I have received an invitation letter of an upcoming art exhibit. I'm not interested in those kind of things but I remembered someone who truly love arts. And I really missed that someone.
I have known that the other companies and business men also received the same invitation. The invitation is gold and has a cursive writing. It looks so elegant.
"Who's this Em, Calvin?" I asked while he was sitting on my couch here in my office. He has his own company yet he's still here, bugging me. Hindi pa rin ata siya tapos magdrama.
There is no name in the invitation so I wonder who's this.
"Where are you Bro? Don't you know Em? Em's work? God! Where have you been?! She's just one of the famous artist in the world and her hometown is Philippines!" He shouted on me.
Oh, I'm sorry if I know nothing. I told you, I'm not into this. Just to the person who left me few years ago. Ugh. Why is it still hurt? Fuck.
"I have an invitation, are you coming to the exhibit?"
"I also have that. I mean, most of the business men has. And of course! I'm coming! Em is an unknown artist. Yes, we knew that she's a woman but that's it! I'm really excited to see her and I'm surely spend my money for her works." Seems like she's really great artist.
Since Calvin is coming, I guess I should come too.
"Kailan nga ito?"
"Hindi ka nagbabasa, Bro. It's on Saturday evening. Wear your best suit." He said and wink.
"Masyado bang engrande 'to?"
"Syempre naman Bro! This is so much awaited. Tututukan 'to ng buong mundo."
"Hindi ba masyadong OA?"
"OA ka diyan. I told you, She's unknown. Tanging mga magagandang obra lang niya ang kilala. And now she's having her own exhibit, I'm sure marami talagang tao."
"How come at kilala mo siya? Kailan ka pa nahilig sa mga ganito?" Tanong ko at nag-iwas tingin lang siya.
"Because of Giana. She really admire Em's work. I bet baka bumalik pa nga iyon dito just to look at Em's exhibit."
"At anong plano mo kapag bumalik siya?" He just shrugged.
"Wala. Ewan."
"Tss. Bahala ka nga sa buhay mo." I stood up and dialed someone.
"Sino 'yan?"
I mouthed 'Era' and he just rolled his eyes.
"Esmeralda na naman."
"What's wrong with her? I'll just ask if she's coming."
"Ewan ko sayo."
After several rings, she answered.
"Hey, Cyden. Napatawag ka?"
"Hey. Are you busy?"
"Ah, kakatapos ko lang sa isang surgery. Why?"
"Have you heard about Em's exhibit?"
"What? Em's works? Gosh!" Napangiti naman ako at umusmid lang si Calvin.
"I guess, you're coming."
"Of course! I love to! I want to see her! She's really awesome! And I want to buy one of her works. Sana lang talaga hindi ako maunahan. So, you'll be there too?"
"Yeah. I received the invitation earlier. Calvin will be there too."
"That's nice! Pupunta rin sila Velga and Kelvin eh. Excited na tuloy ako sa Saturday. So, see you there!"
