My head felt like it was spinning. Tristan let go of me after a few seconds, letting me breathe. For awhile, I was speechless. I just stared him in the eye as he stared back, his eyes glinting with a proud and mischievous look. Oh my god. Oh. My. God. OH MY FUCKING GOD. TRISTAN JUST KISSED ME. I fell back a little onto the floor and put my hands on my face, my cheeks burning like fire.
"oH mY gOd!!" I exclaimed, my voice muffled.
Tristan laughed at my reaction and hugged me tightly, his arms wrapped around my waist. "Aw, don't be embarrassed!"
I put my hands on his arms, trying to pull them off of me. "T-This is serious, Tristan!" I stuttered. He looked up at me, and I blushed at the look from his sparkling green eyes. "Y-You just kissed me and told me that you loved me, a-and I didn't kiss you back— THIS IS A FREAKIN DISASTER."
I felt the music notes on my face lift off and disappear. Tristan smiled boyishly, flattered by my embarrassment. "But I want you to know that I love you. Cheryl." He loomed over me, his hands on either side of my body, and a mischievous smirk crossed his face. "So, you're upset that you didn't kiss me back?"
My face became red, and I pushed his face back with my hand, sitting up straight. "D-Don't do that!" I sat against a glass chamber, trying to get myself as far away from him as possible.
Oh my god! I said that so many times already. BUT STILL.
HOW CAN HE ACT SO NORMAL AFTER KISSING ME LIKE THAT AND BASICALLY TELLING ME I COULD BREAK HIM APART BUT HE TRUSTS THAT I WON'T?!
I put my hands on my face and closed my eyes, feeling my heart running faster than light. There was still a light blush on my cheeks from the tension in the air. I hugged my knees to my chest, putting my forehead against them. And while we're trying to save the world as well... A hand planted on my head, ruffling my hair. I peeked up at this and saw Tristan sitting criss-crossed in front of me, his hand messing with my hair. He smiled boyishly at me.
"Don't worry. We'll take care of this love thing after the world is saved from total annihilation." He helped me up to my feet and took out a roll of bandages from his pocket. He handed it to me and said, "First, wrap up that injured thigh of yours. Don't forget to take out the bullet."
I nodded again. "Okay."

"I'd suspect that Leo would go to the Atlas Bomb control room," I said, peering at Tristan as we walked down the hall. "It's pretty empty here, so he must've stocked up on reinforcements near his location. All we gotta do is find a guard and the rest will appear." Tristan followed behind me, quickly matching my fast pace. "This time, I don't think we should separate. It's too risky to do that right now."
Tristan's hands brushed against mine, and I flinched slightly. "I agree. With the number of guards surrounding the control room, we could burn through fuel easily."
I looked down at my feet, continuing to walk at a quick pace. Don't get distracted, Cheryl. He said we'd deal with it after the fight was over. I clenched my hands into fists and looked forward. Something made me stop in my tracks. The tension here is off.
Tristan stopped as well, giving me a confused look. "What?"
My ears picked up voices. My eyes widened suddenly, and I grabbed Tristan's hand, pushing us into a random room. I closed the door shut, only to catch a glimpse of the two guards walking down the hall. I locked the door and looked around the room. Tristan was puzzled as I headed over to the airing ducts. I placed my hand onto the draft and bit my tongue. Goddamn it. No fresh air is coming in. They must've closed the airing ducts after that stunt I pulled earlier.
I sat on the floor and closed my eyes, breathing deeply. Leo is waiting for me to go to the control base. A trap might be set to get my power. He doesn't have control of the Blood Assassin. Is there any other way to transport someone's power? I think not. So how does he plan on getting my powers? What're we going to do when we get there? I guess we could kill him, but that's overboard. Maybe we could transfer him somewhere else. No teleportation attributes or capsules anywhere! I glared at the floor with my hands on my knees. My legs crossed and clicked my tongue.
"I don't remember what time it is."
"November 18, 2:14 p.m," Tristan replied as he stared into space.
He was leaning against the wall, looking up at the ceiling. Lucky him to have the time attribute. I stood up and looked at the bandages wrapped around my thigh, staring off. If the music attribute is under my control, this much power should be able to heal my thigh much faster than most injuries. That's a relief, but what are we going to do afterwards?
I peered at Tristan and saw him staring at my legs. His green eyes seemed to gleam blankly. A blush covered my face, and I put my hands on my hips, my cheeks puffing out. This brought his attention to me as I glared at him, my grey eyes piercing into his head.
"My eyes are up here, you dumbass," I informed him.
Tristan kicked the wall lightly, pushing himself onto his feet. His hands were in his pockets as he walked towards my direction. Looking down at me, he smiled. "I know."
My blush deepened, and I stepped back, crossing my arms. "Then don't stare at my legs." I glanced at him and added, "It makes you seem like a perv."
"If guys weren't perverts, humans would be extinct."
I rolled my eyes and changed the subject, swinging the door of the room open. "Looks like they're gone. Let's get going." My black hair brushed against my flushed cheeks, and I walked out of the room. "Don't even think about being the slightest bit of a pervert until this is all over."
Tristan chuckled behind me, his hand petting my head. "Sure. Okay."
I smiled slightly, and we walked down the hall. Little did I know, this happiness wasn't going to last for long.
