Yule Ball

Ember POV:

The Yule Ball. That is what could be worse than bloody dementors and feelings. The bloody ball is tonight and Cedric still hasn't asked me... So Flicker asked him why he hadn't and he just assumed that because we are dating we would be going together. Freddy, Georgia, Flicker, and I are getting our dresses shipped to us at lunch by mum and dad... that means we have to go straight from lunch to the prefects bathroom to get ready. "Oi! Bring your arse over here!" Cedric yells at me as I walk past him. I've been ignoring him for the past five days and it's driving both of us crazy. "Piss off. I've go to get to lunch to get my damn dress for this damn ball so I can look pretty for your idiotic arse." I snap at him before I push past him and head into the great hall. 

"Ember! Sit!" As soon as I walk into the great hall Freddy pulls me into a seat at the Slytherin table to sit next to Georgia, Flicker, and her. "When will the post be here?" I ask my sisters with a eye roll. "Now." Freddy says without looking up, as soon as she says that a package drops in front of Jordan Flint at the other side of the table. "How the hell do you do that?" Flicker yells as we each have a package dropped into our laps. "Comes with pranking people its like a sixth sense." Freddy says as she rips open her package to reveal a Slytherin green dress, glittery heels, and a bunch of other stuff that she might need. 

Georgia Follows Freddys lead and tears into her package and reviles something very similar to Freddys, (Georgias Dress Below)

Flicker tears open hers immediately after Georgia and Freddy and nearly drops her food into her lap at the sight of the expensive dress her Father got her. (Flickers dress below)

With a roll of my eyes I tear into my package and get the wind knocked out of me because it looks like my Mum and Dad spent a small fortune. (Embers dress below)

Without another word the four of us take off running towards the prefects bathroom to quickly get ready.

*Time Skip*

The ball starts in ten minutes and Freddy is freaking out because she can't find Zeke. "Where the hell is that bloody Hufflepuff?" She rants so Georgia who is currently lost in bloody Jacob Notts eyes. Flicker is looking at Dillion Nott with something that sorta reminds me of lust while she hangs off of Jordan Flints arm, That's a little weird. James came back to school to accompany Hermione Krum to the ball, and then you've got me standing off to the side on my own waiting for Cedric Krum to bring his behind down those bloody stairs.

"EMBER!" I hear the energetic voice of my best friend Alex Davis yell as she hugs me from behind. "Hey, Alex! Have you seen Cedric?" When I ask her this, I notice her eyes shift to the large tapestry behind me that I now contains a hidded passageway, "Nope, Haven't seen him." She lies with ease before running off to find Paxton. I turn to watch the tapestry to see who exits and am shocked to see Cedric exit the room alone and make his way across the room to a girl who I beleive is called Mia Olson. Cedric places a simple chaste kiss on her hand before turning around and looking startled to see me.

"Ember! Let me explain!" Cedric yells running off after me. "Forget it, Cedric." I run outside and gasp when I see a girl with long black hair and black/brown eyes pointing her wand at me. "Ember. I've been waiting for you." She says slowly. "Who are you?" I question through thick hot tears. "My name is Rain Blackwood, and Im going to be the person to finish the dark lords job... Starting with by gathering all of the former Deatheaters children and turning them into my own Deatheaters." I freeze when I realize what she wants. "No. I will not be a coward like my father and join you. I am my mothers daughter for a reason, Love." As I say this I feel Cedric stiffen behind me and reach for his wand...

"Have it your way then. Foolish girl. AVADA KEDAVRA!" A bright blinding green light shoots out of the end of her wand and all at once darkness consumes me. When I open my eyes I see my body laying on the ground, Cedric holding it while shaking with tears. "You will never get away with this," He says as he grabs for his wand ",Ill make sure of that." He finishes as he shoots a non verbal spell at her that I see carves the word Deatheater into her forehead. She screams in pain before disappearing into the night.

"Ember? What's going on?" I hear an all to familiar voice question from behind me. "Kory... The Deatheaters are back. I took a killing curse to the chest for refusing to join them." I tell Kory who begins to cry ghostly tears as he pulls me back into a hug. "You can't go back." He says sadly as he kisses my head and both of us watch Cedric carry my limp body back into the great hall while yelling for help.  "That's okay. I died for what's right and that's all that matters." I say as I watch my sisters break down in tears and Damon look as if he was going to expload with anger. "Lets go home." I say to Kory as I begin walking into a blinding light. "I've been waiting for you before I moved on... I was planning on being here for the next hundred or so years." Kory says as he takes my hand and we walk into the light together... I'll always be watching over them, but my fight is done... For now at least. Because, I might have found a way for both Kory and I to go back... But thats for me to know and them to find out.
