After five years....
"Sir, you have a lunch meeting with Mr.Paraz. Then appointment meeting with Mr. Suarez at 2 pm. And the board meeting will start later at 4pm, it's an additional discussion about the proposal of the team yesterday. They decided to prove their project more for you to approve it. So sir, do I need to cancel any of it?"
"Why do I need to cancel any of it?" I asked my secretary.
"Because Miss Era said, you'll eat lunch together. So what about Mr. Paraz?"
"Oh fuck. I forgot. Cancel my meeting with him. We'll just have it tomorrow."
"Alright Sir. As I expected. You won't let Miss Era be mad at you."
"I just don't want to disappoint her, Mr.Kim. I promised that we'll eat together so yeah that's it."
"As you say Sir."
"How about my schedule at night? Do I have any?"
"None Sir. It's clean."
"Good to hear that. You may now leave me here. I'll just call you if I need anything."
"Alright Sir. I'm just outside." He said and went out.
It's been five years. Five long years. I can say that I finally recovered. I survive. I'm totally fine. Marami nangyari at nabago sa loob ng limang taon. I've stayed in US for three years. It's really hard at first but I stayed strong. Thanks to all the people who never leave me and always at my side.
After I finally recovered, I went back here in the Philippines together with Era, Kelvin and Velga. They would also stay here for good.
"Hi Denden!" I looked at the woman who entered my office and went straight in front of me. She's wearing a simple cream dress yet she looks stunning.
"Cut the crap, Era. Stop calling me that."
"Why? It's so cute kaya! Denden. Denden. Denden." And she giggled.
"Stop it."
"Denden, I will say what I want to say." There she go again with her line whenever I want her to stop saying something.
"Just stop it."
"Denden. You're so sungit Den-"
"Stop it! You're not Elaya!" she stopped as I shouted at her. Fuck.
"Oh. I forgot that she's the only one who can call you that. I'm.. I'm sorry." She said with a bitterness in her tone and before she can walk out I held her wrist.
"It's not that, okay? Look, I'm sorry if I shouted you. I just don't want you to call me that. "
"Yeah. Sorry na nga diba? Natuwa lang ako sa commercial sa TV. 'Yung Dandandan, dalandan. Real na real." I laughed as she sang that.
"Alright silly girl. I'm sorry too. Wait, why are you here? I told you I'm going to pick you up at the hospital."
"Ah. Umalis kasi si Kelvin. And since I don't have any patient for the rest of the day, nakisabay na lang ako na idaan dito para hindi mo na ako sunduin."
"Tss. You should wait for me."
"Hindi na kailangan no. May mga gagawin ka pa ba?"
"None. Let's eat?"
"Sure. Let's go!" at nauna na siyang lumabas ng opisina ko. Tss. Kahit kailan talaga 'tong babaeng 'to, hindi marunong maghintay.
For the past five years, Era and I became good friends. I didn't expect that coming. She's so noisy and childish sometimes. But she can also be serious at times.
