now here I am, ten years later, telling my six year old son about the first time him and his mother told our true feelings for each other, she walked in when i was saying "I'm never gonna let you go".
"And he never did" my wife walked into my son Oscar's room, she kissed me on the lips softly "eww stop kissing mommy dad" he said. I tickled him softly then ruffled his hair "okay time to go to sleep bud" I smiled and kissed his head "night daddy, night mommy", Demi kissed her sons head he smiled and lay his head on the pillow. Demi then took my hand, and we went out. I smiled at my boy turned the lightswitch off.
Downstairs in the living room
I had my arm round my beautiful wifes shoulder, she was laying her head in my shoulder "Ya know if i never kicked the shit out of Zac, you may not of realised your feelings for me" I smiled. "Yeah you kicked the shit outta him babe" she sarcastically. "what i did" he said "Yeah if it makes it feel you better. But i always knew I had feelings for you Nath, I was just figuring out the right time to tell you" she smiled. "I love you so much" I smiled at her gorgeous face, she kissed my lips "i love you too" she smiled.
So that's my life gone from not being a very popular kid, to marrying and having children with the head cheerleader. I never thought Demi could like me, not to mention love me, but she does and I love her too. An now we live in the suburbs of California, we have a six year old son called Oscar and a golden labrador called Rufus. I work as a elememtary school teacher while shes a fashion designer. Oh and if you're wondering about Ashley, she actually ended up marrying Liam, they have a five year old called Britney, it's funny how things work out. And for Joe and Zac they both hit their peak at 21 and aint that popular anymore, they actually wash my car when i take it in for a service.
