Chapter Twenty Two ~ The Grand Line

~Nicole~

Usopp, Nami and i arrived at the port only to see there was some guy and a lion already there, i figured they were trying to burn the ship but due to the rain couldn't get a fire going, the lion attacked at the guy's command but i easily dealt with it "We don't have time to deal with your games!"i said and charged at the guy knocking him out of the way with the back of my blade just as Marines were coming up from behind "Come on you two"i said helping Nami and Usopp up to the ship ignoring the marines fire.

The marines had brought in cannons but either their aim was horrible or we had some kind of divine luck with us as the cannonballs continued to miss, regardless Usopp, Nami and i got the ship sailing "We can't set sail yet! Luffy and the others aren't back yet!"Usopp yelled "Do you want to stay in cannon fire? If so then be my guest!"i yelled back and went to the cabin to steer the ship out of port but beyond that i didn't have to do much because the current was pulling us out and went back out on the deck just as Sanji came running over.

"Nami! Nicole! I'm back!"he yelled "Where are the others?!"Nami asked yelling back "Who cares! We'll just get them later!"Sanji yelled back "Watch out! Behind you!"i yelled over noticing marines chasing him, Sanji dealt with them but the marines kept coming "We have to get closer"Usopp said "But there's no way we can take the ship back against this current"Nami said.

"Damn it!"Usopp said jumping over and helping Sanji from the water, the ground was too far for me to jump and i wasn't much help from the water so i stayed on the ship but just the there was this huge green wind, i knew only one person capable of this, the wind had also blown our ship way into the open sea, thankfully Luffy rocketed the others and himself over with his gum gum powers, i went over to check on them as they landed on the ship "Everyone okay?"i asked "Yeah"they groaned.

The storm was still going on but the Going Merry was staying strong, we had gathered at the front of the ship and saw a light from a lighthouse "Hey look it's a light!"Nami yelled over the wind "Is that a light house?"Usopp asked "Yeah, it's a guidepost we're getting close to the entrance of the Grand Line"i said "The Grand Line is somewhere just ahead"Luffy said "Do we have to go there in the middle of a hurricane like this?"Usopp asked clinging to the mast for dear life.

"Personally i don't see a better time then this!"I said as the others nodded in agreement "Okay then, i think we should say something to mark the occasion"Sanji said, we all agreed on that and got an empty barrel "I'm going to the Grand Line to find the All Blue"Sanji said starting us off by putting his shoe on the barrel "I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!"Luffy said also putting his sandal covered foot on the barrel "To become the greatest swordsman"Zoro said with a smirk putting his boot up "To make the greatest sword!"i announced with a smile putting my boot next to Zoro's.

(quick A/N i now realize i've totally forgotten to give you a description of Nicole's foot wear, she has generic brown boots on)

"I'm going so i can draw a map of the entire world"Nami said putting her foot up "I guess i'm going to be a brave warrior of the sea"Usopp said putting his shoe up, all our feet barely fit on the barrel but we didn't care "And now to the Grand Line!"Luffy said and well all kicked the barrel into pieces.

We reached the entrance without any further trouble and rode the stream going up the mountain making out of the storm and even past the clouds before falling downstream with the ship, we were going down the mountain super fast but this was nothing new to me, still though it was always so exciting to go through Reverse Mountain, then i heard it a deep groan"Did you guys just hear something?!"Zoro yelled over the wind. 

"It's probably just the wind!"Nami yelled back but then i heard the noise again and i could see something in the distance "Nami! I see a mountain up ahead!"Sanji yelled having spotted it too "What that's impossible?!"Nami yelled back "Who cares! Go!"Luffy yelled "After we pass the Twin Capes up ahead there should be nothing but ocean!"Nami yelled, but the mountain was getting closer and as we past the clouds, the mountain turned out to be a giant whale.

Everyone was freaking out, including me, though i was keeping my cool better then the others i was just confused as to why dad never mentioned this to me, "What are we gonna do?!"Usopp asked freaking out the most "Should we fight?"Luffy asked "Idiot how are we supposed to fight a whale?!"Nami asked yelling at him "I refuse to let you injure this magnificent creature! We are not fighting it!"i also yelled at him.

"But our path is blocked! How do we escape?!"Usopp asked "Calm down! if this giant creature looks like a wall to us we must be a speck!"Sanji yelled "That's right it's possible that thing isn't even aware we're here!"Nami yelled back "We'll run right into it unless we change course look we can get by on the left!"Zoro said pointing out the gap "Port! Hard to port!"he said "The rudder's broken!"Usopp yelled from the cabin "When did that happen?!"i asked "Do something anything!"Zoro said running over, i went with.

I put all my effort into trying to move the rudder along with the boys, but the current was too strong, just then, the cannon was fired and we came to a stop with minimal damage to the ship, but now we were in trouble, the whale could attack us in retaliation, we rowed out of the way right away "What the hell's going on?!"Usopp asked "Either it's reaction time is super slow or it's so big the cannonball didn't even flinch it"Sanji said "Who cares at least we're still alive!"Zoro yelled back at him.

The whale just the decided to let out a groan rattling our very bones, "You think you can brake my special seat and get away with it!"Luffy yelled and punched the whale's eye "You moron!"we all cried, the whale looked at us and even i freaked a bit, the whale opened it's mouth and started to suck us in but Luffy fell off board while we were sucked further in.
