Elaya's Pov
Gulong-gulo ang isip ko ngayon. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nangyayari 'to. Ang daming tanong na tumatakbo sa isip ko. Of all the people, si Cyden pa ang gagawa nito? I thought he's a good man, a good friend. Gusto kong magalit pero hindi ko alam kung anong pumipigil sa akin.
Isang tanong ang patuloy na umiikot sa isip ko, ano ba si Cyden sa buhay ko? Sa buhay na mayroon ako noon? Sino nga ba siya?
Lumayo siya sakin ng kaonti at umupo sa harap ko. Nakakatunaw ang tingin niya. Lagi kong iniiwasan ang mga mata niya mula 'nung una ko siyang makita kasi pakiramdam ko may iba sa mga tingin niya. Kinakabahan ako sa hindi ko malamang dahilan.
"I want to tell you a story." Panimula niya, seryoso siya? Naisip pa niyang magkwento habang ako, eto nakidnap niya sa mismong araw ng kasal ko! I want to shout at him but I remained silent instead.
"Once upon a time, a prince and a princess lived in different kingdom." I didn't know that he's fond of fairy tale, huh? I want to interrupt him but I just let him.
"The princess likes the prince very much but the prince doesn't like her."
"So it's a one sided love? Then the prince realized that he also like the princess but it's too late? She married another prince. What's the sense of this, Cyden? Stop playing around." Hindi ko na napigilang makisawsaw. This is nonsense. He just smiled at me sweetly, what the?
"Uh-huh. You're story is wrong, my queen. But a little bit the same. Well, they both marry each other even though the prince dislike her because that's what their both kingdom wanted. They become the king and queen of their own kingdom. The king has a lot of secrets. He loves his queen ever since. He's just afraid to show his feelings because he might leave his queen someday. He doesn't want that. He wants his queen to be happy because he loves her eternally."
"Stop." I don't know where he got his story but it's killing my head.
"The king is sick. That's his biggest secret. He made his queen to leave him. He believed that he'll just die soon. He don't want to let his queen live in sorrow and loneliness. He thought it's alright without his queen on his side, but it's killing him softly. He missed his queen so much. The king ordered his pawn and knights to look for his be loved queen. He wants to see to her even for the last time. He wants that he's the one who will look for his wife, but he can't. His body is too weak." He paused and breathe. He looks so serious this time.
Hindi ko pa naririnig ang kwento na 'yun kahit kailan pero bakit ang bigat bigat ng kalooban ko? Bakit parang hinihiwa ang puso ko?
"He received a news. A very bad news. They said, his queen is gone. She died in a accident. His world stopped when he heard that. What's the sense of living if the reason why he wants to live is now gone? He also wanted to die. To follow his queen wherever she went. But he realized, he must go on and continue living even it hurts so much. He survive physically but he knew that he's dead mentally and emotionally. He just lost the love of his life. He promised to his queen that she's the only woman he will love today and tomorrow. Until they meet each other again." Yumuko siya bahagya at tumingin sa akin. Hindi ko alam pero biglang nangilid ang mga luha ko.
"One day, he met his queen again. Not a ghost but a real one. She didn't die. His very happy that time. It took so many years. He felt empty and now she's finally here. But life is still unfair after all. She came back, but she can't even remember him." He looked at me and tears started to fall from my eyes. Bakit? Anong....
"He did everything to make his queen remember him but he failed. His queen has her own king and prince. His queen build a new kingdom. A new kingdom without him." He's... he's crying too! For goodness sake, what the hell is happening?!
