Camping

Y/N's P.O.V

A few weeks ago Shawn had met my family, including all my Auntie's, Uncle's, Cousins, Grandparents, everyone. He was a nervous wreck but he didn't have to be because they all adored him.

That weekend when we were all eating dinner my family started talking about our Canada Day camping trip. During the conversation they told Shawn he should come with us for more family bonding, he happily agreed and that's where we were heading now.

"Your excited?" Shawn asked me.

"heck yeah! I can't wait!" I smiled.

"me either! it's going to be fun!"

Pulling up to the campsite Shawn parked his jeep and we got out leaving our things in the vehicle for now. Hugging my parents we were the first ones at the sight.

"Y/N, Shawn! we're so happy you guys could come" my mom smiled giving us a hug.

"me to! i'm excited for the weekend" Shawn smiled giving her a hug.

"buddy you made it!" my dad yelled coming out of the trailer.

"yeah!" Shawn laughed.

My dad was all buddy buddy with Shawn and it was sort of funny. We help them set up a few things around the camp sight and soon enough the rest of the family showed up.

Once it was a little darker out and my little cousins were getting on my every last nerve I grabbed Shawn and pulled him away with me.

"where are we going?" he asked.

"for a walk" I said.

"okay!" he grabbed my hand.

"I need a break from my cousins" I laughed.

"yeah I could see that! They sure do ask a lot of questions!"

"that they do!"

We walked around the campsite for about an hour before we headed back to our sight for the night. Once we got back everyone was getting ready for bed, me and Shawn grabbed our sleeping bags from the jeep and I went to go into the trailer but my mom stopped me.

"little lady, your not staying in here" she said.

"what! why not?"

"because your staying in the tent over there!" she smiled.

Turning around I looked at the little tent that was set up. Rolling my eyes I turned around and looked at my mom.

"you can't be serious?"

"I am! You guys can just cuddle because it's suppose to get really cold out tonight. Goodnight Y/N Love you"

"love you to mom" I said as she shut the door.

Crawling into the tent with Shawn we set up our sleeping bags and crawled into them. He pulled me up beside him and wrapped his arms around me.

"my mom said it's suppose to get pretty cold out tonight" I said.

"well that's good! more snuggles then" he said nuzzling his head into the back of my neck.

Squishing myself closer to him I closed my eyes and willed myself to fall asleep.

"Y/N, do you hear that?" Shawn shook me.

"hear what?" I asked.

"that" he said as I heard a rustle come from the back of the tent.

"it's probably just an animal." I said grabbing my phone.

Turning on my flashlight I shone it where the noise was coming from. Seeing a scary big silhouette I got up and Shawn followed me. Running to his jeep he unlocked the doors and we got in.

"I guess were sleeping in here" he laughed.

"I guess so!" I smiled.

We crawled into the back of the jeep and just lied down together. At least if anything wanted to eat us it would have to go through the jeep first.

Guys i'm so freaking sad. Avicii passed away today and i'm legit crying, he was one of my favs :(
