Shawn's P.O.V

Waking up in the middle of the night to an empty bed was unusual. Calling out quietly to Y/N she didn't answer, I got up out of bed and carefully walked out of room careful not to step on anything. I didn't want our kids to wake up because they were so little it was hard to put them both back to bed.

"Y/N" I called quietly again.

Still no answer.

Checking Lily's room nothing.

Opening the door quietly to Lucas' room I saw Y/N sitting in the rocking chair in the corner. She had him in her arms and was rubbing his back while gently rocking.

I could hear her humming and could barely make out the tune of Perfectly Wrong since she was humming so gently. She quickly glanced up and smiled at me.

"i'll be back in a minute" she whispered.

"okay" smiling I closed the door a little bit and walked back to our room.

I couldn't believe the perfect little family me and Y/N had. We had been pretty young when we had Lily and then just a few years ago we had Lucas.

Hearing a door gently click shut I heard Y/N's feet gently pad across the floor.

"Hey" I said when she walked in.

"Hiya" she came back to lay next to me.

Pulling the blankets back over us I pulled her into me and she laid her head on my chest.

"mhhh this is like when we were still teenagers living in the apartment" I could feel her smile on my chest.

"yes! those were good times" I smiled twirling a piece of her hair in my fingers.

"totally" she yawned.

"go to sleep babes you know they are going to get us up early!"

"yeah I know" she sighed.

"Love you" I kissed the top of her head.
