Cheryl Faun
I finally shoved the groceries into my fridge, did the laundry, and cleaned the entire house in a whole day. Time really is fast. It was night by now, and I found myself outside, sitting down on the railing of my balcony while looking at the cars driving by. The streetlights turned on as the night flooded the sky. I did this a lot whenever I felt bored on the weekends, staring at the lights turning on all at once. Seeing it was almost... magical.
As well as this, I also suspected that the balcony was how Tristan mysteriously got into my house. There you go again Cheryl, thinking about him. My cheeks puffed out slightly, hiding in the hood of my white hoodie. I was wearing a pair of black and white sleeping shorts with my white hoodie pulled onto my tiny torso. The hood was over my head, and white bunny ears flopped down at the back. My feet had white bunny socks on them, and I remained shoeless.
I had this weird obsession over white bunnies, since they were so cute, but mercilessly killed by wolves.
I was swinging my legs in the air, trying to pass time. The cars rolled by, a few children in the backseats staring at me. I couldn't help but feel almost guilty. A child once called me an angel. She looked so innocent and righteous. If anything, I was a demon. A monster. My eyes lowered, and I tried prying my mind from the thought.
Suddenly, I spotted something in the distance. On the sidewalk next to the left side of my house was a black item near a dead bush. It was shaped like an L, but a little different, details added to the form. It was black, and shiny, almost like..
.. a gun.
My eyes widened, and I hopped off my balcony, landing on my feet. I strolled towards the gun, looking around. Standing before it, I stared curiously until I decided to dispose of it, just in case a little kid found it and began shooting themselves with it. I was about to pick it up, only to hear a rustling noise. I stood up straight, and my grey eyes glanced over at the bush. Through the thick branches and leaves, I saw a man, pointing his sniper at me.
I remained emotionless, and almost immediately, when the man's eyes met mine, he pulled the trigger. My left hand waved in front of the bullet when it appeared a foot away from me. It exploded from the sudden heat, melting onto the concrete ground. The man's eyes widened, and he slipped out of the bush. I almost attacked him right then and there, but he disappeared suddenly. Either invisibility, or teleportation. I'm positive.
Grabbing the gun, I took a night walk to the police station, turning in the gun. With their thanks, I walked back into my house and sat back on the railing of my balcony. Have people been spying on me..? And if so, who are they? I don't remember pissing off any organizations before. Besides, who would know me? The wind began to play with my stray hair, trying to mess it up, but the hood blocked it from moving much. My mind began wondering bolder questions, until I realized..
..the music attribute.
When someone died, their attributes were passed on to either family, which were people they parented, or moved into a heart of a newborn baby. The second was only by chance. Some people in the past had been able to alter these changes, so when they killed someone with a specific knife known as the Blood Assassin, their attributes were transferred into the weapon. The bottom of the handle opened, and the user would drink the attributes down, almost like water.
But that doesn't make any sense. If they wanted my music attribute, they should've brought the Blood Assassin, not kill me with a gun. Unless I survived, and they decided to interrogate me first.
I sighed, and my cheeks puffed out in annoyance.
Maybe I'm thinking into this too much.
I mean, being known as the Fallen Snow Angel, people with specific attributes can make out my face on the newspapers and other newsstands. I understand some people also feel sorry that the Gatekeeper Of Hell keeps on rescuing me from death and want to help me back 'home'.
I sighed again and jumped off the railing onto the balcony, heading back into my room. I should go to sleep. Tomorrow, I can go eat out since I don't have anymore chores to do. I nodded to myself and jumped onto my bed, pulling over the duvet.
~~~
I heard an amused chuckle alongside my balcony door closing and shoved my face in my pillow, trying to cover my ears. Ugh.. don't tell me he's here. "Wake up, bunny girl. I wanna go snowboarding with ya today."
"Go away, Tristan!" I whined, though it was muffled.
He pulled on the pillow, and I fell off the bed. I sighed in frustration and began rolling around on the floor until I managed to get to my closet. I pulled myself up and pulled off the hood, messing my hair up even more with my hand. I was tired, and I didn't want to do anything today. Tristan, who was in the corner of my room, laughed, trying to cover it up with a cough.
"What is this? Halloween?"
I looked at him and puffed my cheeks out in annoyance. "Shut up! I just really like bunnies, dammit."
He laughed and put his hand on my head, ruffling my hair. I scowled and tried to get his hand off of me since I found myself feeling like an actual bunny. We continued arguing for a while, and I managed to shove him onto my bed and run into the shower with my clothes. I took a quick shower and changed into my clothes, finding Tristan in the kitchen with breakfast. I managed to eat it all. Finishing our meal, we headed to the mountain near the town by using his flight attribute.
Tristan didn't want me to waste my energy, even though I complained and said that I was capable of using my weather attribute. I had my arms and legs wrapped around his torso, hugging him from behind as he flew us over to the snowboarding site. It was pretty big, but I guess it made sense since it was so popular. This site was the biggest mountain in town, and people came here for fun and thrill.
It was partially my fault for the snow, but no one needed to know that.
Far before I had walked onto the range of the mountain, the sun was already long gone, and the sky was clouded. I was set down on my feet with Tristan standing beside me.
I looked up at the sky once again, sighing miserably, "The sun's hiding again.."
Tristan put his hand on my head, patting it again. "Aw, don't be so down, Cheryl. I'm sure the sun will come out soon."
I looked forward to see many people scattered all around the site, all of which were staring at the gently falling snow, curious as to why it was snowing so suddenly. I frowned slightly, making sure Tristan didn't see uncertainty on my face.
Somehow, I'm not convinced.
