Happy Again

Nilagok ko ang isang shot ng whiskey habang nag-iinuman kami ng mga kabarkada ko.

"You like that girl?" Bahagyang tumaas ang kilay ko sa kaibigan kong nagkatama na sa iniinom namin.

"Erina is hot," ani George. "I like her."

Umigting ang panga ko at lumagok naman ng isang shot. I don't fucking know why this makes me irritating!

"Tsk. Napakapilosopa 'nun!" Sambit ko.

"Kaya nga. Mataray pa. Natotorpe ako."

I tsked again. I drank another shot. Dinama ko ang mainit na likidong dumaloy sa lalamunan ko.

Erina Yestia Alvia. She's unpredictable! She caught my interest.

"What?" Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay ng nagkasalubong kami sa gate ng university.

She is the only girl who hit a nerve. Masyado niyang inaapakan ang ego ko. A girl told me that Erina said I am disgusting. Seriously?

Ngumuso ako. "You don't find me attractive, huh?"

"Excuse me?" Dinungaw ko siya at napakagat-labi. I can't deny that I find her attractive. Her rosy skin... Her hooded eyes... Her brows were fine. Her face is small. Her feminine features are adorable especially her pink lips that is heart-shaped and pouty.

"Well, someone heard you say that I am disgusting," I manage to speak.

"Hindi ba totoo?" She scoffed. Wait, what?

"Woah! My eye defect ka ba?" She hit a nerve!

"No. I just happen to have good eyesight. Iyung tipong hindi agad nasisilaw," sagot niya. "Let us just say you cannot deceive me."

"Disgusting, huh? I'm starting to think that you are just envious of me," aniko. Hinilig ko ang mukha ko sa kanya. I can't get off my eyes at her lips.

"Envious? Why would I?" She's beautiful. Even with her flustered look, she is still beautiful. When she's irritated, she's even more beautiful. I like how feisty she is! Ang sarap niyang asarin.

"You think you stand a chance in beating me? You are wrong! Kulelat ka sa sports, hindi ba?" Aniko. "Nerdy!"

"Just so you know, hindi ako kulelat!" Now, she's like a kid!

"Prove it!" Paghahamon ko.

"Why would I prove myself to you?" Kumunot ang noo niya.

"Earn my respect!"

"Earn your respect? Many respect me. I have too much. Your respect is unnecessary." Aniya.

"Ganyan na ba kataas ang tingin mo sa sarili mo?" I scowled at her. She reflects youth with superiority.

"Oh. I am a woman full of pride." She smirked at me. "I am raised to be a superior."

"Superior excels at everything including sports." Now, it is my time to smirk. "Are you really a superior?"

Nagtitigan kaming dalawa. Mahaba at makapal ang kanyang mga pilik-mata. It adds beauty to her cold stone eyes.

"Yes, I am a superior. And I am not a coward. May try-outs ang volleyball team tomorrow para sa darating na Intrams. I dare you to watch me," sabi niya at tinalikuran ako.

"You are interesting, Alvia," aniko.

"I know." She said with confidence and poise.

She just caught my interest! Now, I'm attracted to her. I am deeply attracted to her. Dammit!
