Chapter Three ~ Sweet Freedom

The girl told Luffy and Coby about how Zoro defended her and her mother from Helmeppo, which is why he was tied to the post, they had dragged off Nicole because she had ignored Helmeppo's advances even though said girl mostly blamed Zoro for the whole tied up to a post thing.

Anyway they heard a noise from the bar and walked in and saw Helmeppo being the spoiled prick he is bragging about he was going to execute Zoro and Nicole even though he promised they could go after a month of being tied up.

Luffy punched the bratty prick sending him flying "You hit me!"Helmeppo whined, Coby tried to hold Luffy back "This guy is scum!"Luffy said "You actually hit me! I am captain Morgan's son you know!"Helmeppo said "Yeah, like i care"Luffy retorted "You'll care after he kills you for this!"Helmeppo yelled like the whiny brat that he is.

"Why don't you just be a man and fight?!"Luffy yelled at him "Ease up Luffy, why are you trying to get on the marines bad side?"Coby asked the straw hat boy "I made up my mind, today Zoro joins my crew"Luffy said.

~Nicole~

"Achoo!"i sneezed "Ah geez, this is the worst"i muttered sniffing when Zoro gasped waking up from his day dream, "You again"he said, looking over as best i could i saw it was Luffy, the straw hat kid from earlier "Don't you have things to do?"Zoro asked him.

"I'll untie you but only if you promise to join my crew"Luffy said "Your what?"Zoro asked "I run a pirate crew and i'm looking for people to join up"Luffy said "No way! I'd never stoop to joining up with a criminal, besides i already have a group with Nicole"Zoro said "Then she can come too"Luffy smiled.

"Wait seriously?Just like that?"i asked surprised "Well sure"Luffy shrugged "I mean you're probably strong if you hang around with Zoro,what's your name again?"Luffy asked "It's Nicole" i told him.

"Well regardless i'm not going to become a pirate, there's only one thing i want in this world and i'm going to reach it with my own power"Zoro said "Yeah that's great but i've already decided you're on my crew"Luffy said "Is this guy for real?"Zoro muttered "I'm totally real! Besides i hear you're the best swordsman around and Nicole probably isn't half bad if you travel together"Luffy said.

"Oh please, i could beat Zoro blindfolded"i said "As if, i could beat you blindfolded and one handed"Zoro said "You wish! You're not even near my level"I smirked "Am too! Just wait until we get our swords back i'll show you"Zoro said "Bring it on Roronoa"i said.

Luffy laughed braking our argument "I like you even more now, right i'll just get your swords and then you'll have to join my crew"he grinned "You're pissing me off!"Zoro yelled at him, Luffy laughed again running off in the wrong direction "Hey genius the base is in the other direction!"i called and saw Luffy shoot past us extending his arms like rubber, "What the hell is this guy?"Zoro muttered "He's a strange one that's for sure"i said and he nodded.

Coby ran over and began untying the ropes holding Zoro and i tied to the post "You have to get out of here"he said "That maniac is gonna kill you for what you're doing right now"Zoro said, i just watched as Coby fumbled with the knots "I can't stand watching the marines act like this, a true marine should be honorable"Coby said.

"Look kid we can't leave, we have ten days left and then"Zoro was cut off "Not quite, they're gonna execute you tomorrow"Coby said "I freaking knew it, no way that bratty prick Helmeppo was gonna keep his word"i said "You're right, Helmeppo never intended to honor your agreement they were gonna kill you and Nicole regardless which made Luffy really angry so he just knocked him out"Coby said.

"Deserves that prick right, man when i get my swords back i'll castrate that bratty nuisance"i grinned a bit "That's going a bit far"Zoro said, i could hear the sweatdrop in his tone "Oh come on you never let me have any fun"i pouted.

"Anyway the marines are dead set on catching Luffy, don't worry i won't ask for you to become a pirate but i will ask for you to help him, you both can offer Luffy strength he'll need, Luffy is the only one who can save you and you're the only ones who can save him from a similar fate"Coby said.

Just then captain Morgan and his men appeared pointing guns at Zoro, Coby and myself "End of the line, for the crime of treason against me i sentence you all to die where you stand"the captain himself said walking over, i glared at the burly man "You've been pulling some interesting moves around here, what is this? Some kind of poorly executed coo? You with the straw hat?"Morgan asked.

I rolled my eyes, man this is one dumb captain "I've always fought alone like a real man does or back to back with Nicole like true partners, not like a coward who hides behind his wall of expendable cronies"Zoro said "Yeah, you're nothing but talk!"i called "Roronoa Zoro, Nicole, don't you dare underestimate me, you maybe a strong fighter but under my authority you're just a rat we throw out with the trash"Morgan growled and ordered his men to take aim.

Just as the men started to fire, Luffy jumped in front taking the bullets which bounced off his rubber body, i figured earlier that he must of eaten one of the devil fruits, truly a very interesting character we've come across "Just who are you?"Zoro asked "I'm Monkey D. Luffy and i'm gonna be King of the Pirates"he grinned.

"You're going to be King of the Pirates? Right, you must be completely out of your rubbery mind do you have any idea what that means?"Zoro asked "King of the pirates means king of the pirates, how can it mean anything else?"Luffy asked "Shocking i know, but he's being completely serious"Coby added.

"Here's what i promised you, there's five of them i don't know which one is yours so i grabbed them all"Luffy said holding our sword "Three of them belong to me, i use Sentoryu, the three sword style"Zoro said.

"The two longer ones are mine"i told him "Hmm, take them already then" Luffy grinned "We would but were kinda tied up incase you forgot"i said "Oh right, just know that if you fight with me now you'll be a government defined villain so it's either that or you're left out here and killed by the marines execution style"Luffy said grinning.

"What are you the son of the devil? It doesn't matter, cause if i don't choose your side i'll just end up dead on these sticks, so lets do it"Zoro said "I'm not really ready to die yet, there's things i wanna do still, so i'm on board" i said "Alright, you're finally joining my crew!"Luffy cheered "Would you quit that? Get us out of here!"Zoro yelled at him.

Luffy couldn't get the ropes loose, Morgan and his men were about to attack "Just give me one of the swords now!"Zoro said and cut us loose, grabbing his swords and blocking the marines while i grabbed mine and dusted myself off.
