After the necessarily-needed break to calm down the Blood Assassin Princess, I sit down in my chair once more, my cheeks a slight red from the embarrassment. The cameraman calls for Tristan to sit in the chair in front of me. I suffice a smile to him, and he does the same, though it looks more like a goofy grin. I can feel Cheryl's heavy gaze resting on him.
"Are you ready for the questions?" I ask, clearing my throat.
Tristan nods with confidence.
I look at my cards. Each one is handmade for each character. Picking out the green card from the deck, I scan the questions. "Alright! The first one, pretty popular question: when did you start liking Cheryl?"
Tristan immediately blushes at the question, his cheeks flaring red. I can hear Miss Tanner giggling from behind the scene as a confused look crosses Cheryl's face. Tristan sinks into his chair, his face red. His hands grip the armrests tightly.
"Kindergarten.." He whispers inaudibly.
Only I catch it.
I immediately put the card on my face, my face flushing with excitement. "Wow! Must've felt really good to finally catch up to her, right?" Cheryl seems a little puzzled at this. I look over at her and repeat loudly, "Kinder, he says!"
Cheryl immediately stiffens, her face flushing pink. Miss Tanner holds onto her to keep her from falling as she laughs. Julia Fernandez rolls her eyes, her spirit crossing her arms, as if annoyed.
"Next question! What do you plan on doing now that Cheryl is a part of your life?"
"I've decided to graduate from college. Ask her to marry me. Make a family. Live old together. Die together. You know, what any normal couple should do," Tristan says casually. Cheryl puts a hand over her heart, a small smile on her face. I can't help but notice that her purple eye is sparkling.
I find that the camera crew starts sniffling at how sad their love lives are compared to the two protagonists. "I wish I'd find someone like that..." I mumbled myself. Shaking my head, I smile. "Great! Break her heart, and I won't hesitate to snap your neck in half and chop off your dick! I am the author, after all!"
"Wh—"
"Moving on!" I exclaim quickly, interrupting him briefly. "Is there anything you'd like to say to Leo and/or Julia?"
Tristan turns to the spirits. Instead of a hostile atmosphere like his lover, he grins. "Thank you for making this all happen. Without both you fuckers, I don't think I'd be able to have Cheryl at my side right now. Other than that, you still both fucking suck. So Leo, go fuck a wall since you clearly don't get any action at night. And Julia, suck a dick, you little bitch."
He says all this with a smile.
Everyone's eyes widen to an extent of shock at Tristan's unchanged face.
"Why you peasant—" Julia starts, but Leo interrupts her.
"Don't try," Leo says, his eyes blank as they rest on Tristan. "This man always finds a way to roast your ass all the way to Neptune."
Julia puts her hands on her hips, tossing her brown hair to the side as she glares at Leo. "And who the hell are you?"
"Another villain in this mad love story, brunette," Leo replies with a tone of drowsiness and sarcasm mixed together.
I ignore the two antagonists' weird bonding session. Bonding? I don't know about that. I almost forgot they didn't know each other at all. "Do you believe that fate planned this out?"
"Uhh, no." Tristan clasps his hands together and leans forward. "I believe that fate just did whatever the fuck it thought it needed to do in order to test my love for Cheryl and her love for me. But did they plan for this to happen? I doubt that."
"Do you expect anything special from your future child or children?"
"I expect them to be powerful. Since both Cheryl and I have more than the average attributes, I expect that our future child will be abnormal and be born with more than two attributes," Tristan responds. "Though, I will protect them. Because, first and foremost: fuck bullies."
Cheryl is now a rolled-up ball in the corner, her cheeks pink as Miss Tanner pats her head with a giggle.
"One last question: if you could change something, what would it be?"
Tristan pauses and thinks for a moment, the question dazing him. His green eyes shine as he stares out the window, looking at the blue sky. "I.. wouldn't change anything."
"Why?"
"Well, the pain and the scars; they both shape Cheryl and me into the people we became. And now look at us! Cheryl is the Blood Assassin Princess, who has four attributes and can wield the most powerful weapon to its full extent of power, as well as being the last to have the most powerful attribute in the world. I have five attributes, two of which are powerful in their own right." Tristan looks over at me and grins idiotically again. "What's there to change if life is perfect for me now?"
I smile as Cheryl stands behind the scene, her cheeks pink. Tristan stands up and jogs up towards her, embracing a hug towards his lover.
"You're stupid," she murmurs.
Tristan laughs.
"That ended on a good note!" I exclaim.
