38.Miss me?

He laughed and told "Actually Princess I think I will share that secret with you.Thats what friends will do right?But you should promise me that you will not tell Kavya about that.Okay?"

Again Friends.?How many times will he use this word and which friends will talk like this in cold,shivering and that thought made me worry actually.I can't imagine me sitting here in balcony covering myself with blanket and talking in phone with him.God what's wrong with me?

Suddenly I heard a muffed voice from the phone and hence I came back to my sense.I replied "Yeah.I promise."

He started telling "Actually Kavya drinks wine and vodka sometimes and my parents are not aware of that.That is the secret with which I have blackmailed her today."

"Oh.." I just sighed and he immediately got the change in my reaction.

"Princess ,What happened?You are okay?" He asked holding his breath inside showing me the utmost concern in his voice.

"I am okay Vikranth.Stop worrying about me like that.I can handle myself.I am not a small kid or something who needs a guardian to take care of." I snapped showing my anger in the form of words.

He didn't speak for some time but then after a period of silence I heard him clearing his throat and then he spoke "You are angry on me for any reason princess?"

God this man is driving me crazy with his goodness and concern.I felt bad for my sudden outburst and reduced the intensity in my voice I said "No Babu.I am fine.You are making me feel like a small puppy everytime when you are showing this much concern."

He laughed and then he said "I liked it."

"What?" I asked not understanding what he liked in that.

"Babu.Its like a nickname for me right.I liked it." He said and I can clearly see the excitement in his words.

Yeah I did give him a nickname and I didn't realise that until he pointed out that I used that word.I liked it but do we really need a nickname when we are friends?

I shifted myself to other side of chair and keeping my legs on the table in front of me I sighed with relief because of my new position.Then I said "You already have one nickname right?Vikky it is.Correct?"

I have noticed Meghna calling him Vikky sometimes.I have never heard any of his friends calling him like that.She is the only person who calls him like that.

He huffed and said "Yeah Meghna used to call me like that.Its not that she alone has to call like that and all.But no one used that name to call me except her."

"Oh..Good.Nice Nick name." One can clearly sense the anger in my voice.I do think he realised that.

"Princess , we already discussed about this right?Can't we just leave our past behind and go ahead with our present relationship?" He asked as if he is pleading me.

I don't know how to answer that because whatever he is asking me to do is very much difficult for me.I can't leave back his past when I know that he thought of marrying a girl who still loves him and is working with him in same place.

Yeah I know that Meghna still has some feelings for him by the way she left our marriage and the way she brushed his hand after trip having me notice that scene.She sure is trying to make me feel uncomfortable about her.

Hiding all these thoughts I asked "How was your friend?Is he fine now?"

"Hmm.Sort of princess.He should be fine but for now he isn't.Treatment is going on and we have to see how fast he recovers." He said and I can sense a hint of sadness in his words.

"What happened to him?Is it serious?" I asked folding my legs up and covering my toes as I am getting chills on my foot.

"Hmm yeah.He is suffering from cancer princess.And now he is undergoing chemotherapy and as it is his first sitting he is getting tensed a little which is not good for his heart." He told and the way he described that I felt really bad for that person.

"Hmm.Dont worry, he will be okay.When will you come back?" I asked trying to divert the topic as I know he is not feeling well when we are discussing about his friend's health.

"Mostly in 2 days princess.I will come and be there for few days and again will come back for next session.Why Princess?Missing me?" He asked with some pride and humour hidden in his words.

"You wish.!" I told making a point that I am not going to miss him even though he wanted me to.But internally am I missing him.? Is that why I am not able to sleep?

He chuckled and after few seconds of silence he said " Princess it's 2 o clock.You have to go to college tomorrow right?Go and sleep for some time.I will call you in morning to wake you."

I said "Okay fine.Good night."

He wished back and said "Good night princess.And yeah I have kept 3 pairs of dresses in cupboard with dates written on top of them.Wear those according to the dates."

I was amused by his concern and care towards me.God this man is seriously playing with my thoughts.One minute he will make me think that nothing is there and we are friends and one minute boom.All back to his care and concern.

I replied "You don't have to do that.I should have managed."

"I already told you right I will never allow you to manage on your own.You are my responsibility.And I do care for you.Trust me princess.Even I don't know how much I care for you and how much you mean to me."he said making me again forget all the things that has been roaming around friends word.

"And you will care like this for all of your friends?" I snapped and realised that I shouldn't have told those words and immediately told "Okay fine.Lets sleep.Good night."

He didn't reply and after some silence he said "You are not equal to my remaining friends princess.You are special to me and I can't explain how much you mean to me.Good night Princess.Have a nice sleep.Will wake you up tomorrow morning and yeah trust me You are very important to me and I don't have a reason for that."

"Good night" I told and disconnected call as I don't know what to say and how to react to that.
