Chapter Twenty ~ Towards Roguetown

We were ready to depart, we were just waiting on Nami "Hey moss head"i heard and saw Sanji approach Zoro as i was checking everything we needed was ready "What you call me?!"Zoro asked, i could see he was angry but i waited for a bit to see what this was about "Never mind that moss head, i saw you dancing with Nicole"Sanji said obviously picking a fight "What's it to you love cook?"Zoro asked also ready to fight even with one sword "What you call me?!"Sanji asked attacking.

I jumped in then stopping both their attacks and grabbing their ear "Sanji, if you wanted a dance so bad you could have asked"i said pushing him away and letting Zoro go "Wait you're not gonna scold him?!"Sanji asked "Why should i? You're the one that provoked him"i said, Sanji grumbled walking off.

Anyway Yosaku and Johnny said they goodbyes as we were parting ways, Nami still wasn't showing up so Zoro believed she might not show up at all to which Sanji started yelling at him about it and bringing up our dance from the night before again but i ignored him this time, Usopp was muttering about something but i ignored him as well, i believed Nami would be coming.

I had a hunch she was gonna pull some stunt, right on cue Nami showed up "Set the sail!"she yelled and started running over "I don't get it why is she running?"Usopp said "She said set the sail"Luffy said "Right"we muttered and got the ship going, Zoro lifted the anchor while Sanji and Usopp unfurled the sail while i steered the ship out of the port.

Nami jumped on the ship and lifted her shirt a bit reveling she had stolen the villager's wallets "Thanks a bunch!"she said with a smile turning towards the ever shrinking port "Great she hasn't changed a bit"Usopp grumbled "I'd watch my back"Zoro said "I for one am glad to have some female company"i smiled.

We have been sailing for a couple of days and things have been relatively peaceful, or so i'd say if this wasn't the Strawhat Crew, but i do my best to ignore the chaos which is easier when i'm focused on a task like this one, fixing my swords so i can sell them for a good price, yeah i decided to sell these two, they are just generic swords my dad got for me as a gift after i was done training, what i'd really like would be a pair of swords i made myself but that dream is on hold for now.

Then there was a huge commotion, i nearly dropped the sword i had been working on from the surprise but managed to catch it and not hurt myself, i listened to the others as they celebrated over the fact that Luffy was officially a wanted man, with a bounty of thirty million berries, not bad for a first bounty i saw Zoro get serious for a moment though.

"What's up?"i asked him "I was just thinking that with that kind of a bounty headquarters will take action and bounty hunters coming after us are gonna be good"he said "I wouldn't worry too much, i bet we won't have any trouble from here on, at least while we're in the East Blue"i said "You may have a point there"Zoro muttered going back to napping and i went back to maintaining swords.

Though i didn't get back into the zone as a marine ship passed by and came back around, it was that guy from the restaurant, they fired at us but Zoro handled it by cutting the cannonball in half, pfft i could have done that and sliced the ship while i was at it "I was trying to take a nap" Zoro said sounding a bit grumpy to me "There's lot's more where that came from fire!"the guy yelled but their cannon was cracked so it blew back on them, the marine ship rammed ours as the marines boarded our ship but they were easily taken care of, i didn't even have to get up and went right back to maintaining my swords.

I was done with maintenance before we all gathered to have a look at the map "We're getting closer, we've almost made it to the Grand line and it looks like the only way into it is here"Nami said pointing out Reverse Mountain "Well the only safe way, we can always cross through the calm belt"i said, knowing about it because i was raised in the Grand Line, well i was raised all over cause my father traveled a lot when i was little.

"What do you mean safe?"Usopp asked gulping a bit "The calm belt is two strips of sea that surround the entire Grand Line, there are hardly any winds or weather there, it's a nest of sea kings and sea monsters"i explained "Well we first need to stop at a town, time to pick up some meat, need meat"Luffy said, Nami pointed out a small island on the map "There's a famous city on this island known as Roguetown"she said.

"Why is it famous? They got delicious meat?"Luffy asked "Well aside from being one of the only places in the East Blue that's nearest to the entrance of the Grand Line, it's also the place where Gold Roger was born and killed, it's known as the city of the beginning and end"i said, again knowing all this from my father, he actually told me about the day they executed the King of the Pirates cause he had been there when it happened.

"That's where the King of the Pirates died?"Luffy asked "Well?"Nami asked "Yeah, let's do it, this was the man who had the One Piece and everything the world has to offer i need to see where he was born and executed"Luffy said, so our next heading was settled, Roguetown.
