Chapter Ninety Six ~ A new ship and a new crewmate

~Third~

"Please you gotta help him!"The Franky family begged bowing to the Strawhats "Come on guy you don't have to beg i already decided i wanted to make him my shipwright"Luffy said "You really mean it and the rest of you are okay with that too?!"the guy asked "It's the captains decision we don't have much say on the matter but we'd be happy to have him on board"Nicole said.

"Ah thank you! Now that they've agreed it's time to move come on you know what we gotta do?" the guy asked "Yeah!"the Franky family cheered and they moved out, the Strawhats went back in and packed all their things "Alright then just to make sure we're on the same page about Usopp?"Zoro asked "Yep"Nicole chirped smiling at him and he smiled back.

"Yeah"Luffy said "This is about doing what's right"Zoro said "I know, let's move you've been depressed for long enough"Luffy said "Shut up! Why's mine the only one with a drawing?!"Sanji asked "Who cares about the picture you've got a bounty"Luffy said "Who is this huh?! Cause it's not me!"Sanji said.

"I thought it was a photo until you said something"Zoro muttered, Sanji came over babbling about something "All the women in the world are gonna laugh at me"Sanji said falling down on the floor "Ugh that guy lied to me he said he was a reporter for the local paper, having a bounty kind of stinks but on the upside the picture turned out pretty cute"Nami said.

"I fought like a true man back there! I'm a pirate just like all the rest of you! And what do they mean by pet?! I'm a doctor darn it!"Chopper yelled "Well try harder then"Luffy said making Chopper cry after that the Strawhats headed out to see their new ship.

The Strawhats made their way to scrapheap island where Iceburg greeted them "Where's Franky?"Luffy asked "Unfortunately Franky can't be here at the moment but the ship is indeed complete shall we take a look?"Iceburg asked walking over to the huge blanket covering their new ship.

"I think you're gonna be impressed i was simply floored looking at the blueprints this ship can sail any sea it may take you to the end of the Grand Line after all"Iceburg said hyping up the ship "Just let me see it already!"Luffy said sparkles around him "Hurry!"Chopper said.

"There's a message Franky said to pass onto you Strawhat he said that if you're going to be a king of pirates someday then you're ship should be the king of beast!"Iceburg said unveiling their new ship "It's amazing!"Nami said "You can say that again"Sanji said, Luffy was totally speechless "Oh wow!"Chopper said "How lovely"Robin said "Wow"Nicole said "Oh yeah"Zoro said.

"It's super big and super cool it looks ready to brake stuff"Luffy said his eyes sparkling "And it's really free?"Chopper asked "It's gotta be twice as big as Merry"Zoro said, Nicole sweatdropped realizing something "Which means you're twice as likely to get lost in it"she sighed "Hey!"Zoro protested with a blush.

"Wait is the sail a sloop? It's huge"Nami said "Show me the kitchen hurry i wanna see"Sanji said "I love the figure head what kind of flower is it supposed to be?"Robin asked "Well i think he intended it to be a lion"Iceburg said, the Strawhats got on their new ship exploring it, the deck had a lawn in it with a few trees with plenty of space to goof around in and garden and nap.

"Come on Zoro let's check out the crows nest"Nicole smiled grabbing his hand and climbing up to the huge structure on top of the mast, it had two stories, the first had plenty of space to train and already had some weight racks installed into it, the windows had comfy little inclines where one could take a nap at any time, the second floor was more like a regular room, the bed had a note on it though.

Nicole picked up the note and blushed as she read it, she handed it to Zoro who also blushed after reading it 'Extra wide for the young couple' it read, the two climbed back down and the Strawhats set in motion a plan to get Franky to join their crew by force if needed to.

They lured Franky in with his briefs "Franky! Thanks the ship is great! Just like you said it's the best we'll take good care of it!"Luffy yelled "Yeah i had fun with you guys have a safe trip!"Franky said "Oh i hate to brake it to ya but if you want your undies back then you're gonna have to join our crew!"Luffy said.

"Give me back my briefs Strawhat"Franky said "Sure join my crew"Luffy said "What are you stupid? I'm not gonna be a pirate, you know you can keep those briefs brother"Franky said before taking a pose by the sea.

"Oh my"Nicole muttered as all of Franky was on proud display, Zoro growled a bit covering her eyes, she giggled "Jealous? Though come to think of it i haven't seen yours"she teased, Zoro blushed before he smirked and whispered to her "Maybe later"making her blush.

"It might get a little rough but shall i lend a hand?"Robin asked "Actually Ice pops said before if we want Franky to join we're gonna have to use force to get our way"Luffy said "But what were you planning?"Nami asked, Robin used her powers to Franky by the balls literally.

"Robin! I still want him to be a man when he joins us lay off"Luffy said "Oh it takes more then a little pulling to you know"Nicole said shrugging a bit "Don't encourage her!"Luffy yelled "Come on i already told you, i couldn't leave this island even if i wanted to, i appreciate the offer really but it just ain't in the cards for me"Franky said.

"Sailing the seas would be great and all but there's still a lot of stuff i have left to take care of here that's why i gave the ship to you, i quit being a shipwright a long time ago and i'm not going back this is the last ship i'm building for the rest of my life, i only had one goal as a ship wright and now i've fulfilled it, i've made my ship of dreams"Franky said.

"That's a lie Franky, you can say what you like but i know the truth this isn't the ship of dreams that you've talked about before"Iceburg said walking over "Yeah well my dream is different now"Franky said "Your dream? That's not what this is about at all, you're not on this island because of something you want to accomplish you're here because of guilt, ever since that day when Tom was taken by the government you've blamed yourself for what happened it's obvious"Iceburg said.

"But even before Tom left this island he had forgiven you, he had shown you a new path, For years you've taken punks from the inner city streets under your wing, you taught them to be dismantlers you worked as bounty hunters and you protected this island from attacking pirates all of this to atone for your sins to look after the city that Tom loved, that Tom was forced to leave behind, although i don't imagine most people saw it that way"Iceburg said.

"No of course not, cause that's not what i was doing not at all!"Franky yelled "You loved ship building and you gave it up suppressed your dream for years and years are you going to do that for the rest of your life? Tom has already forgiven you, i've already forgiven you, nothing you do will change that, this has gone on long enough, it's time to forgive yourself Franky"Iceburg said.

The Franky family sent their big bro some luggage and encouraged him to leave, Franky used the pain as an excuse to cry even though Robin had stopped using her powers some time ago, the Franky reassured their boss they would be fine, Sanji came running in "We've got bad news captain! That stupid grandpa of yours came back for us, he's got a bunch of marines on the other side of the island getting ready to hunt us down and take us out!"he called.

Luffy tossed Franky his briefs "Well come on get on my ship, captains orders"Luffy said "Your ship already huh? An amateur like you will probably sink her in less then a week you've got the finest vessel on the seas and no shipwright? That's a real pity for the ship i mean what can i say you don't leave me much choice, i gotta take care of my masterpiece after all so set sail i'm joining the crew"Franky said finally putting his briefs on before climbing onto the ship, Zoro uncovered Nicole's eyes once he did.
