Cyden's Pov
Seeing Elaya like this makes my heart tear apart. I know it's hard to see nothing but darkness that's why I'm doing my best to find a match donor for her. The doctor said that there's still a chance as long as we find a donor. I didn't know that it's hard to find one.
Alam kong malungkot para sa isang pamilya ang mawalan ng kaanak, kaya naiintindihan ko kung ayaw nilang pumayag sa pakiusap ko. Gusto nilang umalis ang mahal nila ng buo at walang kulang sa katawan. Kaya hindi ko na alam kung saan hahanap. Kung pwede lang ang sa akin, binigay ko na right after the doctor stated Elaya's situation.
"Kung kidney lang sana ang kailangan ni Elaya, ibibigay ko agad 'yung isa ko." Rinig kong sambit ni Maya.
"Ako rin, willing akong ibigay ang isa para buo na siya." Dagdag ni Sheila. I smiled with their care for Elaya. Pero kung kidney man sakali ang kailangan, hindi na nila kailangan ibigay ang kanila. Ako na mismo ang magbibigay ng sa akin, dalawa pa para kay Elaya.
"Ang kaso, hindi naman kidney ang kailangan niya kundi mga mata." Calvin hit the reality. He's right. Why am I talking nonsense here about kidneys? My wife needs a new set of eye to bring back everything to normal.
"Leo's always asking about her Mom. I'm just putting excuses for him to not worry."
"Thank you, Velga. That's what Elaya said about Leo. She doesn't want him to cry and worry when he sees her like that. Kahit namimiss niya na si Leo, tinitiis niya."
"Elaya is really a great woman. I adore her for her toughness. I just hope that God will answer our prayers and give us a donor."
"I really hope so, Velga. Mauna na ako sa inyo, babalikan ko na si Elaya sa kwarto. Baka gising na siya." I stood up and brought the coffee. We're here in the cafeteria and they pay a visit. Unlucky, Elaya's sleeping so they can't talk to her.
"Babalik na lang kami mamayang dinner. Magdadala na lang kami mamaya ng pagkain para sabay-sabay na tayong kumain." Sambit ni Maya.
"I can't come anymore. I'll be with Leo." I suddenly felt sad. Hindi na ako umuuwi sa bahay kaya kay Velga muna nakatira si Leo. Pansamantala lang naman 'yun. Hindi ko lang talaga maiwan si Elaya ngayon.
"I'm really sorry Velga for the burden." She smiled and tapped my shoulder.
"You're like a brother of mine Cyden and I treat Leo like my own nephew since I don't have any so it's not a big deal. Just stay right beside Elaya. That's the best thing you should do. I told Leo that you're out of the country so it's better to not meet him. Don't worry about Leo, I'll take care of him."
"Thank you so much, Velga. Elaya will be happy to hear that." She just smile.
"No need to mention it to her."
"Let's go, Velga. I'll take you home." Mukha namang nagulat si Velga nang magsalita si Kelvin. I noticed that they're not talking recently. Mukhang hindi pinapansin ni Kelvin si Velga, not until now.
"You sure?"
"I won't ask you if it's not." Said Kelvin and walk away. I saw Velga's smile and follow him as she waved her hand on us.
"Mauna na rin kami, Cyden." Paalam ni Sheila.
"Sure. Calvin, Nelson, drive safely, okay?" They just smiled at me.
"Of course, Bro! Say hi to Elaya for us." Tumango naman ako at isa-isa na silang nagsialisan. I'm glad that even though they are busy, they make time to visit Elaya. She really needs our full support right now. I don't want her to feel alone that's why I never leave her side.
