Babysitting

Y/N's P.O.V

Walking over to the Mendes' house I was trying to pull my hoodie closer to me. It was to cold out to be summer time but here we were. Cold in the middle of July.

I walked up the front steps and knocked on the door. My mom following close behind. Mrs. Mendes opened the door and let me inside.

"Y/N, it's so nice of you to watch Aaliyah while me and your mom go out!" she smiled.

"It's no problem! I love hanging with Aaliyah" I smiled.

Aaliyah had an older brother but I had never seen him before because he was usually out with friends. Walking into the living room and seeing Aaliyah on the couch watching a movie I went and joined her.

Hearing our moms call out that they were leaving I could hear someone barreling down the stairs.

"mom!" a voice said.

"Shawn i'm leaving"

"yeah I know can I go out tonight?" he asked.

"yes be back at a respectable hour please!"

Hearing the front door click shut I knew they were gone.

"Aaliyah your on-" he paused when he saw me.

"Hey i'm Shawn!" he smiled.

"nice to finally meet you Shawn" I could feel the heat rise to my face. "i'm Y/N!" I shook his hand.

"your so dumb Shawn she's here all the time" Aaliyah laughed.

"really?" he looked a little shocked and sat down on the couch next to me.

"yeah I am" I looked at him taking in all his features.

"i'm going to make snacks, Y/N can you help me?" Shawn asked getting up.

"uh sure?" getting up I gave Aaliyah a look.

She just smiled and started laughing as we walked away.

"So Y/N I didn't know you were at my house that often. If i'm being honest I've never seen you here" Shawn said pulling things out of the pantry.

"Well Shawn if i'm being honest I've never seen you here either" I said.

"yeah, i'm usually out with my friends" his face turning red.

"that's nice" I said helping him with the snacks.

"Would it be weird if I did this?" he asked while pining me to the counter.

I could feel his warm breath on my face. Looking up into his eyes I looked back to his lips. God they looked so kissable. Leaning in a little he met me halfway closing the gap between us.  Pulling back when we heard Aaliyah clear her throat.

"Oh uh hey" Shawn smiled.

"Hurry up with those snacks" she walked away.

Shawn laughed a little and kissed me again before walking off with the snacks.
