Karate

Shawn's P.O.V

This morning I got up and went to get ready to watch my girlfriend Y/N. She had a karate tournament this weekend and I was excited, it was the first time in a while i'd be able to watch.

She was truly amazing when it came to karate. I knew it was something she loved to do, it was like me and singing. I had driven to the centre to watch, pulling my hood up so I could get inside and not be recognized I got out of my jeep.

Heading inside I could already hear all the noise. Sitting down on the bleachers I could see Y/N sitting on a bench across the room. I looked at her until she looked over at me. When she did she smiled the best she could with her mouth piece in. Laughing a little I waved at her and gave her a thumbs up.

"up next Y/N Y/L/N" the announcer said.

Y/N got off the bench and her team mates clapped her on the back as she walked towards the mat. Y/N took her spot on the mat and started doing all sorts of different things. Breaking boards with her hands and feet. You name it she was doing it.

The judges then compiled all the scores together and Y/N got a pretty good score. After watching a few of the other people head to the mat Y/N's grouping was finally done. Now they all just had to wait for a final score from the judges. Y/N ended up placing first out of the other competitors.

Standing up to cheer for her I was probably the loudest one in there. Also forgetting that there were a bunch of teenage girls here and hearing all the high pitched screams.

After signing a few things for some of the girls and taking a few photos Y/N came around the corner and smiled at me.

"Hi baby girl" I pulled her into me and kissed the top of her head.

"Hi, thank-you so much for coming. I was actually pretty nervous before you showed up" she wrapped her arms around me.

"Your welcome babe"

She pulled away from me and just wrapped one arm around me as we walked out of the building.

"want to come back to my place?" I asked.

"yeah sure! I'll just text my mom and tell her she doesn't have to come get me" she pulled out her phone.

"okay"

We continued walking over to my jeep and when we got closer I opened it and we got in.

"You did really good out there today, i'm so happy you won" I smiled over at Y/N while starting the jeep.

"Thanks Shawn! I'm actually a little surprised I won, I didn't do as well as the others"

"I'd say you did better than the others since you won and they didn't"

Y/N burst out laughing at what I had just said.

"why are you laughing?" I smiled pulling out of the parking lot.

"oh no reason, your just so cute is all" she giggled.

"yeah thanks, I love being called cute at 20 years old"

"oh Shawn!" she smirked.

Grabbing her hand I kissed it and just held it as we drove down the road back to my place.
