~ Four Year Time Skip ~
With her world taped back into a whole masterpiece, Cheryl Faun was able to settle her life. Studying in a writing (general) major, she spent four years in college, dedicating life and limb to her studies. She graduated happily, and Tristan Tanner congratulated her for it. He was working on a mechanical engineer major and decided to spend six years on it. This shocked Layla Tanner, but she decided that she shouldn't have been surprised. Her son always wanted to be like her deceased husband— a hardworking man— so she had to learn to accept it.
With Cheryl heading into her adult life, Lucille spent her time helping her. Four years of hardcore studying seemed to help with Jonas Tanner's idea of a book. They were done with the first draft, and they had decided to process it through many editors.
Here is where they began.
Cheryl Faun
"Good morning, Little Miss!" Miss Tanner exclaimed brightly.
I yawned suddenly as daylight streamed into the living room and stretched out my arms and legs. Ow..! I must've forgotten to go to bed after crashing on the couch. I peered up at Miss Tanner and smiled a little.
"Morning," I replied as I held my head, sitting up.
"Jonas is going out to register the draft through two more editors, but he suggested you stayed home," Miss Tanner said. I watched as she flipped a pancake onto a plate and turned off the stove, walking out of the narrow space where I could see her. "I think it'll be a good break, don't you think?"
"Oh, thank god!" I exclaimed happily, closing my eyes blissfully as I collapsed on the couch. "All I feel like doing is sleeping!"
Miss Tanner giggled at my childish behavior. She drizzled syrup over the pancakes, drenching them as she said, "I don't think you'll sleep if I tell you that Tristan is visiting again."
My eyes widened suddenly, and I jumped to my feet, almost tripping on the blanket that wrapped around my leg. "He's finally visiting?!" I repeated.
Miss Tanner laughed lightly and placed the plate of pancakes on the dining table. Gently, she walked over and pushed my fully awake body into the chair. "Yes, yes," she replied sweetly, "He said so yesterday, over the phone while you were sleeping."
"He hasn't visited in two months! How mean..!" I complained childishly. I couldn't stop the small innocent smile climbing onto my face.
Miss Tanner smiled just as lovingly. "I know, I know, Little Miss. It's been four years since you two have been dating, right?" I nodded. "Oooh, you two are a bunch of romantics~!"
"Is it okay if I try to make him pecan pie today for dinner?" I asked her, shoving my face with food.
"Oh, his favorite dessert? Of course! I'll be out today anyway, for a job related issue. Something about the quarter. So it'll just be you two."

"Hello?"
"Hi!" I greeted. "I want to apologize for not being able to go with you to the editors."
Jonas chuckled over the phone. "Oh, that's fine, Cheryl. Don't worry about it! Besides, I met up with a few friends and now we're drinking, so you don't need to fret at all."
"Oh! That's great!" I responded, mentally sighing in relief that I didn't offend him by not going. I looked around the kitchen with a hand on my hip. "Have fun, sir! I have to go now, because Tristan is coming soon, so I need to make him a pie."
