"BACK OFF, ASSHAT!" I yelled, firing the sniper at the man.
His eagle transformation screeched loudly. The blue light flashed, and he was reverted back into his human form. Blood dripped from his arm as he fell to the ground, crashing into the rubble. A loud cracking noise caused a shiver to run down my spine. I felt something grabbing my leg, tugging on my shoes. My head whipped around and I saw a man pulling on my leg, trying to get me off the cloud. I gripped the sniper and slammed it to the back of his head. His neck snapped loudly as he became limp. I watched him fall the height of hundreds of meters.
"I'm going inside!" I yelled to Tristan.
He heard my voice, and his eyes flickered towards me. "Be. Fucking. CAREFUL!"
I rolled my eyes and yelled back, "I GODDAMN FUCKING KNOW."
I jumped through the huge hole in the building and ran through the corridors, looking for an entrance to the Atlas Bomb control center. My eyes scanned the doors and the signs with my ears listening for other people that could possibly intervene. Then, I heard a faint clicking. Someone's clicking away at a keyboard. I blindly followed the sound and ended up near a huge iron door, my eyes gleaming brightly at it. I looked through the key hole and saw a few men typing something on a keyboard. The words were blurry, so I couldn't read anything. Not much until they zoomed in.
Leo.. something about Atlas Bomb.. left wing.. fourth floor.. a huge shattered wall.. warning.. the girl?
It took me a few seconds to realize that the men were warning Leo that at the left wing, fourth floor, the wall had been brought down and could potentially disturb the Atlas Bomb. The girl they mentioned was me. They were warning Leo that I was close by so they could put the plan to action. My eyes widened, and I stood up straight, pulling my shirt down. Let's do this. I breathed in deeply and looked at the iron door. As soon as my eyes flashed purple, I was heading right for the door, kicking it open. It landed on the ground with a thud, and the men whipped around.
They didn't seem to notice that I had jumped into the air and landed behind them on the keyboard. My hand pushed down on the delete button, and the screen turned off. The beeping noise had alerted the guards, and they turned the other way, facing me. The only thing they saw coming was my leg as it swiped across the air, hitting all of their faces. Five guards. One of them seems to be physically stronger than the rest. The leader, maybe. I hopped near the entrance of the room to avoid getting hit by any counterattacks. They were all wearing the same thing: green vests with black underneath.
"Fuck!" One of them cursed. "She found us already?!"
"You shouldn't be worried because I found you," I replied darkly, glaring at them. My hands clenched into fists. "You should be worried as to whether you'll survive or not."
I appeared in front of the man, whose eyes seemed to gleam like a cat. My arm was pulled back, and my fist pushed itself into his face. His nose began to bleed, and as he reacted by falling, my leg decided to strike his back. The force pushed him to the left side of the room, crashing against the wall. A rush of wind brushed against my back, and I whipped around, my arm up to block the titanium bat in another man's hand. My left leg kicked his side, and I heard the ribs cracking. It seemed to me that he was the leader, so I decided to keep in mind that he was the alpha.
He was pushed to the floor, and I landed on him, my right foot on his head to keep him down. Two other men came at me from my left and right sides. As soon as they came within arms' reach, my arms reached out, grabbing their faces. I looked at my right, my glare striking a shiver down his spine, and my hands glowed red. Knives appeared and chucked through their heads. Their blood dripped down my hands and arms like streams of water, and I threw them in front of me. A hand grabbed my foot, and I stomped on Alpha's head in return.
A deafening screech followed the cracking sound, and I looked up. A pterodactyl was above me, and a light wrapped around it. A man took its place and came falling down, aiming to crush down on me. I swept to the side, letting him crush the Alpha. Let's call this man Dino.
"I'm not done with you!"
I whipped around. Cat Man was headed straight for me, in midair. I grabbed his arms, to his surprise, and swung him around, letting him knock out the standing Dino. The men gathered up, injured. I, on the other hand, had a single scratch on my arm. Raven and Blondie seemed to be doing fine because it seemed that Blondie had the attribute of healing wounds. Wounds. Only wounds. Not stamina or strength. The knives in their hands disappeared with a faint red glow, and I clasped my hands together, clapping excitedly.
"Well done! That was fun," I commented, congratulating them excitedly. I received poisonous glares as the only response. "You're obviously much stronger than most of those weak asses out there. I assume you're the ones Leo calls his Elite Squad?"
Not one of them flinched, but a slight reaction made them realize I was smarter than I looked. "How did you—"
I interrupted Dino. "I heard him. The Elite Squad is the most strongest people on his team, besides himself. He says you're capable of intellectual situations and violence, right?" A sarcastic smile appeared on my lips, and my head tilted a little, staring at them intently. "I fucking dare you to out-combat me."
Again, they didn't flinch, but their reactions were stronger this time. Alpha glared at me with his blue eyes saturated in rage. "Challenge accepted, demon child. Are you ready to be defeated?"
An evil chuckle escaped my mouth, and I found their confidence amusing. God, no one ever says that to me. My face darkened, and I stared at them intently, a smile gracing my lips. My eyes flashed purple, as did my body.
"I'd like to see you try."
