Update: added a vampire scene at the end to give insight to simultaneous events that become more relevant in the future.

"Well, at least that's two problems gone," Echo grumbled after Aki and Galaxy yeeted out the window.

"I hate to say it... but Aki had a point. It doesn't feel like... you know.... there's been much purifying," Yurio awkwardly admitted, avoiding Chiyo's gaze.

"Don't be mean, Yurio!" Luna frowned.

"I'm trying not to be!!" Yurio panicked.

"I have to agree... I mean, the woman downstairs told us Chiyo was found by the river, all alone, by a random fisherman guy! That doesn't seem very safe and sound! Pretty trashy thing for a guardian angel to do. And since when did angel magic make your body collapse anyway?! This just doesn't add up," Echo agreed.

"Hm... so the plot thickens," Yurio muttered.

"I know who did it," Yukine immediately corrected.

"OH, COME ON!!!" Yurio yelled in annoyance.

"Ugh. Enlighten us," Echo proceeded.

"... my brother..." Yukine hesitated to answer.

Yurio, Echo and Luna let out a gasp.

"The one who's in the picture with you?" Luna wondered, recalling the photo Yukine had snatched away from her.

"... indeed..." Yukine shyly admitted.

"You have a brother?? Why would he have anything to do with this??" Echo questioned.

"He's the only known angel who'd be capable of messing up this badly," Yukine explained with a hint of bitterness in his tone.

"Angel...?" Luna gasped.

"Well, half-angel..." Yukine added.

"Uh... wait! That's right!! You were called a half-blood in the underworld!! You're like me!!! Ah... so... that's why the demons were so mean to you...?!" Luna gave him a sympathetic gaze.

"After the lack of aid they've provided the underworld, the demons aren't particularly fond of angels..." Yukine explained.

"Oooohhhh! Now I get it! The angels know transportation spells because they go to the human world so often! That's how Yukine knew that spell!" Echo realised.

"... the angels are far more advanced in ability, so... I was able to learn a lot of spells like that..." he muttered.

"I was wondering why I'd never come across that spell before," Echo added, happy to finally understand.

"How come you didn't tell us sooner, Yukine?" Luna asked, feeling a little disheartened.

"... it... wasn't important...." Yukine cowered from the question, easily overwhelmed by the attention.

"Well, it's clearly important now. So... do your souls produce demon and angel magic??" Echo asked.

"Indeed. With his demon magic... a purification attempt would only force the body to collapse and remain unstable," Yukine confirmed.

"There's a difference between the magic??" Yurio questioned in confusion.

"Angel magic isn't harmful to the body because it's pure. If demon magic entered a foreign body, however, it would cause damage both mentally and physically. That's why I warned you not to drink the water Luna made," Yukine added.

"Oh yeah..." Luna recalled.

"Wait. You offered Yurio your water magic as a drink?!! Were you even listening when I explained why your magic fruits wouldn't work?!!" Echo lectured her.
