"Sex"-cretary
Usual day. Pumasok ako sa opisina and it feels strange that I am with the guy that left me hanging. I'm with the guy I learned to love and despise but still treat with civility.
"How are you these past years?" He suddenly asked out of the blue.
Kumunot ang noo ko at binalingan siya ng tingin. Umigting ang panga niya at nakakunot ang noo niya. Concerned? Oh my god! Been there, done that. Hindi na ulit ako magpapaloko sa iyo!
"Ngayon mo lang naisipang magtanong?" Pagtataray ko. "Alright then. My life's fine without you."
Napabuntong-hininga siya.
"How am I supposed to contact you?" Tanong ni Lyon. "You blocked me on facebook. I can't contact your phone number."
Napasinghap ako. "There are a lot of ways, Maxwell. Ang problema lang ay ayaw mo kaya nagdadahilan ka," sabi ko. "Besides, matagal na iyon. Kalimutan na natin."
"Yestia..."
Parang may bahagi ng puso kong tinusok-tusok. Ang sarap pakinggan nang pangalan ko kapag mula sa kanya. That name made me feel special. It also was frustrating. I learned to love and hate the name. It made me remind of the best moments I had with him and the worst things he did to me.
"I'm busy," malamig kong sinabi at hinarap na ang laptop ko.
Narinig ko naman ang buntong-hininga niya. Upset, eh? Serves you right!
Minsan ay hindi ko matapos agad ang gawain ko. Nagnanakaw ako nang tingin sa kanya. Mas lalong nagdepina ang facial structure matapos ang dalawang tao. Mapupungay ang mga mata niya at makikita mo ang mahahabang pilikmata. He looks so serious and mysterious at the same time. He has the charms that can decieve women. His nose has the perfect shape and he still looks handsome even with his brows knitting.
I was almost lost with his manly beauty but I remembered what he did.
Iniwan ka niya, Erina. Hindi niya pa binabalik ang lupain mo. Galit ka sa kanya!
Bigla siyang napatayo. Agad kong binalik ang mga mata ko sa gawain ko. I have to get this done! Geez!
"Won't you eat?" Bigla siyang napatanong.
Bakit ba ang concerned niya ngayon? Matapos niya akong iwan! I do not get him at all!
Napatingin ako sa orasan. Alas dose na pala!
"What do you want to eat, I'll order you food," he offered.
Kinuha ko ang phone ko sa gilid ng laptop. Dinial ko na ang sekretarya ko.
"No thanks. I can order my own food," sabi ko at kinausap na ang sekretarya ko.
Napailing na lamang siya.
Everytime he starts a conversation that is completely unrelated to our business, I would turn him down.
Pero may mga beses din namang ako ang nangunguna ng usapan. I'm here for business, anyway!
"The technical department propose for an upgrade of units."
"May sira ba?"
"Kapag hinayaan, magiging delikado. It's good to be safe," sabi ko. "But, the units are fine. Na-check ko ang mga iyon kahapon."
