"Oooh!" I squealed. "It's so pretty!"

"Yeah." Tristan's hand held mine tightly, and I looked over at him. His eyes were on me, but I was a little confused. That's when I realized that he had been staring at me the whole time. I turned away, my face reddening, and I heard Tristan laugh. His left hand came up towards my face, pinching my cheek lightly with a smile. "Very pretty."

"What is this place?" I asked as we walked in, averting his gaze away from me. The lights were dim, and the tables were arranged nicely. My eyes scattered around until I saw the right side of the place. Tables and tables of food. Food. I quickly turned to Tristan, jumping up and down excitedly. "Is this a buffet?!"

Tristan laughed again. "Of course."

My eyes twinkled brightly. Get yourself a Tristan. I have my own, and he's amazing. A man from behind the counter of the bar looked up and smiled when he saw Tristan. He then waved his arm and yelled, "Yo!"

Tristan waved back. He looked at me and said, "I know everyone here, so I want to introduce you to one of them."

"Wha— really?"

Tristan just smiled in response and led us to the bar. He and the man did a bro-hug thing, and the man looked at me. "You two on a date?" The both of us nodded. "That's great for this guy. He's been talking about you a lot, and I thought you two would never— ACK!" I jumped a little when Tristan whacked the back of the man's head.

"Shut up, dude," he hissed.

I smiled and hugged his arm lightly, making him look at me with an embarrassed blush on his face. "That's so cute of you."

The man regained his posture and put out a hand. "The name's Dane. Kind of like the Great Dane."

"It's nice to meet you," I said quietly, shaking his hand. "I assume that you know my name, because of Tristan?"

"Darn right I do," Dane responded with a grin. Tristan stood there, blushing in utter defeat. "Can I get you two anything?"

"I want Cheryl to try the drink you made me when I was seven," Tristan said, sitting down. I sat down next to him on the stool.

"Is it alcohol?" I deadpanned with a blank face.

Dane laughed at my blank reaction. "Naw. It's something better."

He went to the back and began making the mysterious drink. Tristan looked over at me and asked, "Do you want anything to eat? I'll go get something for you from the buffet."

"Okay!"

Tristan headed off. Dane turned around and placed a glass on the table. "You're gonna love this drink," he said, smiling. "Tristan liked it, and it's really good."

"I'll believe you," I responded with a small smile.

"So," Dane said, glancing at me as he mixed a drink up in his hands. "What's the history with you two lovebirds?"

"I was suicidal, a lot actually, and Tristan usually saved me," I replied. I clutched the necklace in my hand tightly. "A lot of things happened, and events took an unexpected turn. We've cheated death so many times already. I guess that's when I realized that.. Tristan meant more to me than just some dumb bastard that saved me from dying."

"Damn," he commented, grinning up at me. "That's quite a story to tell."

"It is," I said, smiling, "isn't it?"

"Well, well, well," an unfamiliar voice stated. An arm wrapped around me, and I looked to my left to see a man around the same age as me taking a seat beside me, sitting up immediately. "What's a pretty lady like you doing here?"

"Screw off, Carter," Dane remarked, pouring a pink drink into the glass in front of me. "She didn't come here to deal with your bullshit."

"The lady can talk for herself," Carter sneered at the bartender. He looked over at me and winked, "What's your name, pretty?"

"My name is Cheryl Faun," I said bluntly. I shrugged off his arm from my shoulders and added in sarcastically, "And I'm restricting myself from killing you right now."

"Ha, playing hard to get?"

"I'm sorry," I apologized quickly, pulling his persistent arm off of my shoulder. "But I'm saying no to you, you shameless hooker. Go and run off to other ladies that would be sad enough to want your ugly fucking face in their view."

"No and yes mean the same thing at this bar," Carter shrugged off. "It's a matter of time before you fall for my deathly good charms."

I stiffened at his words. This stupid asshole... I turned to him and glared menacingly. "Do you want me to punch you? Because I'm really tempted to by your irritating face."

"What? No." I ignored his words as my purple eye glowed brightly, and my fist hit his stomach. He fell off the chair and onto the floor, some blood running down his mouth. Looking up, he gave me a disgusted look, wiping away the blood with his hand. "What the fuck, you crazy bitch?!"

"Oops, my bad. I thought no and yes meant the same thing," I mocked sarcastically. I glared down at him, my eyes glowing brightly. "Now, I suggest you piss off before I rip out what's left of your brains and burn them into ashes, just like your ego."

"Piss off, Carter," Dane finished.

My eye stopped glowing as he left, and I crossed my arms angrily. Tristan came by and put down a plate of food in front of me, watching as the man left. "Who was that?"

I smiled slightly. "You don't have to worry. It was just a shameless flirt, so it's nothing." Tristan began eating the fried noodles he got, though I bet he knew what happened. I turned the swivel chair back at Dane. "Is the drink done?"

Dane nodded. "Yup." He placed the pink drink in front of me. The straw was clear, and it had purple jello in it.

My eyes sparkled. "Ooh~! It's so pretty!"

"Try it," Tristan encouraged.

I put the straw in my mouth and sucked on the jello. It tastes like grapes. Surprisingly, it's kind of sour. As soon as I finished the jelly, the pink drink fizzed and bubbled in my mouth. My legs kicked, and I released the drink, my eyes squeezing shut.

"ACK!" Tristan started laughing at my reaction, and Dane quickly escaped behind the bar. "OH MY GOD, WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME IT WAS THAT BUBBLY?!"

"It's funny!" Tristan exclaimed, laughing a little more

"You're so mean!" I whined, hitting his arm lightly as he continued with his laughing fit. "That's so mean of you to do!"

Tristan hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry then!" He said, still laughing.

My cheeks puffed out in annoyance. "You better be!"
