Secret Identity

Y/N's P.O.V

Walking down the street I was wearing a hat and sunglasses yet again. Living a double life was hard, but even harder when Shawn Mendes was trying to catch the attention of my rockstar alter ego.

Ducking into a small shop on the side of the street I went inside and sat down at a booth. Looking around I had gone into a diner. A waitress came up to me and gave me a menu asking which drink I would like. Smiling I asked for a water and she left.

Hearing the bell on the door ring I looked up and saw Shawn. Hoping he somehow wouldn't notice me I ducked my head.

"Y/N! Hey!" he smiled and sat down across from me.

"Hi Shawn" I sighed taking off my hat and sunglasses.

"You know you look an aweful lot like (your rockstar name)" he squinted his eyes looking at me.

"uh yeah, I get that a lot" I felt like freaking Hannah Montana.

"now that I think about do you know her?"

"Shawn we have been best friends for a while now. If I knew her I would tell you!" I laughed nervously.

Truth is I can't tell Shawn that i'm my own alter ego. He would either hate me for keeping it a secret from him or he wouldn't want to date my alter ego anymore. Which i'm hoping it was the second one that would happen if I told him.

Hearing the door ring again I looked up and saw some girls walk in wearing my merchandise. Pulling my hat and sunglasses on again I smiled as they walked by. This was so much harder without my wig and makeup.

"why do you keep doing that Y/N!" Shawn asked.

"come with me!" I got out of the booth and pulled him behind me.

Dragging him outside and into a nearby alleyway I took off my hat and glasses yet again and pulled my wig out of my bag. Securing it on my head I looked at Shawn and his jaw dropped.

"wh-what?"

"yeah i'm (your rockstar name)"

"that's why everytime I asked you to come to a show with me you had some other plans"

"yes"

"and when I wanted to go to her meet and greet you wouldn't let me because you said she- or you was rude"

"yes"

"Y/N! why didn't you tell me?"

"because I didn't want you to freak out I was going to tell you but I had to make the timing right"

"well was the timing right?"

"I don't know" I sighed.

"I think it was" Shawn pulled me closer to him and dipped down to kiss my lips.

Pulling back I was a little stunned.

"your not mad?"

"how could I be? My best friend and my crush are the same person!" Shawn smiled.

Walking out of the alley hand and hand we went back into the diner and ordered lunch.
