"Nathan, go and grab some tools from the truck" Luke, his dad shouted. "Sure" he said and walked down the stairs in the construction site, he walked out and saw a paparazzi taking a photo, he became confused as not many celebs visited this part of small town Texas. His eye line followed to where the camera was, he saw a dark haired girl with a taller looking man in a hoodie. He rolled his eyes, he knew exactly who it was. Selena Gomez, the town's star.
He walked back up to where his dad was, "Gomez is back" he said, "Ah the towns starlet and the apple of your eye" he teased "shut up dad" he smiled "Have you or haven't you not had a girlfriend, since she split from Justin just in case" he said. Nathan sighed "I dunno, I guess I expected something to happen after the New Years party, we kissed, we talked and then she just left again" Nathan said. Luke nodded "cmon let's finish this and we'll get off early" he said

Two hours later
Nathan and Luke walked into the house. "Shoes off at the door, both of you" Loralei shouted from the lounge "Yes maam" Nathan said "Then come in to the lounge" she shouted "Yes maam" Luke said, they then walked into the lounge. "Hey guys, you remember Mandy, Brian and Selena and this is Abel, Selena's new boyfriend" Loralei said, "Oh hi" Nathans said with a wave, "Yeah hey, nice to meet you Abel. Oh by the way, Brian I wanted to show you what I've done with the car" he said "Sure, following you" Brian said. Nathan just stood there "Hey hun, go and get changed dinner is nearly ready" Loralei said "Sure" he said and ran upstairs to go and get changed.

Nathan walked into his room and shut the door he took off his shirt and lay on the bed. He reached for his phone in his pocket and looked at the pictures of him and Selena from New Years Eve, he flipped through them and sighed. He put his phone down and got off his bed, before he got his plaid shirt on and did the buttons up. He walked downstairs and bumped into Selena, "Oh sorry" she said "Ah, no it's fine" he said "how are you?" she asked "Good, yeah. How are you?" he asked "I'm good, just released a single and did a cover shoot" she said. "That's good" he said, looking at the floor "Nath, why are you being so awkward? What's going on?" she asked. He looked up at her with confusion "I dunno, the fact that you seem to have some kind of short term memory loss.....we slept together on New Years Eve, then you just go back to L.A, and what just forget about it?! No text, no call. I just thought something would come out of it. I guess" he said, folding his arms "No I didn't forget about it and sorry I guess...." she said "yeah whatever, listen I better go and get the table ready for dinner" he said and walked past her into the kitchen.
Selena and Nathan ate dinner, just looking at each other now and again, while their parents chat and Abel became confused to what their relationship was. After the plates had been cleared, "Selena, can I talk to you outside" Abel said "uh sure, excuse us" Selena said getting up as Abel got up and walked out. They both walked outside onto the patio, he took her hand "listen, I need to ask you something" he said "what's up?" she asked "Have you and Nathan got something going on or have you had something? Ever since he walked in everything has been so tense between you two" he said, Selena looked at him and said "We slept together on New Years Eve and..." Abel looked at him "you still have feelings for him" he said, she looked down "I'm sorry" she said "no, it's not your fault. You can't help how you feel and i'm guessing you've had feelings for him for a longer amount of time than just New Years Eve" he asked. She looked at him, "I better go" he said "How are you gonna get back?" she asked "I'll call Matt, to bring out the jet and i'll get an uber to the airport. I'll be fine, go and get Nathan" he said and kissed her cheek, she nodded "I'll see you around" he said. Abel walked back in, as Nathan came out the lounge, Abel smiled a little got his shoes on and walked out. Nathan became confused and walked to the kitchen, he saw Selena wiping some tears away, he walked over to the patio and opened it. He stepped out "hey, what's wrong?" he said "nothing" she said, turning around her back facing Nathan "Selly you can tell me anything, you know that?" he said walking closer to her "I've ruined everything" she said sitting on the wooden steps wiping her tears. Nathan sat next to her "what do you mean?" he asked "I've lost Abel, I've lost you" she said "you can never lose me Selly" he said "I'm sorry for everything Nath" she said, wiping her tears "don't worry about it" he said shrugging "I should've called you, or texted you to figure out what we were, but I guess things just got on top of me when i got back to L.A and I know that's a shit excuse its just after a while, I didn't know what to say, I didn't want to sound desperate" she said snuffling wiping her tears. "You wouldn't of, I tried to call you but I always got through to your assistant and you were always busy so then I gave up, I reckoned you'd call me if you wanted to talk, then weeks turned to months and yeah I thought you just didn't care or regretted what happened" he said "I didn't regret it. I did everything but regret it" she said, he looked at her "I need to tell you something Sel and I don't want you to freak out" he said "what?" she said looking at him "okay, here goes....Selena I love you, I always have, it's always been you Sel" he said. She leaned in and kissed his lips softly, he kissed back tenderly. She pulled away and put her forehead to his "I love you too Nathan" she said and kissed her lips again. They both pulled away and smiled, putting there heads together "You are so beautiful" he said, putting a strand of hair behind her ear, he leaned in and kissed her head. "We should get back inside" she said "Yeah good idea" he said, as they turned around they saw Loralei, Luke, Mandy, Brian and Rory at the door, all smiling brimming with happiness. Both Loralei and Mandy brimming with even more joy "Well I guess our family know" he said "Yup" she said.

Nathan and Selena spent the weekend together, on Monday he went to the airport with Selena to say goodbye. A few months down the line, Nathan moved over to Los Angeles to be with her and there relationship blossomed from there.
